  • This was the first time I changed everything on my mower. It took longer than it normally would. abreakong the Spark plug cable didn't help at all but my neighbor was a big help. #husqvarna #husqvarnaz252f #zeroturnmower

I have the same mower and instead of buying a replacement hose for the grease gun, I changed the two zerk fittings on the mower deck to 90 degree fittings.
Shame the opening in the frame isn't bigger to allow most of the filter oil to drain without making a mess.

Bend that hose keeper up and pull the drain hose up and run it down through the hole in the plate behind the keeper so it dont leak all over everything. Good video.

Pro tip: Find an old auto engine spark plug wire, take the straight rubber plug boot off, and put the new plug in it. It flexes, so it's easy to get the new plug started in the threads. I've got a half dozen of the rubber boots scattered everywhere so one is always handy.

For the oil filter spill, you can cut one side of an old quart oil bottle off
making a little catchment so that when unscrewing the filter all the oil does not spill and is caught by the old bottle.

I also have one 90 degree zerk nipple;) I will take take a open end wrench 🔧 to take the straight zerks off use the 90 degree one to grease the deck for that same reason. I do not leave the 90 degree zerk on since it spins and could be a hazard and cause damage to something.

Hard to explain but I cut a bottle of water in half and stick it under the filter it caught it all for me.

Great idea.....not much oil drains out when pulling the filter so it should catch it all.

I bought it at the Husqvarna dealership. Kawasaki tune up kit 99969-6541 for the FR541v and FR600v motors
