In a recent candy apple survey, my subscribers told me that they love royal blue candy apples over the other colors given. Y'all are brats because I've already done a royal blue candy apple tutorial. Diva's and Queens get what they want right?...lol. That's why I'm Diy Queen Diva...lol. It is my pleasure to bring another royal blue candy apple tutorial with different gel food colorings to achieve royal blue candy apples.
I dipped 12 candy apples with no problem using the 6-4-1 candy apple recipe. I still had a lot of candy apple mixture left to make another dozen of 12 royal blue candy apples. The candy apple mixture was still flowing at the 12th candy apple and did not thicken up on me before I was done. This 6-4-1 candy apple recipe and the royal blue is very loyal...lol. You will not have any worries about achieving what you want. These royal blue candy apples are definitely fit for a Queen! Royal is so loyal!
Oh, yeah! Don't forget to comment down below to let me know if you think my accent is country, country-country, or not country at all. Some of y'all be telling me I'm country....lol. This is hilarious! If you have any other comments about this tutorial, please leave them down below in the comment section.

When I was growing up our candy apples tasted like butter it was so good, not a big fan of the modern candy apples melt’s really fast. Great look
Put them in the refrigerator and they last a very long time.💕

Coming from another country person I don’t think you’re country 😂😂.. I love your personality !! ❣️💯😊
Awwww! This comment is so sweet. Thank you so much.💕
Hi, Love this channel. Could golden apples be used?
Thank you. If you’re making them for yourself and household sure. If you’re making them for a customer probably not because they are sweeter which means when you do the apple cleaning process it’s more sugar to release that causes sap on the apples. A golden apple and all other apples are harder to clean. Which means you may have bubbles on your candy. I hope this helps you.💕
I think you are Southern Queen!
That’s so sweet.💕
Hello again! I wanna try a different flavor. I used the same butter vanilla you use. There are some other LorAnn bakery emulsion flavors i wanna try. Have you tried anything other than butter vanilla? And would i use the same amount?
Yes, please experiment with flavors. When you experiment you'll know what you like best for yourself and customers. Yes, I've tried the strawberry and it's amazing. The only thing is the strawberry by LorAnn's is thick so I had to actually get a teaspoon so I wouldn't put no more in it. McCormick is my second brand that I love when it comes to flavor. I hope this helps you.
Where did you get the crowns from? They are beautiful
Thank you so much. I have them in my Amazon bake shop here: www.amazon.com/shop/diyqueendiva
Hello l try making royal blue l used chef master liquid gel food coloring, and l used chef master white candy color,it looked blue in the pot but on the apple it looks like green ,and when l tru to scrap the bottom of the apple its thick and l get all theses long strands of candy, and it takes most of the candy off the bottom, what am l doing wrong help, maybe on working to slow
And yes your a little bit country, lol
But you are awesome when it comes to doing candy apples for sure, much love and blessing
Oh, you tried to slick in the country part.😂😂 Thank you for your sweet comment...lol. When it comes down to gel food coloring my preference is Hobby Lobby's gel food coloring. Wilton’s white icing color. I ONLY use Chefmaster for metallic colors like gold and silver.
Reasons why your candy thickens: You could possible be working too slow, but I take my time and it doesn't thicken when I use 6-4-1 candy apple recipe. What candy apple recipe did you use? If you put in too much gel food coloring that can cause your candy apples to thicken as well.
Hello! Love these! If you’re going to bag the apples how long do you wait before you bag them?
Thank you so much. As soon as I finish making the last apple, I go ahead and bag them.💕
@@DIYQUEENDIVA thank you for replying! ❤️
You’re so welcome. I’m always here if you have any questions.💕
Very country
😂😂😂😂
Hi can you tell what brand of white you use please
I prefer Wilton’s white icing color. This is the best to use because it doesn’t alters the taste of your candy apples. Make sure you don’t use too much gel food coloring because that will happen or your candy apples will come out too thick.💕
Not sure what I did but it was royal blue until I dipped the apple and it turned teal. I used wilton color blue and purple🤷🏽♀️
This is why I don't fool with Wilton's colors except the white icing color. Do you have a nearby Hobby Lobby? I only use Hobby Lobby's gel food colorings. If not, try to test your colors like this before making your candy apple mixture so you don't waste ingredients. ruclips.net/video/RL-jiskFvuY/видео.htmlsi=KugftIW8U_k9Cnpo
Good evening dear, would I be able to cut the recipe in half for less apples? Thank you!
Absolutely.
@@DIYQUEENDIVA thank you!
You're so welcome.
When you scrape the access candy off at the end of the pot. Do it not have candy at the top of the apple?
When I scrape the extra candy off the bottom it’s to make my candy apples look perfect. I always have candy at the top of my apples. My apples are fully covered but I don’t like the extra candy on the bottom but some people love the extra candy. I hope this helps you.💕

Hey! I was wondering I am making navy blue candied apples and I was wondering do I add a little white gel food coloring or is it best to not add nun at all
Yes, you do so they don't look translucent. I add white to all of my candy apples except black and metallic colors. As far as red candy apples just a dab of white to prevent them from turning pink. Other than that, I add white gel food coloring to all of my candy apples.
@@DIYQUEENDIVA thank you so much for this information
You're so welcome!
Hi, How do you make the candy not so thick? Do you add more water? How do you make your colors dark when coloring? Do you add the color 1st then add the white in the end? 😊
Hey! I usually use my recipes for small, medium, and large batches to get no thick candy apples. As far as color I usually put my coloring in at the beginning because once it cooks it’s a shade darker but if you want an exact color wait til the end to add all colors. If I am making white candy apples I wait to add white at the end to get a bright white. Otherwise I usually add all colors at the beginning unless I am trying to make the exact color or white candy apples. I hope this helps you.💕
@@DIYQUEENDIVA thank you.
You're so welcome.
Heyy! I have another question so with the chocolate apples I was just practicing and very short notice for practice I boiled the apple for 10 seconds, then placed it in cold water I didn’t let it sit for 24 nor 48 hours. So, as I was dipping the apple I thought my chocolate was cool but turns out it wasn’t because I kept getting elephant skin, to shorting it up can you tell me what may be causing my chocolate to fall off in chunks when it’s completely dries and I cut it open?
You don’t necessarily have to clean your apples like candy apples when you’re doing chocolate. As far as the elephant skin, yes let your chocolate cool down. Are you asking why your chocolate is falling off when you cut into the apple?
@@DIYQUEENDIVA yes ma’am
@@kiya1980 it could be several thigs. Either you had water still left on your apples and didn't dry them off well which could cause the chocolate not to adhere completely to the skin of the apple. This can also happen with too much wax on the apple. Or your cutting utensil was not sharp enough. I hope this helps you.
@@DIYQUEENDIVA thank you so much for your help!
Hi, what kind of flavoring did you use?
I always use Lorann’s butter vanilla unless the customer request for something different. That’s in my Amazon bake shop.💕
Courty courty
😂😂😂😂
Country like me down south
🤣🤣🤣
I love you videos and recipe
@@lydia197620 thank you so much. I'm so glad you love them.
Hey could you tell me why my mix keeps coming out watery?
If you have a candy thermometer at let your candy reach 300 degrees then you should have a perfect crunch. You must have a candy thermometer. If you want to have thick candy apples use a cup less of water. I hope this helps you.💕
Did you have to heat your apples to remove the wax?
I remove the wax on the apples by using lemon juice, baking soda, and salt. Here's my TV Series on how I clean my apples for candy apples - ruclips.net/p/PLSve20__OpxHn2jrfGgn4H_zj7MSckuWR&si=4Z8GrQbtk6a_MZls 💕
I was about to ask this thank you ❤
I made some apples on Friday and by today, the candy started to break down off the apple. What could I be doing wrong
Either you didn't clean the wax off good or your house is too warm. Did you put them in the refrigerator or keep them out on the kitchen counter?
Hi, what size and brand pot did you use?
Hey! Scroll down in the description box for my Amazon bake shop link. The two I use all the time are in my Amazon bake shop. I use the 3.5 quart the majority of the time.
@@DIYQUEENDIVA Thank you

Country country
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
My gel food coloring burned! It turned dark brown and made my candy watery and bitter! Still cooled crunchy and glossy but my apples were ruined 😭
It sounds like you let your candy mixture burn. Either you had your stove too high or your candy thermometer is not working. You could have rinsed the candy off with hot water and started over. Make sure your candy thermometer is working. If it happens again and you cook your candy to 300 degrees, replace your candy thermometer. Put your stove on 4.💕
Country country lol
😂😂😂
You not country, you just from the south
Awww, I love you!!!!! Thank you!
