Granted. The video exposure was a bit over. So get over it. Sht happens. The content however, was exceptional. Probably the most balanced, fair, unbiased, complete review I've seen of the Canon EOS 6D Mark II. Thank you Dustin.
I replaced my 6D with the Mark II and have no regrets. I shoot stills almost exclusively. I did notice a slight reduction in Dynamic Range but I had to look hard to see it. The camera's other features make it a very worthy upgrade IF you are already invested in Canon glass. I do think it's over priced at $2K but mine only cost me $800 after selling my 6D (and a 3rd party Battery Grip).
I personally feel like Canon should of made the 5D4 more of a beast, like Nikon did with the D850, so the 6D2 could be a more well-rounded camera, without severely cutting into 5D4 sales. Great review, as always! Very unbiased with great info.
James Larsen i think for nikon it was a market decision. They are losing ground on sony and their sales took a hit, so they had to throw everything they had behind the d850.
I hate the 6Dii spec-wise, but when I got to actually use the camera, I really enjoyed the ergonomics and the touchscreen. Although I have no intention to switch to Canon, the touchscreen is a step in the right direction, and I would really appreciate future cameras to incorporate a larger screen and remove redundant buttons and keeping only the dual dials and buttons to change metering, WB, and ISO.
Is it good enough? Not at $2000. At $1175 is it good enough? I think so and ordered one. Some of your sample images are 👍 and I’d be happy with them. I love shadow detail so I may need to expose for that making sure not to blow out the highlights.
This is one of the few truly honest and unbiased 6D2 reviews out there. Thank you Dustin. There's one more argument to the video part of things - the older EOS cameras (like the original 6D or 5D3/5D2/7D...) can run MagicLantern modified firmware, which makes it a far superior tool for serious videographers who actually prefer to focus manually while using an external LCD and other stuff like uncompressed HDMI out or even RAW video.
True, though many users are not comfortable going into Magic Lantern territory, and it is hard to do a fair review comparing to what amounts to a hack.
True. ML is not for everyone. I just thought it is worth mentioning, because those 5D3 RAW videos look so much nicer than the usual Canon output. I hope that ML hacks the 6D2 as well soon :).
I am looking to upgrade my 5D Mark III, and can't afford a Mark IV. I am a studio and natural light portrait photographer who rarely pushes or pulls exposures more than a stop. I "expose to the right" a bit, and tend to recover highlights, if I recover at all. I also shoot performances in low light clubs using high ISO, and I shoot families and events and need fast focus and great color. The 6D Mark II , while not perfect, seems like a great camera that is a worthy successor to the beloved 6DMI, with not much real world discernible difference in DR. I also like how lightweight it is. And also, I shoot Fuji mirrorless, so I'm spoiled on lightweight bodies. The 5DMIII feels like a brick on my neck. I'm totally getting a 6DMII, as it seems like a modernized, lighter weight 5DMIII, and that fits my needs to a tee. A great camera for VLOGGING as well, which I am considering doing soon. Thank you for your honest, good reviews. Thumbs up!
Glad to see Dustin, that even though you are a long time Canon user, you aren't afraid to show any given camera brand's model weaknesses vs it's strengths and thus, opt out, at least for your own needs as a non-viable 6D version one replacement option. Plus, one can periodically see that the Canon store, for just another $800.00 offers the Canon user a refurb 5D mark iv body. If I was going to spend $2000.00 for a 6D mark ii, I certainly could come up with another $800.00 for a far superior Canon 5D body. It's refreshing, in this day of brand loyal fan boys, no matter the given camera's shortcomings, to see an honest review. Kudos to you for your honest review and enough valid information presented for a consumer to make an informed decision.
Hi Dustin. Nice roundup. Although it's true that I'm a bit disappointed about the features included, coming from a 60D to a 6D MkII I think it would be a significant upgrade in overall resolution, Dynamic Range and the sensor size alone. Now, there are something that most people don't take into account and that's the EF lens lineup, Canon has robust lens selection (so has Nikon). For example, I just love the 100mm f/2.8L Macro I've been tempted myself to switch to Nikon (I've used their amazing film cameras), Sony, Fuji or even Pentax and in my country Canon has a huge-ass presence, customer service is nice, you can find spare parts and everything; Sony is fine I guess but not in terms of customer service and Fuji... I can't find them, and when I do the price of an XT-1 is almost double it's retail price. Pentax is out of the question, I haven't seen any around. So the 6D Mk II with all its "cons" is still a perfectly capable camera.
Hi Dustin, First of all thank you for the review which put it's brick in my decision as a recent canon 6d mark II owner. So as appreciation of your job here are my 2 cents... First of all, who is this camera for? Well, a stills photographer like me, who does it not for living (though I am not trying to say, this camera couldn't be used as a pro gear). I switched from my beloved 5d mark II and except handling, robust and right hand control options (joystick, buttons layout) it is surely an upscale from what I used to. AF is the reason and the main feature of this cam. It's precise, reliable and just very comfortable. This gave a boost in IQ when I compare my images from 5d mark II at most, not 4 extra Mpx. I found myself mostly using dpaf and a touch screen, it is not very convenient and reliable but it also changed the way I shoot. I feel more connected to my model by nothiding my face behind optical viewfinder and pointing the camera at a person as it would be an assault rifle. Normally I use optical at only for closeups when I need to pitch exactly the eye and 45 at points is enough for me to meet thirds rule. With 5d mark II I had to recompose all the time and half of shots were not perfectly in focus where I wanted it. Also the connectivity as Wi-Fi/blue tooth is great for making a long shutter or multiple expousers for landphotography, so low DC ouldn't have been an issue, but as a matter of fact it is sometimes in done scenarios. I've noticed that during a high contrast lighting in outdoors, sensor captures sort of very washed out raw files, too "pale" or transparent even for raw data, and in post processing there is still not that much that to be done (I shoot only with L glass). I compared it to my 5d mark II with the same DR specsbut didn't find same issues. So, I wouldn't really suggest this camera for landscape photography. It is however great for portraiture, lovely ski tones and low noise at ISO of 4000. Even 12800 I found usable (with 5d mark II 1600 was My border) by the way, I also noticed same magenta tint at high ISO but it could be fairly ecorrected in PS. So as a resume With all have been said it is a good camera and it is a great camera for price paid (1045€), especially for portraiture and indoors photography.
Having been a 6D user it saddens me to see such great camera drop from its place on its second edition. I ended up buying the 5D iv and I am very happy with its functions and dynamic range. Awesome camera that will effectively serve me for the next 4 years. Thanks Abbott for the excellent review.
Just to say a few things, I love the AF system, the unreal image/detail quality, the dedicated multi-controller joystick and also the build quality. Also like features as the delay after pressing the shutter to avoid motion blur.
Well, you know, a cat never talks but to me they have an amazing intelligence. He just came to comfort you about the essential short comings of this camera...:) And that was so sweet!
Dustin .Honest review as always.I have gone for the triple upgrade.I have purchased the 77D,6DMK2 and the Canon EOS M6.(Which I am waiting for your review on).I use the 77D and M6 with longer lenses.The6D with wide angle and portrait lenses and I get faster focusing with all these cameras. The M6 has fantastic fast focusing with the EOS adaptor and long lenses eg: Sigma 600mm Sport, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 and Canon 300mm F4.The performance of the M6 on or better par with the 6DMK2.I use these cameras for stills the odd movie. Not too worried about 4K at this moment in time.I use a Samsung NX1 as well .My opinion nothing from Canon and Nikon Has caught up with it.A shame it was discontinued.
Your score for info and quality of reviews is STILL at 100% Thanks VERY much, my mind was made up 2 days after it came out not to upgrade. I was deeply disappointed in Canon on both the 6dmii and 5dmiv Nikon really owned them again. But, we still have the glass choices so I'll wait for the next upgrade. (Not investing in another system) thanks again for your time. Kudos to the cat for the impromptu appearance. Funny kitty.
The D850 was a way better Update than the 5DM4 Canon can do better than the 6D2 Update too, IDK I have shot Canon since like 1970's TOTALLY a Canon fan. I just think they are relaxing too much especially in the Mirrorless and 4K video depts. Neither which I use a ton of so it doesn't really concern me. But if I upgrade I want more gain to upgrade. I think on point reviews like this will get them on point. They can do better.
The less Canon invests in a camera line I will never use is better for me. I will never buy mirrorless, or a $3,000+ camera body, and Canon has some nice mirrorless ones just to keep their market alive. I love my 6D Mk II! I could have had a V8!
I finally went on and bought it, over the original 6D and over the 5D3. I wanted a FF camera, to get access to weather sealed lenses and L quality (or third party glass like Tamron/Sigma) for landscape and wildlife. I know it's note the most suited camera for wildlife, but in the future I'll be pairing it with a 7D2 or an 80D. I waited for the price to come down (it was overpriced at 2K, but I got it new imported for 1070€) and I think at this price point there is no better option, since I already owned EF lenses and being interested in stills. I'll probably like it, cause it almost ticks all the improvements I needed coming from an old 50D, but if the image quality isn't at the level that I need it to be, I can always sell it and get back almost the price I payed for it (used 6D original sell for about 800€). Of course I would have liked a 5D4 more, but the price difference is just not worth it for my needs, since I'm just an amateur...
Easiest subscribe button to push ever! Very in-depth and thoughtful review I have encountered since my several hour youtube reconasaince on this camera. A little too little too late, I was unaware that in addition to the lower bitrates, the videos were in Mp4 format now and my order is already in... Man, what gives? There must be some really strong personalities on their development team because these seem like bad compromises all around. The color science what keeps bringing me back. Great review Dustin, looking forward to learning more from you.
Thanks Dustin, I'm so happy I waited instead of taking the plunge and pre-ordering one. I'm keeping my 6D in the time being. Its still a great camera and is very complimentary together with my 80d
If you use the 1.4x v III and a 100-400mm vII, the 6D Mk II and the 80D both focus with that combination. My 6D does not. That is my tool of choice, the 80D and the 6D Mk II.
Nunya it was a combination I used to use with the 80D until I realized the image quality was actually better by cropping the photo taken without the TC. I think results might be better on a full frame though. I also found AF too sluggish and f8 is too slow for most situations round here.
Dustin Abbott B&H was having a two day sale. It was all brand new as well. The printer on its own runs for 400 dollars. I have no room to complain about the camera with the deal I got.
I was already thinking about purchasing the original 6D when I saw this sale too. I tossed & turned for a week before I bought the same package. I'm fairly certain all the bad reviews would have had a slightly different outcome considering the 6Dii for effectively
I recently bought one used but in perfect shape for 1300$ as well but it was equipped with a 24-105 mark 2 lens, an amazing battery, a 64gb memory card and a small bag. While I do think that it was originally overpriced, it has now become much more accessible for people who just want access to a full frame type of image.
Thanks for review. I am going to check it out myself because my 5D Mark IV with all my lenses are too heavy to lug around for landscape use. The dynamic range can be corrected in post processing and great results can be obtained.
So I upgraded to the 6D Mark II. Let me start off by saying that it's a great camera, I love it, but for all intensive purposes, I'm not in love with it. Everything you mentioned is spot on. This camera could have been the camera that set the new bar in full frame photography. I think Canon made huge mistakes with this camera. No 4K video, no dual card slots, no headphone jack (But who cares because I won't use the video with this camera), too tight of autofocus points (One of the worst features they could have messed up), and a limited Dynamic Range (Not as bad as everyone claims it is). If Canon had got everything they put into this camera right, this would have been one of the best cameras on the market. I think this a great camera, but it's also a camera that frustrates me from time to time. Knowing that there are older cameras that do individual features better, is not something to be proud of. Good review Dustin!
They say that the dynamic range is better at 320 ISO and higher. - Jared Polin vid: The Canon 6D Mark II Has TERRIBLE "Dynamic Range" // ruclips.net/video/1Po4Ct8B2Oo/видео.html
The problem with the 6D Mark II is that photographers are wanting to use this camera for a purpose it was intended for. It is intended for an amateur photographer needing to upgrade to a stripped down general purpose full frame and can live the inferior video because it’s not something they really need. It does as you pointed out have low light focus issues that makes moving wildlife photography in early morning sometimes difficult to capture. For those with dreams of someday transitioning in professional photography this is definitely not the camera for you. Go with the 5D, Mark IV or better.
Hi Jim, what you are saying is true on many levels, but my job is to compare cameras to their competitors on the market, not apologize for their shortcomings.
I am so glad I decided for 5dm4. My deep research was so worth it. This camera is for mostly jpeg shooters who have no idea what shadows are. It is a good camera for people with apsc who are entering world of full frame.
Dustin I just subscribed to your channel and your reviews are just awesome. Right now I'm just getting started in photography with a Canon77d. Going forward any purchases, bodies, lenses, etc... I'll make sure to click your links so you can get a few bucks. At some point I will upgrade to a full frame camera but not until Canon gets their act together with 4k. Your dead on right when you said the competitors are offering better video capabilities at the same price point. Thanks for all the great unbiased information.
I call things as I see them. I don't say something just because everyone else or the hype says it, but in this case I felt some strong criticisms were justified.
I had a or still have a canon 5D mk2 tjat i bought in 09. I was hasitating wether I should replace it with a 6D mk2. I watched a lot of the reviews and finally came to a conclusion that it bypasses the 5D mk2in every respect. Luckily I managed to lay hands on a nearly new mint condition for only 750€. Thanks for pointing up all to shortcomings, you're half way through if you are aware of the problems. After I tried this camera I reached the conclusion that in spite the cons it's a real good tool to work with. This review was indeed very balanced.
Unfortunately, none of us are engineers who have the knowledge to add/subtract features from camera models to be in the position to be able to tell how much they can push the envelope to satisfy everyone with a new camera body. When the list of additions over the 6D have been made, it is hard to deny that this camera is a very full featured model over it's predecessor. I have not picked up my 6D since I purchased this camera, and am still excited to take it with me on outings. I'm not trying to discredit your knowledge of what's going on in the camera development arena, I'm just giving a fact check as to what can and can't be done to improve a camera body. The reviewers of camera releases are hard pressed to second guess what the engineers are capable of doing to improve these camera bodies. The proof is in the pudding, and that's going to be hard to deny when you consider how stunning the results are from this camera. Specifications are all but useless when you consider how easy it is to pick up this camera and shoot these magnificent captures. The constant negativity on the reviews to this camera by a majority of reviewers were simply overdone and now held to a scrutiny that embarrasses a lot of those reviewers that just wrote off this camera into the dustbin. I feel like Mr Abbott did one of the most fair, and honest review of anyone I have seen. I have stopped watching some reviewers, and to be fair, I'm not going to name drop here. However, the way some of these guys just railed on how bad they thought this camera was upon release, just lead me to believe that they aren't as knowledgeable and fair as Mr Abbott is with this release.
Great and honest review (as usual). I'll stick to my 80D, which I love. Canon still has yet to convince me to upgrade to FF from my 80D. I'm not a pro photographer but would actually consider buying the 5D Mark IV if it had an articulating screen! As it now stands with Canon, if my 80D stops working it'll be replaced with another 80D. By the way, when's your catfood review video going to air?! LOL
If you use a 5D4 for a day i'm sure you would forget about the tilt screen missing, it's in a much different league to other Canon bodies. i own the 80D,1DXmk2 and 5D4 and the 5D4 is the one that stands out.
Thanks MrKdr500, I actually believe you and trust your opinion. I do a lot of low to the ground macro shooting and the tilt screen sure does come in handy. I do know though if I use a 5D4 for a little while I would have to buy one and dumping 3500.00 bucks on a camera right now would hurt!!!! (hurt so good though!).... ;)
Jim Durfee I feel the same about the tilt screen. I also have the 80D. I wanted to give full frame a go so I got hold of a mint condition used 6D for 800€, it is still an excellent camera despite it's age and I'm actually using it more than my 80D now. The 80D is still preferred for my wildlife shots though. I was lent a 5d4 last weekend. Its excellent but I didn't find the image quality that much better than the 6D especially at high iso. The autofocus is far ahead of course, as is base Iso dynamic range and also the ability to crop whilst maintaining plenty of detail. But I didn't feel the need to go out and spend nearly 4000€
Yes Justin, Canon needs to step up their Full Frame game for the money their charging for lagging technology compared to their competition. I love Canon and I would love a Canon FF body with a tilt screen. The 6D2 is tempting with its tilt screen but I can't justify even buying that due to the negative reviews. I'll just continue to enjoy my 80D for now.....besides, many of the images I get with this 80D look better than many images by full frame shooters! ;)
Dustin, in your honest opinion, do you think the 6D2 is a better camera than the 80D for taking photos? (I seldom ever need to shoot higher than a 640 ISO with the glass I have and the types of photos I take with my 80D) I trust your opinion and am really on the fence about buying the 6D2. I want a full frame and I really would like the 5D4 but don't have the funds to make such a purchase.....
If you could choose between 80D and 6D Mark ii for better results and not taking the full frame vs APS-C discussion into account, which one would you go for?
I'm not sure there is a major difference, actually. They have similar levels of dynamic range and the ISO performance (though it favors the 6DII) isn't radically different. If you want to shoot any action, go with the 80D. It has a higher burst rate and a better distribution of AF points.
I enjoyed your review. I thought it was fair and not so over dramatic as some reviews of this camera have been. I have this camera. So far, i have not been all that disappointed with it. Then again, I don't expect the camera to do everything as some users do. Some of the complaints with the 6dii, IMO, are the result of all cameras now being expected to function as both still cameras and video cameras. I think this effects the performance of many cameras. Manufacturers must decide what to include or exclude. I would rather see still cameras that have great performance than those which are compromised for stills or video due to trying to hit a price point and a dual function.
Terrific job Dustin... Thank you for the straight up... "hit all the points" type of review -- 100% agree especially where you said ... THIS release COULD or SHOULD have been a BETTER one. Being an invested Canon shooter (a 6D shooter of 4 years who's waited for this like everyone else has for 2 years)... the crowded AF points and DR performance were a real disappointment. I rented a 6D2 and although loved all of the new physical features (touch screen, 6.5 fps, DPAF, (flip thing I could take or leave)) ...was not concerned over video since I never use it...my own side by side comparison of images taken at ISO320 and below - the 6D was cleaner when recovering shadows. I even emailed Canon Consumer Relations asking WHY? ... I only got back standard "company line" responses - that they are aware of the negative reviews from INITIAL "lab tests" but need to let it get in the hands of real shooters. Well... you've done that as have many and honestly I wish there was some way to get Canon's attention on this... especially with Nikon's latest D850 release which by all measures is their "pull out all stops" effort to counter Canon. Any suggestions of how to get Canon's attention? They claim to follow the social media chatter on their products...
Great review Dustin. Had been looking forward to getting this, but the sensor is really disappointing. So given the shadow recovery issues, do we now have to expose for the shakedowns and not highlights like we've been doing in other digital cameras
hi Dustin, thanks for your valuable work. just a quick question: the first 6d was affected by a tendency to underexpose pictures, did you noticed same behaviour on the 6d mk II?
First of all, I owned two 6Ds and used them for 4 and 5 years, respectively, and didn't notice an underexposure bias. I didn't notice one with the 6DII, either.
Hi Dustin, I have been going back in forth on this camera for a good video/photo hybrid camera. I love the DPAF and the articulating screen. I currently own a T6i. Would you recommend updating to the 6DMKII or should I wait to see if Canon actually comes out with a pro mirrorless body later this year? Thanks, Tom
Tom, it's hard to predict the future, but it would seem that Canon will have to make a full frame mirrorless in the near future just to combat Sony's influence. Prices are often excellent on the 6DII, however, and I suspect that when Canon comes to market with a full frame mirrorless it may be pricey.
As a primary body I own 5Diii and as a secondary body it's 7Dii. I am planning to upgrade my secondary body one day. 6Dii seems amazing but as a part time wedding hotographer I definitely miss the dual card mechanism. Once I experienced a card failure myself years ago on my 60D with only one SD card - fortunately I only photographed a landscape in my free time. Maybe I should be saving my money and go for 5Div.... But that's twice as expensive
Your review is really like i feel about the 6d2, i tried it last week and i did not like they moved the AF-on button i was pressing a lot af times also the live view button. I will stay on my 6D until it dies and then i will switch to the 5d4 or a 5Ds R mark II (if it is out then ;-) however i also got an 1d4 and i love that camera too. SO i think i will enjoy my 6D for a while. However it is not al bad...
One of the better reviews I have watched. I am in the debate mode myself. Coming from a 7D and & 7DII. Great cameras they are, but ready to make the jump to FF. I just feel like if I buy this, it's like buying the EOS Rebel all over again from Best Buy when I started really getting into Photography :) I have now considered the 5DIV. It has damn near the same body as the 7DII, as in toggle placement etc which will come in handy for knowing where all my buttons are at etc. I am still not fully convinced on anything yet. But once again, Great Camera review.
If you already own the 6D mkii would you sell it an upgrade to the 5d mk iv? Ergonomically, I think the 5d mk iv might be better enough to justify the upgrade. General thoughts?
Hard for me to say, as I bought the 5D Mark IV when it came out, and the quality of that camera probably increased some of my disappointments with the 6DII
Hi Dustin, i have a Canon 700d, and i'm going to upgrade to FF soon. I'm really undecided between the old 6D and the new 6D2. What do you think about? Thank you.
I have a 5D2 and 6D. I shoot weddings and portraits. Would this be a good second camera and the 6D use for backup or should I just keep it at the two current cameras?
So overall, is the dynamic range and ISO performance better than the original 6D? You have compared it to only 5D mark IV and 80D, so was wondering how does it compares to the original 6D.
Excellent video Dustin. I'm a big fan of your critiques. I have a Canon 70D and still learning the craft. I've started to invest in flashes, transmitter, tripod, glass etc. My priority is learning. Not chasing latest and greatest. My next foray into FF will be the 5D Mark IV but I do really love the tilty flippy!!
Great review as usual Dustin. Thank you for that. Although I'm still confused between Nikon d750 and the 6d mk ii. I rarely take videos so 4k is not really important for me. Which one would you suggest? The D750 or the Canon. Thank you
Dustin Abbott ok sure. I saw your pictures in the video which were really beautiful. So would you recommend 6d mk ii for serious landscape photography.? I am already an apsc canon user so really don't want to switch to nikon. Please help.
Thanks ever so much for the review Dustin. I have ordered the Canon 6D Mark II, following reviews from a lot of different directions, as well as the sensor rating from DXOMARK. I think I will sell my Canon 5D Mark III now, as I do also have the 6D original. May I ask you: the articulated screen appeals to me and I don't care about video, so bar the marginal setback of DR at very low ISOs, does the 6D Mark II (in your opinion) produce an image quality that won't feel a step backwards compared with the 6D? I never have to bring back details from shadows for more than 1 or 1.5 stops, as I know how to properly expose my photos. If one loves the photos of their 6D, will they be disappointed with the 6D Mark II or are they going to be equally happy? Cheers, Michael
I don't think the image quality is a setback from the 6D at all. It just doesn't raise the bar much. I think you will enjoy the camera, particularly if video isn't on your radar.
Dustin, a very good, thorough review as usual. I am glad I decided not to wait for the 6DII and bought the 5D4 last December. Other than the battery life, I really love the 5D4. I have been tempted to replace my back-up 6D with a 6DII, but this video and others have convinced me just to keep my 6D. The camera is not enough to justify the upgrade at this point. You do have to wonder about Canon's thinking at this point. Given the quality of the 5D4 and 80D sensors, they were certainly capable of making a better sensor that they did for the 6D2. Was just about making sure that working pros would not be tempted to buy the 6D2 instead of the 5D4 or does it signal an inability to make a quality FF sensor as this price point?
My question is, if you were to be upgrading from a 70d to full frame, and you need it for both video and still shots, and your price range tops out at around the price of the 6d mk ii, what would you go for? (used being an option as well)
I think the 6D Mark II is a solid upgrade from your 70D at the current price tag. I stand by my criticisms, but that's still a lot of camera at that price.
Such a honest review,i just needed this one! well, there is a post at the canonwatch regarding the 6dmk2,that a firmware update can resolve its dynamic range issues and other issues,Do you think that it can fix the problems?
Hi, Dustin, thanks for your review. I currently use an old Nikon D90 and want to upgrade to a full frame camera for better performance in low light and depth of field. I don't like Nikon colors very much, especially with skin tones even when I'm working with the raw-files. So I thought moving away from Nikon. Could you recommend the Canon 6D Mark II in this case? Or would you recommend something different maybe Sony a7ii in the price range of the Canon? Thanks!
Hi Dustin. Great review as always. Your’s is one of the most valuable voices in the photography community on RUclips! If only I knew what I would need to do to make you switch with me to the Fuji X system! But then again, I expect that Canon will remain very relevant.perhaps we will see some major advances by Canon starting with the 7Diii next year. My hope would be that they will move to a hybrid viewfinder. Greetings, Dirk
For very good reasons! I’ll surely miss the superb full frame sensor of the 5Div and those amazing Tamron primes! And once there is a Canon mirrorless full-frame with EF mount, I can see myself coming back.
Dustin, thanks for your thoughts, may I ask your advice, I am thinking of upgrading from the 70D, I would like your thoughts on if the 6D mk 2 is as good at tracking as my 70D? I would be using it with the 100-400 is usm 2 and later adding the mk 3 extender, should I go for it? I don’t want the 7D mk 2 or probably the mk 3 as they are quite heavy and I am so used to where all the buttons are. Hope my comment isn’t too late for an answer.
NEW SUB THANKS!!!! It’s April 2021 and I just added a 6Dii to my 70D. I’m looking forward to exciting and interesting times with it. Your videos will be a great help 👍👍👍
More like what's going on with the sun. Partly cloudy day with a constant shutter speed. That's the downside of needing to be both in front of the camera and behind it!
The camera setting should have been changed. I agree. In my defense, however, the lighting was consistent when I started and began to change while I was into it.
Nice review. In think that the limitations of the sensor of the 6d mark II are mainly due to the manufacturing cost. Higher number of pixels and faster shooting speed requires a more complex circuitry to perform the a/d conversion, and to extract the sensor data quickly, and this could introduce more noise, at least that the sensor technology is improved in some way. This was the main reason, in my opinion (together with a slight difference in the pixel pitch, larger on the 6d), for which the sensor performance of the 5d mark III was worse than the 6d. On the 6d mark II there is an improvement over the 5d mark III, so the sensor technology is probably better, but not as good as the one used on the 5d mark IV. Again, I suspect that the cost is the main reason. On the aps-c sensors is different, since they are much smaller, and the manufacturing cost is only a fraction of the full-frame ones. However, some limitations on the 6d mark II are mainly software. The movie options are comparable with the ones of the eos m series (which, again, are very limited for marketing choices: an m5/m6 could have the same movie options of an 80d): the only hope is that Canon would solve the problem with a firmware update. The original 6d has not only the ALL-I compression option, but also many settings concerning the timecode, which are missing on the 6d mark II. In every case, I hope that concerning the movie quality there are less aliasing artifacts, compared to the original 6d. Indeed, now, at least at low iso, even an 80d has a better movie quality than a 6d, in terms of sharpness/aliasing.
I noticed that concerning the video performance (full-hd), the sharpness of the 6d mark II is similar to the one of 6d, but it seems to me that there is (slightly) less aliasing/moire. Did you have the same impression? However, I was expecting more in term of video details/sharpness.
Did it ever occur to anyone that Canon had experimented with all kinds of available sensors put in the prototypes, and settled on this one, as it just made the most sense all the way around? If there were benefits to a different sensor in this iteration, of the prototype, they most assuredly would have used that one. It seems to me that they did the best they could with what they had to work with. Just a thought.
I shoot stills only, I currently own a 70D. I've been really wanting to go full frame, do you think this 6d mk 2 is a good idea? I don't really edit my photo's too much, I can see the DR is almost identical to my current 70D, is it really that big of a deal? Worried that if I do get into editing more that ill be disappointed later on. Baring in mind I'm just an enthusiastic amateur.
Yes. Yes. No. It's also better in every other way, from the focus system to the resolution to frames per second and buffer to video to dynamic range, etc... I'm afraid you don't know what you are talking about.
I'm personally a full frame guy (I own a couple of APS-C bodies, but those are more for testing). I like the 6DII fairly well, though I like the EOS RP better.
You get the point. It is not like it's a bad camera, it just could have been so much better. And I would accept reasonable cost-down nerfs, but some of the crippling canon have done on the camera is just way too much, even where cost is not likely the issue. That makes me feel like I've had enough of the company in general.
If Canon were to put ALL-I video back into the 6D series with a firmware update, I'd pick it up. There's no reason why it shouldn't have a higher bitrate recording if the 70D, 80D, along with many older and cheaper cameras from Canon do. I'm fine with delivering in 1080p or upscaling to 4k for client work, my channel has some examples of that. However, high bitrates are crucial for separating a good camera from a potato camera. Being that they took ALL-I out of the 77D, I'm worried that Canon is phasing it out of the low to mid level DSLRs entirely. What do you think?
Would this be a decent upgrade from a 5D mark iii , I have had the 5D mark iii since it came out , love the camera but recently started to try and use it film some of my kids soccer games and realized that the AF sucks in video never really used it much before... so have been looking for an upgrade with better video focusing and GPS/Wifi with similar pictures quality to what I have
Dustin Abbott thanks for the reply, yeah just not looking for a downgrade on pictures. I know the real upgrade for the would be the mark IV but for the price point of the 6d mark ii seems like a decent choice
Many thanks for the great review, Dustin! Any idea why the 5D IV consumes more power than the 6D II? I think the screen is a little bit larger (3,2 inch vs. 3 inch), but I doubt that's the only reason...
I had bought first a used 6D, but it came front focusing by a great margin, there was something wrong with that camera, probably why they sold me quite cheap. Then I went for a new MkII. I would probably get more from my money's worth if that 6D came in working flawlessly, but I was a little shook, so I bought the MkII.
Hi Dustin, I am an avid follower of your channel. I have an 80d and was hoping to upgrade to this camera. Now that it had been released, I am unsure what to do. Would it be worth it to upgrade?
It is still a nice upgrade path from an 80D. You get the improved full frame performance, and the feature set will feel familiar. It's a good camera; I just felt it could have been better.
Been researching and waiting for reviews on this..during the summer it was $1,999. Now (11/21) it is $1,699... that's a good drop for a new Canon camera. I guess Canon heard it's customers disappointments and complaints?
The original price was way too high for what it offered, but now it's much better at bh or at the canon store; and while I would not shoot an important event such as a wedding with it or at least use it only as a 2nd/candid/backup cam for pretty much everything else photo it does the job.
That's true. If it had been that price at review, I would have treated it differently in the review. It's not really competitive with the a7III at equal (or close) pricing, but at nearly a thousand less, it's a whole different sotry.
Thank you for great review! But you were not fully correct about the video files, which are produced by this camera. First - MP4 is a container, which may store basically any video stream. It's not related to the quality of the video. Second, IPB is a kind of used frame types. It also doesn't define the quality by itself. And third - the video bitrate is what defines the quality (of course, in connection to the used codec), but you didn't mention it, as far as I see. It looks like the 6Dii simply has not enough video bitrate, doesn't it?
I think you've missed my point. Yes, MP4 is a container, but on Canon cameras there has traditionally been a breakdown between IPB (high compression, lower bitrate) and All-I (lower compression, higher bitrate, better quality) in a .MOV container. This camera lacks the All-i options that are better for editing. Traditionally MP4 is not a great container for editing, either.
@@DustinAbbottTWI Well, for those who don't have past experience with Canon DSLRs, there's little point in comparing the mp4 container to ALL-I method of frame calculation. These are simlply unrelated things for those who aren't deep into Canon. In theory there may be 100 Mbps H.265 inside the mp4 container, so its quality will be unbeatable by this moment. Even the infamuous MJPEG 4K from 5D4 will have worse quality, I suspect. Strictly speaking, All-I is simply less effective than IPB at similar codec type and bitrate, for all I know. The problem is that in Canon implementation the IPB has low bitrate.
Now i finally understand why i have not been getting sharp images and low res. I'm not professional so for a long time i was confused thinking my pictures looked to have some noise even with low ISO. I thought i was upgrading but for me and the kind of photography i do (fashion) is seems to be the wrong choice :(
So is "Wayne Maurice Smith's" comment history. It is virtually non existent. I have noticed that there are hundreds, if not thousands of "one liner" negative comments about this particular camera body. Right from the release of this camera, there was an attack on it's virtues, based on posters who had questionable histories and dubious validity.
Nikon D750 cost less, so my question is: If one wants to jump to full frame camera, and since my lenses are crop sensors and I do want to get full frame pro lenses as well, so either Canon or NIkon would work for me because I will buy lenses, which one would be a better option?
Thank you for what seems to be a fair review. I need some help though. I'm looking to upgrade from a T4i and am curious if at the current $1300 price for body only, is this a reasonably smart upgrade. I have 2 EF lenses in addition to an EF-S lens that is not compatible. I really want a FF camera but don't have the resources for a pro camera.
Hi Dustin, thanks again for your great review. I'm thinking about getting myself a full-frame camera and since I don't have a lot of money to spare, I'm really not sure, whether to just go for the 6D while saving up for a 5DIV or if I should go for the 6DII after all. After watching your video, I'm not entirely sure that the 6DII is worth the extra money. but then again, there are some features like the touch screen and the new AF system that I would probably enjoy. I would be happy if you would state your opinion on this. As always, I really value your opinion when buying new gear. Thanks so much! :)
Thanks so much for the answer. We don't have black friday here in Germany, so I didn't get a good deal an the camera. Would you recommend the 6DII over the 5DIII? I re-read you blog post on why you chose the original 6D over the 5DIII and I'd like to know if in your opinion the same applies to the 6DII!
I hope you can answer this!So im jumping to full frame, im not sure what to get,i can afford the 5d mk3 but i want a newer camera that i can resell easy..so i dont know what to do..if get the 6d mark2.. a 5d mark 3 or just a 6d mk1 :(
Granted. The video exposure was a bit over. So get over it. Sht happens. The content however, was exceptional. Probably the most balanced, fair, unbiased, complete review I've seen of the Canon EOS 6D Mark II. Thank you Dustin.
Thanks for the feedback.
Agreed
ikr, i was about to say XD
I replaced my 6D with the Mark II and have no regrets.
I shoot stills almost exclusively.
I did notice a slight reduction in Dynamic Range but I had to look hard to see it. The camera's other features make it a very worthy upgrade IF you are already invested in Canon glass.
I do think it's over priced at $2K but mine only cost me $800 after selling my 6D (and a 3rd party Battery Grip).
That's a good way of looking at it.
That is a good deal! I could not get that for my 6D
Dustin Abbott I'm thinking of upgrading from my T6i would you really recommend this for someone who does not do this professionally?
Yes! This is an excellent camera!
B. Christine I recently upgraded from a T6s to the 6D Mark II and I really like it. I got mine new from EBay at $1,350 body only.
I think BG has it right. Nikon needs a home run more desperately than Canon at the moment.
Canon's ergonomics are excellent.
Thumb up for the cat :D
Yep, he managed to find me even though I was out in the woods.
just one thumb?
Is it good enough? Not at $2000. At $1175 is it good enough? I think so and ordered one.
Some of your sample images are 👍 and I’d be happy with them. I love shadow detail so I may need to expose for that making sure not to blow out the highlights.
That’s a lot of camera for under $1200!!!
Where did you get that ?
eBay Redtag Camera with over 54000 positive reviews .
How to scerch?
Prices have increased $100
I hope that ML hacks the 6D2 as well soon :).
i just bought this camera yesterday and i'm excited to go out and use it. its so good and clear.
Enjoy!
How is ur experience n which lens u r using. I am planning to buy this one.
Thumbs up!
My pleasure. I’m glad you are happy with it.
I don't own stock in any of these companies. I try to be as objective as possible (understanding that we all have our own subtle biases).
For example, I just love the 100mm f/2.8L Macro
I've been tempted myself to switch to Nikon (I've used their amazing film cameras), Sony, Fuji or even Pentax and in my country Canon has a huge-ass presence, customer service is nice, you can find spare parts and everything; Sony is fine I guess but not in terms of customer service and Fuji... I can't find them, and when I do the price of an XT-1 is almost double it's retail price. Pentax is out of the question, I haven't seen any around.
So the 6D Mk II with all its "cons" is still a perfectly capable camera.
That's true, and I think you will definitely see a huge improvement coming from the 60D all around.
Ordered this camera after using my 60d for over 6 years
Hi Dustin,
First of all thank you for the review which put it's brick in my decision as a recent canon 6d mark II owner.
At current prices the 6DII is much more appealing.
Having been a 6D user it saddens me to see such great camera drop from its place on its second edition. I ended up buying the 5D iv and I am very happy with its functions and dynamic range. Awesome camera that will effectively serve me for the next 4 years. Thanks Abbott for the excellent review.
I did the same thing
I´m glad I didn´t went for this model. I went from the 6d to the 5ds and the results are just stunning.
I'm glad you are enjoying the lens.
What do you like about the 5DS?
Just to say a few things, I love the AF system, the unreal image/detail quality, the dedicated multi-controller joystick and also the build quality. Also like features as the delay after pressing the shutter to avoid motion blur.
Well, you know, a cat never talks but to me they have an amazing intelligence. He just came to comfort you about the essential short comings of this camera...:) And that was so sweet!
LOL - good one, Leo
No reaction when that cat came to say "Hello" at 16:10? You're too professional :)
Nice video.
LOL. It's always a hard call to know what to do!
I've never used the NX1, but heard some good things about it.
I don't agree on the 5D Mark IV, and I doubt that Nikon is owning Canon anywhere at least in terms of sales, but your point is well taken.
It sounds like a fine upgrade path for you.
I don't understand the codec decision at all, as the camera has a lot of potential for video even capped at 1080
Thanks Dustin, I'm so happy I waited instead of taking the plunge and pre-ordering one. I'm keeping my 6D in the time being. Its still a great camera and is very complimentary together with my 80d
All very true.
I got this camera, plus the battery grip, two batteries, memory card, and a printer all for 1350. I can’t complain :)
That is a stunningly good price. I've never seen such discounts so early in a cycle for a camera.
Barry Orr I agree! I’ve had it for a few weeks so far and I love it. No major complaints.
It's definitely worth a look.
Great Review, thanks! You get down really to the core of things that other reviews don't dive into.
Thanks...and my pleasure.
Thanks for the feedback.
That's a bit of an exaggeration, but since I do own a 5D Mark IV and love it, I do agree with your buying choice :)
Hi Dustin. Which is better in hight ISO 5d mkiv or 6d2 in your opionion
Definitely the Mark IV.
Dustin
I just subscribed to your channel and your reviews are just awesome.
Thanks for the support. Appreciated!
Respect! I would have never thought you would criticize Canon's tendency to cripple everything.
I call things as I see them. I don't say something just because everyone else or the hype says it, but in this case I felt some strong criticisms were justified.
"Laurent L" is just another poster (bot?) who has no comment history. A lot of those have cropped up on the reviews of this camera. Go figure. :)
My very first DSLR was an 80D thanks to you.
My second is a 6D Mk2.
Thank you again.
👍🏻
My pleasure.
That's great to hear, and I'm glad it helped.
Whenever I really need a valid opinion, I come back to your channel - thank you!
That's very kind. Thank you!
Great review, it felt quite negative in a nice way, but I still bought one, I don’t do video, I’ve upgraded from 7d mk2 and love my new camera.
It's a good camera when standing on its own. When compared to the market, however, there are some areas where Canon could have done better.
LOL
No kidding. It seems like they hear my voice and start showing up!
The short answer is yes. APS-C has its place, but for straight up image quality the only way to top full frame, is, well, going medium format.
Thanks...
Excellent review. I appreciate the time you have put in to producing this video. Thank you.
You're welcome
Excellent review. Thanks for taking the time. Will you be reviewing the SL2?
I'll probably shoot my final review today.
Dustin Abbott excellent! 👍
@@DustinAbbottTWI i most do portraiture and I'm not into wildlife or action. At this point I'm better off with 6D Mark ii, aren't i?
Great review Dustin. Do you think that the Canon 80D produces better video quality than the Canon 6D Mark II?
I don’t really know that. It possibly might have a little better dynamic range (80D)
That's fair.
I suspect that reviews like this one do get some attention.
Thanks but I wish I had an email address to a Canon name (not a general inbox) to email this video to.
Great review Dustin. Had been looking forward to getting this, but the sensor is really disappointing. So given the shadow recovery issues, do we now have to expose for the shakedowns and not highlights like we've been doing in other digital cameras
I would say that striving for a neutral exposure is probably the best bet.
hi Dustin, thanks for your valuable work. just a quick question: the first 6d was affected by a tendency to underexpose pictures, did you noticed same behaviour on the 6d mk II?
First of all, I owned two 6Ds and used them for 4 and 5 years, respectively, and didn't notice an underexposure bias. I didn't notice one with the 6DII, either.
Hi Dustin,
I have been going back in forth on this camera for a good video/photo hybrid camera. I love the DPAF and the articulating screen. I currently own a T6i. Would you recommend updating to the 6DMKII or should I wait to see if Canon actually comes out with a pro mirrorless body later this year?
Thanks,
Tom
The new EOS R might be a good option for you, though it too only has one card slot.
Hello and Happy New Year. Do you have any videos on the Canon 7D Mark II?
I don't, actually. I never reviewed it.
My pleasure. If you can get a good price on the 5DIV, go for it. I think it is Canon's best camera.
great review I love my 6d mark ii. buy it or rent it to know exactly how it works for yourself.
Right. Actually use it before you criticize (or praise) it.
Thank you.
If budget isn't a huge issue, I'd go for the newer camera. There's a ton of great new features since the 6D that make it a more complete camera.
Another fantastic and comprehensive review, Dustin. Thanks.
Thank you very much
Excellent sum up.
Always enjoy your take on gear.
Thanks
+Photo Mike Thanks, Mike
I have a 5D2 and 6D. I shoot weddings and portraits. Would this be a good second camera and the 6D use for backup or should I just keep it at the two current cameras?
This is probably an upgrade on your 5D2 in terms of autofocus and features, for sure.
Hi Dear, Canon 6d mark ii How many mm Using a lens will make the picture better?
So overall, is the dynamic range and ISO performance better than the original 6D? You have compared it to only 5D mark IV and 80D, so was wondering how does it compares to the original 6D.
I do have an original 6D, so I have a lot of familiarity with it. The answer is that there are some gains on both fronts, but they are marginal.
Just an amazing camera for events
Better than 5dm3 and very close to 5dm4 ( even some times better)
I'm glad you are enjoying it.
Thanks for the feedback. I too would love to add the articulating screen to the 5D Mark IV and call it a day.
x 1,000!
Great review as usual Dustin.
Thank you for that.
Although I'm still confused between Nikon d750 and the 6d mk ii. I rarely take videos so 4k is not really important for me.
Which one would you suggest?
The D750 or the Canon.
Thank you
I can't really give you that answer, as I don't shoot Nikon and thus am not familiar with the D750
Dustin Abbott ok sure. I saw your pictures in the video which were really beautiful.
So would you recommend 6d mk ii for serious landscape photography.?
I am already an apsc canon user so really don't want to switch to nikon.
Please help.
I think it will work just fine for landscape photography. It's a beautiful camera to use in the real world.
Dustin Abbott Thank you so much Dustin.
Cheers
Thanks Dustin! It is an immense pleasure following you and listening to your objective and unbiased verdicts.
I'm a little perplexed, myself.
Great Review and very informational!! I was also waiting for Big Foot to walk-by :P
LOL. That might have gone viral...
I would be very surprised if a firmware fix could solve those things. That is part of the architecture of the sensor.
Thanks!
I think it will be a nice upgrade considering where you are coming from if you specifically do want to switch to Canon
Video I've seen from it looks really good, what issue do you have other than resolution?
I just see a lot better footage out of almost all the other cameras I have in my kit.
I'm afraid I'm pretty invested in Canon!
The tracking in the 6d Mark II should be better - it's a newer focus system along with a more robust processor.
I do sports and have Canon 50D and I was thinking about buying the Canon 6D Mark II. What do you think?
That should be a pretty solid upgrade for you in every way.
Dustin Abbott Ok thanks think I will get one
NEW SUB THANKS!!!!
It’s April 2021 and I just added a 6Dii to my 70D. I’m looking forward to exciting and interesting times with it. Your videos will be a great help 👍👍👍
Enjoy...and thanks for the subscribe!!
got it in 2020, GREAT device!!! for 1400 eur - best u can find (for photo 100%)
Enjoy!
Need support . Shall I go for 6d mark ii vs 5d mark iii.
Thank you
I would personally choose the 6DII over the 5DIII.
6d mark ii..
Nice review!
is it true that Canon is working on a firmware update for Canon 6D2 to fix the IQ and DR issues?
Thanks
I'm not aware of that.
You're right. It has no "issues". :)
Is this one a better upgrade from my old 60D?
Either it or the Canon EOS RP are good options. I like the RP a bit better as a complete package myself because it is has better AF.
whats going on with exposure on your video?
More like what's going on with the sun. Partly cloudy day with a constant shutter speed. That's the downside of needing to be both in front of the camera and behind it!
ok, but you can always stop shooting and move to a well lighted spot or change your camera setting
I mean, his audio and presentation was still spot on as usual, so does it really matter? :P
The camera setting should have been changed. I agree. In my defense, however, the lighting was consistent when I started and began to change while I was into it.
thumb up for sound and all his thoughts and presentation, but considering the domain where he activate... probably is just a problem in our heads :)
Would you recommend the 6d mark ii or 5d mark iv ?
I like the 5DIV a lot better, myself
I agree on the video footage from the 80D vs 6D.
A lot of people who have bought the 6DII are very happy with it. I see no reason to think you would be otherwise.
Dustin - would you say the continuous AF for tracking a subject in video is equal or better than a A73
I would say they are probably about equal from experience with both, but haven't compared them side by side.
Does 5D mk4 has touchscreen? DP AF? Tilty swivly screen? If not, it's not better than 6d mk2.
Yes. Yes. No. It's also better in every other way, from the focus system to the resolution to frames per second and buffer to video to dynamic range, etc... I'm afraid you don't know what you are talking about.
what camera are you using at the first minutes of this video?? the footage of you is very blown out!
Sony a6500, but the settings were manual, and suddenly the lighting really changed on me
So how would you compare upgrading from a t7i to a 6d mark 2 as a new primary camera??
I'm personally a full frame guy (I own a couple of APS-C bodies, but those are more for testing). I like the 6DII fairly well, though I like the EOS RP better.
You get the point. It is not like it's a bad camera, it just could have been so much better. And I would accept reasonable cost-down nerfs, but some of the crippling canon have done on the camera is just way too much, even where cost is not likely the issue. That makes me feel like I've had enough of the company in general.
It's unfortunate if that is the end effect on you as a consumer. Probably not a wise corporate move.
That is a worrisome trend, particularly when they aren't bumping things up much on the other end in terms of other codecs
Would this be a decent upgrade from a 5D mark iii , I have had the 5D mark iii since it came out , love the camera but recently started to try and use it film some of my kids soccer games and realized that the AF sucks in video never really used it much before... so have been looking for an upgrade with better video focusing and GPS/Wifi with similar pictures quality to what I have
It will definitely be a far better focus experience in video. Stills image quality will be only a slight improvement, though.
I really don't have that answer. It seems like the 5D IV burns through batteries faster than it should.
Thanks for the answer. Keep up the great work! David
Does it have dual chips like the 1D?
I had bought first a used 6D, but it came front focusing by a great margin, there was something wrong with that camera, probably why they sold me quite cheap. Then I went for a new MkII. I would probably get more from my money's worth if that 6D came in working flawlessly, but I was a little shook, so I bought the MkII.
As long as you're happy now!
That is a lot of vitamin-D Dustin. Thank you for the in-depth review by the way.
No kidding. I may have skin cancer after this episode!
Been researching and waiting for reviews on this..during the summer it was $1,999. Now (11/21) it is $1,699... that's a good drop for a new Canon camera. I guess Canon heard it's customers disappointments and complaints?
I think so. I've never seen such deep discounts so early. At that price it is a great value.
yep agree with you.. a great value. waiting for Black Friday or possibly Xmas sales before i pull the trigger
You can get even a free battery grip until 6/1/18
Your the BEST Dustin as usual 👌🏾 all you need is syndication on a TV network.
LOL. Don't see that happening anytime soon.
Now i finally understand why i have not been getting sharp images and low res. I'm not professional so for a long time i was confused thinking my pictures looked to have some noise even with low ISO. I thought i was upgrading but for me and the kind of photography i do (fashion) is seems to be the wrong choice :(
That’s too bad
So is "Wayne Maurice Smith's" comment history. It is virtually non existent. I have noticed that there are hundreds, if not thousands of "one liner" negative comments about this particular camera body. Right from the release of this camera, there was an attack on it's virtues, based on posters who had questionable histories and dubious validity.
Nikon D750 cost less, so my question is: If one wants to jump to full frame camera, and since my lenses are crop sensors and I do want to get full frame pro lenses as well, so either Canon or NIkon would work for me because I will buy lenses, which one would be a better option?
I can't really answer that as I haven't used the D750
Very good information. Congratulations! Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
This is a whole different story at $1300. It becomes an excellent value even if it has some shortcomings compared to more expensive bodies.
Thank you! @@DustinAbbottTWI
If you are buying right now, and can get it at the amazing Black Friday prices, I think it is worth the investment.
I would definitely personally buy the 6DII over the 5DIII for a number of reasons.
I hope you can answer this!So im jumping to full frame, im not sure what to get,i can afford the 5d mk3 but i want a newer camera that i can resell easy..so i dont know what to do..if get the 6d mark2.. a 5d mark 3 or just a 6d mk1 :(
With the sales on the 6D Mark II, it’s hard to argue against it. I think it is the best camera of the options you’re considering.
