Even after enduring so much suffering, even after being turned into a cybernetic weapon used for cruel testing; He fought with every last bit of strength to destroy Rex's raydome and gave snake the opportunity to stop a nuclear catastrophe from being unleashed upon the world. Frank Yeager was a true soldier, and an unsung hero.
This was the first time I've ever cried in a videogame. This song and Sniper Wolf's speech just was too much. Little me was overwhelmed. Even today, I still feel the tears building up whenever I play this part.

Sniper Wolfs death always stuck with me. It was the first scene in the game to make me cry. Replaying this years later it hits even harder. This passed summer I lost 2 of my babies; both wolf dogs so rewatching and playing this again turned me into a complete mess. Wolf's speech plus the music and howls of the wolves broke me down hard I'm not gonna lie. Miss you Nitro and Woof.

yeah kind've of a silly comment. at the time of release these graphics were INCREDIBLE same with every single release of the metal gear mainline franchise following. This game was amazingly balanced and to only praise the soundtrack is quite ignorant.
'Metal Gear Solid' is by far the greatest game of the 90's. It's a masterpiece on every level. From the cinematic nature of it, the maturity, the goofiness, the humour, the characters, and everything else, which also includes the graphics. It made other developers take a deep look at what they were doing, and it made the gaming world realise just how shallow it was due to not tapping into potential prior to that of which Kojima and his team did. It stood alone on top of a mountain, unrivalled, due to the way it tackled such deep subject matter, using the richest of style and highest of quality. No video game will ever do what 'Metal Gear Solid' did. It was monumental.

Thank you so much for fixing this. I did often wonder why the CD version sounded different to what was heard in the game. I think even the game version is the same as the CD version so maybe there’s some algorithm within the game that pitches/slows the song down when the song plays. What percentage did you slow the speed/pitch down by? I’m thinking of using Audacity to fix my CD version.

Also Raven behaves the same way he did in the original. Only difference is that his shots don’t knock you to the ground which I think is something they should have kept in but besides that it’s all good. If you think Raven is easy to break in Twin Snakes then you should watch a speed run of MGS1. Raven is very easy to break in the original. How is Hal a moron? And as for Snake, that one scene with Baker I do think was unnecessary. But even in the original we see Snake getting angry at people. He yells at Campbell a couple times and grabs Hal by his collar twice. So he’s angry in both games.

If you think Raven is easy to break in Twin Snakes then you should watch a speed run of MGS1. Raven is very easy to break in the original.
How is Hal a moron? And as for Snake, that one scene with Baker I do think was unnecessary. But even in the original we see Snake getting angry at people. He yells at Campbell a couple times and grabs Hal by his collar twice. So he’s angry in both games.
