WHY. you can easily repair it. look at this video as example. and even with care refresh you still have to pay a payment to use it.
@@ryandoe11 I got care refresh. I think for 10% of the original price, it's worth to have some insurance for one year if I hit the wall or tree. he said that the repair score is 8 or 9. I disagree. this is more 5-6. he already broke some pieces during teardown.
Really helpful tear down of the Mavic Mini, as long as your confident with soldering and unplugging small SMT components, I'm sure it will be an easy DIY fix if something goes wrong or needs upgrading.

Thank you so much! I recovered my drowned Mavic Mini (Fresh water). It was cleaned with compressed air until all the drone is dry and afte thar it stayed 2 days in a room with air conditioner. After that I removed the shells and finish the clean with Contact Cleaner. Now its working very well.
Did any part of PC boards or IC chips were short-circuited / fried due to water entrance?

A lot of tech in a tiny place. Seems well designed, well built, well field fixable (with your excellent ongoing support for more features and fixes for existing owners, that really shows support, and that is really important).
I watched this earlier, but had to repair my Mini after a crash recently. Three of the four vibrations absorbers came loose. I removed the top cover to reinstall one of them that came loose at the top. I was able to do it, thanks to your video. It flies normally.

I'm doing this right now and I've just figured out that you wouldn't need to use force remove the top. Just get inside the battery terminal and there's a small detachment in there, you wouldn't break anything. Just the screwing part is the hard part.
Thanks for posting this. I had my first crash today and it broke the arm on the gimbal (at the top next to swivel motor). $168 for a new one at amazon so I thought I'd try crazy glue. Your video helped gaining access for the fix!

Would of been a good idea to take apart the arms cause that’s the first thing to break on the drone.

Just wondering, have you experienced breaking a Mavic Mini arm? If so, did you fix it? I think flexible arms would be less prone to breakage due to have some flex.

You managed to understand this when you wrote "techs pull apart" rather than "techs pullapart" in your description.
Nonetheless, great video! As a former phone repair person, gives me some confidence in repairing my Mavic Mini after my Care Refresh runs out in a year.

you did an awesome job sharing the drone. the wind blew a small branch toward my drone while it was in mid aid and knocked out one of the drone motor triple propeller kits off, and my drone was twirling straight for the ground and damged my drone arm connection and main body
Given how many people have broken the arms on these things (including myself) I would have thought that taken the arms apart to see how repairable and user replaceable they are would have been the number one priority but none of these tear downs seem to be doing that. Whoever does a tear down of the arms will get a lot of views

Thanks, this is extremely useful. (I crashed my Mini 2 and have to replace the bottom cover) Wish it was in 4K so you can make things out a bit more clearly.
I belive at 6:21 that's a hall effect sensor to detect the present of one of the accessory that clip to the drone. Once the prop protector is attach to the DJI, it limits flying height and range. It's detected with a sensor.
I think it's the compass.

I am in love with my FCC dji mavic mini but it takes too long to charge and the controller lasts longer yet it takes less time to charge I will really appreciate if you make a video about how to charge your battery faster and make the battery to last longer and I am subscribed.
when you removed the top shell, the compass (mini chip on the drone’s nose, in between the two rubber mounts that hold the gimbal.) did you remove it before this video? i’ve been trying to get it out, but it’s stuck in there. thanks

It would be cool to 3D print the body of the mavic mini and put it back together as a black color drone. It might be lighter too???
DJI sells a customization kit, perhaps that would allow you to simply color the body however you like. I am ordering one of those kits soon. After I receive my Mavic Mini in the mail.

Yes this drone just uses the vents in the frame to cool the electronics.
hi there. can you dismantle the circular thing on the propeller area (which rotates the blades)? one of my rear propeller stuck. i think it's because of some sand or dust.
Would I just need to remove the top shell(first 90 seconds on the video) to replace battery door ?

HI friend, where I live there are a lot of ants so one day I left my mavic mini on the table, and they got into the drone and took out blue particles as if it were detergent, I know what the glue is, there is a risk that they have damaged the plate or something like that? if i need thermal pasta is enough to buy the normal pc thermal pc pasta ?

I have been struggling with a stripped screw in the back of the casing. It is hard to reach so most normal methods don’t work. I was wondering if anyone has any advice
Can you do a video on taking apart the rotor housing? Some sand got into my mini2's rotor housing apparently, it clogs a bit when I turn the blades. I think i need to open the housing to clean out the remaining sand particles that cannot be blown out.

Use a nylon spudger instead of a screwdriver for prying connectors to avoid damage...
