Candy Apple Recipe
3-5 Granny Medium Smith Apples
Sugar
Karo Syrup
Water
Gel Food Coloring
Flavoring
Candy Apple Sticks
Plastic apple bags and ties
ribbons and decorations
(Flavoring is optional)
Food Coloring - 36 Color Concentrated Liquid Food Colouring Set - neon Liquid Food Color Dye for Baking, Decorating, Icing, Cooking, Slime Making Kit and DIY Crafts, 6ml Bottles(0.2 fl.oz.) a.co/d/7v0Bc64
●Rinse Apples then boil Apples for 6 seconds each to remove the wax!
●Allow Apples to seep on a cookie sheet lined with clean dry paper towels for 24 hours.
●After 24 hours rinse the apples. Then throughout dry.
●Place sticks in the middle of each apple about 1/2 inch.
Candy Mixture (Batch 1)
2 cups of sugar
1 cups of water
1 cup of light Karo Corn Syrup
gel food color
Stir ingredients well and then boil; using a candy thermometer and stirring occasionally until the temperature reaches 300• FAHRENHEIT
Add 2-3 tsp of white gel food coloring when mixture reaches 300° FAHRENHEIT
Allow bubbles to settle then dip Apples and place them on a nonstic mat. Allow Apples to harden.

Allow bubbles to settle then dip and swirl apples in the candy mixture. Place Apples on a nonstic mat. Allow Apples to harden.

If you don't mind, can in suggest something? After you dip the apples, scrape them on the side of the pan more than once. Several times to be exact. Doing so, will keep the bottom from pooling out and have that big bottom. That's not eye pleasing at all. Other than that, I Love this technique. The only thing I would add is after dipping a couple I would add more color! Great job. They are beautiful👌👌

Welcome to my Channel. I would say about 6 medium apples. I waisted alot of candy with these because I was concentrating on trying to achieve the tye dye effect. Adding lots of coloring will tend to thicken your mixture quicker. Thank you for asking. I will try to remember to include the amount in the next video.

The hardened process will start as soon as the candy cools down. I let each layer of candy dry between dipping. That was a great question! How did you clean the apples? Did you use vinegar?
Hi, welcome to my channel. Placed them in boiling water for 12 seconds. Remove from water and rinse in cold water. Place apples on a dry paper towel for 24 hours. This will allow the apples to seep. After 24 hours, wipe the apple clean with a damp paper towel. Apples are ready for dipping once they are completely dry.

Welcome to my Channel. The double dipping does add another layer of candy to the apple. I personally like to lock my candy apple a little while before I bite into it. I wouldn't say it's difficult to eat , just an extra layer of candy. You can also control how long you swirl it for the second dip.
