New versions of the Windows Operating System have quite a track record of being highly unstable and buggy when they are first released to the general populous, and Windows 10 did nothing but add to this reputation. When it came out, Windows 10 was simply riddled with problems and issues, one of which was the “Preparing automatic repair” loop. The “Preparing automatic repair” screen is the screen that a Windows 10 user sees when something goes wrong with their computer and Windows 10 attempts to fix it by itself.

Users who suffered from the “Preparing automatic repair” loop would be able to successfully install and use Windows 10, but only until their first reboot. As soon as they rebooted their computer after the installation of Windows 10, they would see the “Preparing automatic repair” screen, after which their computer would force reboot and the Windows fill fail to start, and so on.

hi, how did you fix it? at 02:52 you did PUT c: But initially[01:00], you put d: at--- chkdsk d: /f /r ... like this, CORRECT?? I face the same problem d: is my actual C:/ DRIVE

Hello, I started your instructions on my pc. Everything was turning out like the above video. However, once I got to the 5th step, (BCDEDIT /EXPORT C:\BCDBACKUP) i got a different result. It says "The store export has failed. The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file format." I'd welcome any suggestions. Thank you!

Try to change your drive letter from in the command and see if windows can find your drive, example D:\boot, etc,
My laptop was just working not it won’t turn on I can feel the fans turn on for a little then it turns off and when it comes on it goes right off instantly

none of these are working for me and I cant figure it out I need some help here, i turned my hp laptop on and off 3 times right before hp loading screen pops up, nothing. I pressed f9 till it went to the preparing automatic repair, nothing, same with the other keys

@@anmrie6712 Only option id say is to reset your Laptop/PC, and pick the one that says 'Keep files and delete apps and settings'. Or you could just try any other options, like using a USB.

After Bcd.old , it is showing system cannot find the file specificed
Sorry to say it didn't work for my laptop. Most of the processes and steps were completed but I got the message, "there was a problem resetting your pc, no changes were made."Seems this method isn't bullet proof. It will do prompt commands and the touch screen works and responds to options, all with a blue screen background. and still no boot.... to boot.

My machine went into a loop a few months ago. I tried repeated to go thru the automatic recovery unsuccessfully. Your video took me through several manifestations but finally the last procedure worked. So people don't give up till you've tried them all~!

I can't even get to the automatic repair screen. I press the F9 key and it gives me a Please select boot device. I hit enter to the UEFI Boot Source and it doesn't do anything. I enter on the Legacy Boot Source and nothing. I enter on the Windows Boot Manager, it goes back to the Preparing Automatic Repair screen. The F7 and F8 keys takes the screen back to the loop. I've done system diagnostics and everything says is fine. I just don't know what to do. I just want it to turn on so I can save what I need. I don't care about anything else. 🥺

None of this worked for me. It kept on asking for my Bitlocker recovery code which I had to go into my Microsoft account and get. Then after all of that my only option was to reset my PC which I lost some of my files but I didn’t mind because my IPhone was linked to my IPhone so I could recover them there.

mine was restarting and i accidentally unplugged it and it’s stuck on the restart screen saying “the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error” etc....

I just got mine fixed, this is how i did it
1stTurn of your pc, then turn it back on at the same time spamming the F11. Then it will bring you to a booting system, just enter the first one w8 for the fixing, if ever will be ask to skip a thing by using any key just skip it.
