You sure deserve this present... you guys work extremely hard and anything that makes life a little easier is def worth it. I am 62 and just starting to find out things that I use to do I'm having a little bit of trouble getting done with that same ease. I am still healthy and strong but to keep that why not use the things available to us. God bless you guys, you are both so appreciated for your hard work..

I got a Z254F special edition 4 weeks ago, mowed my 5.5 acre horse property that has no horses. it did great, the pastures had not been cut all summer, were 2 ft tall grass and weeds. Had to make two passes in the deep stuff but the whole place looks like a lawn now. The engine is very powerful. Mine has the 23 hp Kawasaki. Very happy with it.
how long did it take for the 5.5ac?
28 hours. Grass and weeds were at least two foot tall. @@sn0wchyld

Only asking as I just bought 5ac myself, hoping it doesn't take quite that long haha.
Yes it took multiple sessions over a week, during the weekend and after work, it was very thick and high and took two passes. The first pass very slow. Next summer will cut it when the pastures are about 6 inches and will probably go very quick.
I love these kind of mowers. I use to help mow with them and they are so cool and fast.
I am so proud of you Wanda. I don't think I could do that well, I am not very coordinated. It sure will save a lot f time this year in mowing, it goes super fast. Have a Blessed day.

I just got mine. I've scuffed up several young trees and almost took out a gate. Only complaint is it don't like banks. Other than that it has taken an hour and a half off my mowing. Love that!

Just imagine you are pushing a grocery cart when you are trying to steer the handles. That’s how the salesman told me to learn how to mow with a zero turn mower. It really helped me get the hang of of handling mower. Hope that helps.

Way to go Wanda! You'll be expert level in no time. Seeing as how I'm watching this 2 years after it was uploaded I'm sure you can do anything on that mower now. I remember my first time on a zero turn. Scary, but a lot of fun!
That’s a merry-go-round lawnmower , my buddy has one , make you dizzy donuts without the slide !
Nerve cut your lawn with the blades in number 1 position unless you are on golf greens. Plus wheels on the deck should be adjusted on new machines to your cutting level other wise the deck will dig into the ground. I'm not an expert but was told this by a Husqvarna dealer.😊

Look at the Electric PTO on the John. Deer and see if that's the problem If y'all have checked all the belts and pulleys and it still wont-work. You should take the deck off and use it tractor

I would probably drive it without the mower engaged first, til I got the hang of it. And slowly, lol. Glad you got a new one, when it's time, it's time.
I rode around for a couple of hours worked my way up to going around things then mowed.
We have an ExMark and we love it! It is actually our third ExMark. Having a family-owned lawn care business we have been spoiled by these mowers! As a side note--they really are fun to drive😊
They are fun especially being able to turn on the spot, saves so much time when you have a lot of land to do. I used to use one of these for my job mowing empty lots of acres and acres. I killed two of them in one day once

I have the Z248f and it is very temperamental with the control sticks. I have to slam them out to keep the mower running or too start it.
Hahaha well done!!! Awesome job. I almost crashed into a retaining wall when I first drove one but now it’s super easy. I found that if I held the handles on the curve I had better control & less of a death grip 😂
Amazing and scary at the same time, my exact thoughts first time I drove a zero turn mower, my pear trees and magnolias still have the scars to show my “learning curve” and I’ve been driving tractors and fork lifts most of my life

Oh i forgot to say I learned the hard way. Turning fast on wet grass will cause ruts. Just a little tip.

When you pull the seat forward, do you see an extra wire with a male head on it not attached to another wire. I have the same model as you. Everything runs fine and works. I inherited the mower from my Father who passed away.
Been thinking of a zero turn. We are on a hillside and it's very uneven. Not sure if you could stay on the seat.
We mow with an 8n and a 72 inch finish mower works good but the wife doesn't like to get close to objects .
So proud for you, great video. Please find some hearing protection you feel comfortable with, and always wear eye protection - even if it's just sunglasses. Best up close cutting is with the left side of the deck, loose that grip just a tad, and keep the moving parts greased. Enjoy!

How do you work the red button?
How is the traction on hills? Is there any frame flex? I read a lot about the Deere's slipping and flexing.
I don't do hills too much. Danny is the one that goes on any hills and he doesn't seem to have too much trouble. But he has run a zero turn for many years.
I have been trying to learn to use one. Hard for me
If you keep this one in the shed, clean it after each use and do the regular maintenance on it, it will last you for ten years, rather than 2yrs, like the others.
Fix things when they break, or when they go wrong, and you won't have to keep buying new mowers.

I dn't know why those other mowers don;t work. You have obviously maintained them with a lot of TLC...lol
You will get the hang of it and wonder how you ever got by without it. I bet your sandy soil is murder on blades and the deck.

I'm confused why you're not bagging all those dead leaves and stuff to improve the look of your property. The operation of the mower is cool, but make it look productive instead of a driving school.
First time using a zero turn. It was more like learning to drive.
Get some driving gloves and you will be Wanda Andretti in no time.
