    Sooo I'm leaning more towards last weeks Kinky Curly wash n go, but still love this combo. What do you guys think?

      I like Kinky Curly because it gives my hair volume/definition/moisture (when dried) and there is no glycerin. You are getting it in on these wash and gos- I think whichever combo you choose will look dope!

      Looks great and it's def growing! About how many pumps of the uncle funky's do you think you use per section and/or on your entire head? I'm struggling with my water to product ratio. I don't think I'm adding enough product. Thanks!

    • @BrittanyMia

      @@devonhoward333 once I split my hair into four sections, I then split that fourth of a section into halves or thirds. In those smaller sections I use 2 to 3 pumps each, so about 6 to 8 pumps total for that fourth of a section. I really smooth in the product and remember to add water every few seconds as I’m styling.

    I've just started doing WnG, just did my 3rd ever WnG today, 2nd this year and this month, I did my first last year December and I loved it but somehow didn't go back to doing it again until now. I found your channel just last night and I've been binging ALL DAY! I love how you document everything so well, you've honestly made me fall in love with my own WnGs and I haven't even figured my routine out yet 😂. I've been washing my hair twice a week but doing other things with my hair in between wash days, but WnGs are literally the winner! 🙌🏾 I honestly find them easier to do than everything else I've been doing 🙆🏾‍♀️ got me wondering why I've avoided them so much for so long. Thank you for your consistency, doing it for all of us who can't do it for ourselves. God bless you. 🌹

I have sooooo many styling products just collecting dust on my shelf because styling for me was a wash & NO GO 🤦🏽‍♀️. My focus has been using Ayurvedic treatments and healthy hair so I’ve just been tucking my hair away with scarves, faux locs, faux buns, & wigs. I think I’m ready to give styling my natural coils anther try!!!! 🧡🖤

    Another successful wash n go!!! I think I like this combo better ❤. Do you recall at what point in your journey did you start shaking your hair? Last month I shaved all my hair off and started over. I'm curious how you define your curls after you cut off your hair and at what point did you start to shake for definition?....thank you in advance 😊

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  2 года назад +3

      I started to shake when my hair was long enough to actually separate when I shook my head. I realized that I could literally wet my hair, slap the gel or custard in my hair and work it in with my fingers. Then I would wet my head a little bit again and then shake my head out. This was probably around the 7 to 8 month mark after my big chop. Before I got to that point, I was just working the product in using circular motions with my palm to define my curls. I hope that helps!

      @@BrittanyMia Thank you so much for answering my questions. I like the Kinky Curly combo too but the curls on this video were pop pop popping! I'd be curious to see results from the Kinky Curly combo using the same techniques that you used in this video (smoothing without tool/detangling). Either way they're both beautiful.

  • @rachelm.3173

    I love this wash and go! 😍 I'll have to try the Curlsmith style fixer. I've only tried one product from the brand, the Miracle shield which is pretty good. I purchased the new Curlsmith diffuser and it's well worth the money. It doesn't dry out my coils. I actually like to diffuse my hair now.

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  2 года назад +1

      Yes, give it a try! I’ve been looking into that diffuser, but I typically don’t use one every wash day. I really don’t like diffusing my hair because I’m impatient I’d rather just sit under a dryer. Do you use a hooded dryer? Is the diffuser a quicker dry time?

    • @rachelm.3173
      @rachelm.3173 2 года назад +1

      @@BrittanyMia I've used a hooded dryer a few times. Hated it! But, I have a real basic, table top hooded dryer. Maybe if I upgraded I wouldn't mind being annoyed by sitting under that heat for an hour, Lol. The dry time when I diffuse is not the fastest. I diffuse for like 45 minutes( just long enough to get the outer layer dry), and even then my roots are still wet. My results are still great...diffusing gives me a better gel cast.

    2:58 yes we do 😂🤣☠️. And the curl definition is Chef-Kiss. Yaas 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
    So, is it the detangling w no tools + the smoothing that made it so juicy OR the product? 6:36 I guess he devil is in the details.. U making me want to get the Curl Smith gel too to test out the difference!!
    [I just finished setting mine moments ago w UFD (base) and innersense's "I create hold" (topper) finally - w no complaints]

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  2 года назад +2

      They need to pay me at this point 😩😂. Thank you 💕
      I believe the detangling with no tools and smoothing is what made it juicier. The product also matters but the technique is what made it so the curls were more clumped together. Do it! I want to know what you think!!!
      Thanks for letting me know. I’ll have to give that a try.

    • @yvonnemurphy7506

      it's what the black girl curls folks recommend as being the standard so I just fell in line. All of these products are high end and pricey so if I'm gonna invest I wanna be very clear on which works well for me / mine..

    Deep conditioners work for me as well, I use as I see fit, even though the gels say no alcohol , I feel it’s still some type of drying agent that helps define our curls, the curl gel that you use, do you use the entire line? Would you compare it to the Camille rose curl maker? Love your channel

    • @BrittanyMia
      @BrittanyMia  2 года назад

      I have used the entire line of Uncle Funky‘s Daughter products. But my favorites are the Curly Magic and the Supercurl. I also love the Heal & Renew deep conditioner.
