"I'm not very skilled," but takes an Audi supercar apart by himself while filming it. Dude, keep at it. You're off to a great start. Just remember to lubricate those metal connections, makes it a lot easier to take them off. Keep it up! Awesome as always!
Well to be fair a car is a car and a bolt is a bolt and besides taking something apart is never the problem, putting it back together and together properly is the real challenge. I could unscrew and take apart my DSLR easily, I guarantee you that I could not put it back together properly and have it work properly if not work at all again. Considering all that stuff at the back is designed to help save your ass in that little car if you get get rear ended, I hope it's put back together properly, especially if it is sold to someone else or rented to someone else.
Hey Stradman, whenever I jack up a car I always take the wheels and put them under the car so that in the event the worse is to happen, it falls on the tires first instead of you. Hope this helps
Jack stands are mechanical, and can really only fail due to operator error.... if the contact point is appropriate and they are on hard level ground they are pretty much fail proof. I'm all for redundancy, but sliding super car tires under your car isn't a good idea considering their price. If you're that paranoid use more jack stands.... or block...
I’m going to have to admit James this was painful to watch but since I am a dedicated stradman fan I followed through. I really wish I lived closer we would of knocked that exhaust out.
H&P Customs Yes I know you meant his mechanic skills. I think he did well for not having too much experience. But I know what you mean...some parts were painful to watch, but overall I think he did very well.
At 5:00 that is a vacuum reservoir for storing vacuum for the Climate control system and the exhaust pipe valves for when there is relatively low vacuum in the engine during hard accelerations.
"storing vacuum" makes no sense, the correct scientific term is "expansion canister" to "maintain pressure". Vacuum is nothing, you can't store nothing. But I guess that people call it that way...
Great video, I love watching raw footage like this of someone working on his own car. That fact that you make mistakes or take longer to do it doesn't matter and is actually part of the charm and realism of it all.
Well done James! You have effectively saved yourself at least $250 in labor thus far. Your 12 hours of labor is about what your buddies at the shop would have gotten done in 2 hours with all the right tools. I really am glad to see you doing it yourself! That black multi ball thing you offered $20 for is a vacuum reservoir (p/n 420131541) at about $75. Congrats on your new exhaust, can't wait to hear it!!
Keep at it, you'll eventually get better at working on your car. Instead of saying "I'm bad at working on cars" just take it as a learning experience and eventually you'll get to be pretty savvy. Just a few years ago I knew nothing about cars, but now I'm rebuilding engines and doing crazy technical jobs that I would have never imagined myself doing
Little tip to loosening lug nuts: Grab a hollow pipe, the longer the better, and slide it over your wrench. The extra length makes it much easier to loosen! Great vid! Pretty cool that you are getting your hands dirty. Definitely helps you appreciate all the work that other shops do on your cars! Stay awesome.
This is probably my favorite video you have made.... I do all my own work on my cars/trucks and I know the frustration when you don’t have all the tools /muscles lol
If all you have is a ratchet wrench and socket, the top part of the jack handle works great as a breaker bar extension. Love all your videos James! Keep em' coming. Also caught the labeled baggies, I've always done that and it makes re-assembly so much easier.
+DjJokerr, instead of making your comment you could literally spend 5 seconds and click on his name and see his R8 in multiple videos before making an ass of yourself. LOL
venom5809 I'm not going to waste my time by clicking on someone's account that's a nobody. Besides I can go to my friends house, film myself with his R8, put it on youtube, and you fools would automatically think I own the car.
AYYYYYYY Also the car looks like a project car without the rear bumper Noice. I'd probably make the engine fall right through the bottom, if I were you at that point Also, there's 29 views and 124 thumbs up....
It was a bit painful to watch. But at least it wasn’t a blue balls like the Tavarish videos where he talks for 20 minutes and then time lapses 2 minutes of working then talks for another 3 minutes. I still highly prefer your struggle!
I subbed Tavarish for over a year, now I don’t like the drawn out lambo where everyone else works on it and he cleans up parts trying not to look stupid. Strad and B is for build for me.
Dean Ender I have restored a 91 Porsche 964 and a 65 Triumph TR4A IRS. I am looking for a new project car. But hey nice try maybe that will work on someone else 😂
I hope this keeps happening James. Working on cars is therapeutic. Next time, use heat for those type of parts. The temperature differential will make it so much easier to get them off. heat heat heat + 1 good tap with a hammer = win . Can't wait to hear/see the new setup !!!!!
You are a brave man indeed ... but I enjoyed watching all the havoc around. Plus it is rather interesting seeing a R8 in bits when it has not hit anything first. Good luck putting it all back together.
While I commend you for working on your own car unlike Parker the "engineer", this might be one of those jobs where you get Clayton or Russ to help you with the work. Also your Gallardo has been leaking for months, you might want to get that fixed.
James, I'm a professional tech, I became a professional by taking my parents/friends/own cars to bits and repairing them, stick at it and you'll get there if you have abit of self confidence, No one automatically could repair cars the second they were born, I love your video's and I've been watching a very long time, Great work and much respect to you.
It's going to be fun finding all the correct bolts on the floor when putting everything back again :D Big props for daring to do that whole thing by yourself though! I probably couldn't even change a wheel
Four more bolts, under chasis wire harness, fuel line, side fender removal and you can slide out the engine, your doing great, you have motivated me to remove my f150 exhaust manifold, and put some shorties.
Bro... I wish I could have 'liked' this video twice! Lol. Working on your own stuff is fun, if you have what you need, and a little bit of time. It's very rewarding as well. No doubt in my mind that Tavarish had been influencing you, and that's not a bad thing. Keep it up, my man! 👍🏻😎
This is literally the most relatable video of all time for me. Not having all the right tools, and taking out every bolt possible because ya never know 😂
people are saying: "get a lamborghini huracan" don't they may be better number wise, but many rich youtubers own one. get something original if you do decide to sell the r8, and gallardo
This video is inspiring for someone like myself who has plans to make a few simple modifications to my own vehicle. Always love your videos. Hello from a member of "the like sqaud".
I work on my truck by myself and get jittery over some things and my truck isn't expensive at all. You are working an a car that costed more than my house. The first car I worked on was from a junk yard. Like you said, pull the bolt and if it back. Keep doin what you're doing. I enjoy every video...
It was painful to watch. I'm SO glad you stayed with it. NOW to gotta put it back together! Hope you don't have any parts left over. Well, you have a video of the disassembly process so you see where all the parts and bolts go back together!
I know exactly what you are going through, I did the same work on my r8 v8... it's a pig of a job, not the hardest job but just loads of items to take off
Great job James! I now have no more excuses for doing the same thing. Hopefully my v10 Spyder isn't any more challenging. If I screw it up, then since Tavarish is just a few hours away, perhaps I can convince him to start a "road-call" series! (Hmmmmm - I could be on to something there - Lol). Tavarish wassup!
Dad?

Tavarish! we need to see your Lambo parked next to Stradmans Lambo!!
I see you on every video of his dude what’s your deal JKJK LMAO LOVE YOU TAVARISH
Hey Stradman, whenever I jack up a car I always take the wheels and put them under the car so that in the event the worse is to happen, it falls on the tires first instead of you. Hope this helps
My dad taught me this👍👍
RickyRoss Boss I learned this also and in fact it has saved my Genesis before..
yea but you use common sense not your parents money
Jack stands are mechanical, and can really only fail due to operator error.... if the contact point is appropriate and they are on hard level ground they are pretty much fail proof. That's actually some good advice, never thought of that before.

It's a huge peanut. Now gimme my $20
AERO BLKHWK32 Now we’re Rolling
Matthew Parietti lol
I think its vacuum rezervuar
Its the R8 triple testicles.
😝
I’m going to have to admit James this was painful to watch but since I am a dedicated stradman fan I followed through. I really wish I lived closer we would of knocked that exhaust out.
H&P Customs I agree with you the content recently is simply awful and painful
Awful compared tow his vlogs use to be
H&P Customs
I disagree. He did well and it was an interesting video.
Jack‘s Wasted Life No no his mechanic skills is what I’m talking about, his content is spot on. He even admits it in the video he is no mechanic.
H&P Customs
Yes I know you meant his mechanic skills. I think he did well for not having too much experience. But I know what you mean...some parts were painful to watch, but overall I think he did very well.

MusTang Nick wow nice 👍
**NO ITS NOT ,,, well Maybe**
aaah tex nick is correct it’s a vacuum canister
"storing vacuum" makes no sense, the correct scientific term is "expansion canister" to "maintain pressure". Vacuum is nothing, you can't store nothing. But I guess that people call it that way...
give the gallardo to tavarish to make it 1000 hp just like his
habib 034 I'm so addicted to Tavarish's Lambo build.
lol everyone is addicted
Haha! I just need to hear that thing start!!!!
Hell yea.
habib 034 Nope... This Orange Gallardo Is awesome as It Is.
5:33 checking his invisible watch
Axial Now we’re Rolling
I laughed harder than I should have
What do you mean? I could even see what time it was.
😮
😒
🙃
🤤
😲
🤑
It was a hair past a freckle..🤣😂
Axial He’s angling for a sponsorship from one of those shitty watch companies I bet. LOL
Don't forget 6:44
I'm having panic attacks about keeping track of all the loose parts
Great job at keeping at it. It's easy to give up and bring in someone else. Gotta start somewhere🤘!
Great video, I love watching raw footage like this of someone working on his own car. That fact that you make mistakes or take longer to do it doesn't matter and is actually part of the charm and realism of it all.
What’s up with the lambo leak 🤔
What’s awesome is watching his old stuff and then seeing where he is now. Good on ya man.
I remember the duct tape
me to
Now we’re Rolling
What was he doin at the time????
me three
Unfortunately, I do too
I’m impressed with your perseverance and ability to get all parts off. Well done.
The title should've been "how not to install a exhaust" love you though!
Awesome man. I'd like to see you work on your cars more often. 👌👍👏
Damn man, proud of you for even attempting!
Eye Dupppz Heyyy, that's pretty good!
Flip
Well done James! You have effectively saved yourself at least $250 in labor thus far. After swapping supercars, new trend on car vloggers is diy stuff on your garage!
Scirocco ThePunisher you really don’t see too many people working on their own supercars and for good reason. Makes good videos tho.
Scirocco ThePunisher Thank Tavarish for creating that trend.
Well done, cant wait to hear the sound of that exhaust. I admire your persistance on the v clamp
The squad is here!
your “distractions” are amazing and they are time well spent!!! i wish i had your distractions ❤️❤️
Good stuff Stradman, next time get a extended pipe and attach it to the ratchet for mechanical advantage to losen the lug nuts for the wheel
i have had to use pipes on an x wrench, lol
Or just use a breaker bar with a single hex socket like a proper person
Keep at it, you'll eventually get better at working on your car. Instead of saying "I'm bad at working on cars" just take it as a learning experience and eventually you'll get to be pretty savvy. Just a few years ago I knew nothing about cars, but now I'm rebuilding engines and doing crazy technical jobs that I would have never imagined myself doing
I'm more interested in seeing him put it back together, and seeing just how much he messes up the R8.
Strad, your dad is here. *DADDY DOUG*
Doug the type to shut your account down for impersonating him lol.
This is probably my favorite video you have made.... I do all my own work on my cars/trucks and I know the frustration when you don’t have all the tools /muscles lol
The greatest horror movie of 2018: Watching James trying to install a new exhaust for his R8 by himself, without proper tools or knowledge..
If all you have is a ratchet wrench and socket, the top part of the jack handle works great as a breaker bar extension. Love all your videos James! Keep em' coming. Also caught the labeled baggies, I've always done that and it makes re-assembly so much easier.
Throughout the video I have been dreading that it is gonna be multiple parts video...and it is! Catch ya later Straddy, can't wait to hear the sound!
That looked like a lot of work Strad... deserves a thumbs up!!!!
Lets pray I never have to deal with this with my R8 LOL
Canadian Rider didn’t u purchase an r8, I have see the thumbnail at the bottom of this video lol
Canadian Rider Don't worry, you'll never have to work on your diecast R8... it's just a toy.
DjJokerr that’s why there people that do the research bro, but you waste ur time being negative to a person that is successful?
Top work James. Nothing like renching on your own car. Frustrating but satisfying.
Strad dad
Try StraddyDaddy
Who are you anyway. I see you on every video
I am NOT boring I am me... I am lotus diaries.. in Orlando Fl
I really dig you working on your own projects. Good job Stradman!
AYYYYYYY
Also the car looks like a project car without the rear bumper
Noice.
I'd probably make the engine fall right through the bottom, if I were you at that point
Also, there's 29 views and 124 thumbs up....
Sean McManus hope you sub back!
Dedication is the remedy of separation as we all witness. Much love strad all the way from Orlando, FL 👍🏼
It was a bit painful to watch. But at least it wasn’t a blue balls like the Tavarish videos where he talks for 20 minutes and then time lapses 2 minutes of working then talks for another 3 minutes. I still highly prefer your struggle!
Arin Toker ...I so agree.. Tavarish seems to be milking it
I thought i was the only one! Everytime i watch his videos i feel like barely any progress was made
Arin Toker how far have you gotten on your Gallardo? 🧐
I subbed Tavarish for over a year, now I don’t like the drawn out lambo where everyone else works on it and he cleans up parts trying not to look stupid. Strad and B is for build for me.

5:32 *Looks at his hand with no watch* It's almost 5 pm
Hey Strad I have to appreciate ur work man. U have been working so hard since the morning. Hats off to u bro 🙏👍👌👏
So, the Lambo is still leaking oil...?
Captain Snarky his going to take the engine out himself soon to fix it.
nope no chance 😂😂😂 instead of wasting all this money on aftermarket shit.. he should fix the Oil Leak in the gallardo
DBLOCKJERSEY The aftermarket exhaust was a gift if I remember correctly...
You're a brave guy to take this on yourself Strad, but even braver to film it for all of us to see. Keep at it, loving your vids James!!!
Stradmans really making me want to buy an R8
Squidward's House same bro
i love when vlogs are about you working on your own cars! keep up
i dont care who is first.
What a rebel
Fer Luis Fernandez savage dude😂😂
That's what she said
Now we’re Rolling
Matthew Parietti aye u said that on another comment idiot
You are a brave man indeed ... but I enjoyed watching all the havoc around. Plus it is rather interesting seeing a R8 in bits when it has not hit anything first. Good luck putting it all back together.

I subbed!
Welcome! I am not even a car guy, and am kind of "old", but really his enthusiasm and passion......
6:23 “ow ow” 🤣😂🤣😂 favorite part of the video 🙌
You should hang out with Tavarish and get some lessons out LOL Nice job though!
It's going to be fun finding all the correct bolts on the floor when putting everything back again :D Big props for daring to do that whole thing by yourself though! I probably couldn't even change a wheel
nobody likes my comment so I’ll like it my self
Kk I'll like it too... Makes it less awkward
I’ll give it a like
cringe
It's Brian not Brayant
RTNANDEZ96 ik I did it on purpose I was trying to be like a commentator lol
Four more bolts, under chasis wire harness, fuel line, side fender removal and you can slide out the engine, your doing great, you have motivated me to remove my f150 exhaust manifold, and put some shorties.
Never trust a edited comment.
PARKERKAI *an
I am NOT boring thanks grammar police
Bro... I wish I could have 'liked' this video twice! Lol. Working on your own stuff is fun, if you have what you need, and a little bit of time. It's very rewarding as well. No doubt in my mind that Tavarish had been influencing you, and that's not a bad thing. Keep it up, my man! 👍🏻😎
Hot Cheese
This is literally the most relatable video of all time for me. Not having all the right tools, and taking out every bolt possible because ya never know 😂
James did you really have to have a buddy come over to crack your lug nuts for you? Where's your man card?
Pretty sure Nick is the guy who owns the house James lives in. Might be wrong though.
That's the owner of the house lol
Life Of Joe what does it matter who it is? Could be his mom for all i care. Point is he couldnt do it himself. Im just giving him shit anyways 👍
Nick owns the house. Also if I could get an NFL lineman to take the lug nuts off my car in my videos I'd do it too. LOL
A 3'-4' foot length of pipe is a wonderful thing.
Your hard work deserves a thumbs up .
You officially f***** up your car
Says a guy who'd never even change his own wiper
A lot of car guys wouldn't even try this install. Congrats to you for pulling it off!
How to install exhaust for dummies by dummies 😛
Much respect for taking this on!
"INSERT WITTY COMMENT HERE"-get tons of likes.
Jared **JOCK-STRETCHER**
Not sure if I should like or not
Stradman has officially entered into the Big boys club not only can you own a Supercar you can fix it as well! Great vid
Tavarish is looking pale
I’m excited for the installation process!
people are saying: "get a lamborghini huracan" don't
they may be better number wise, but many rich youtubers own one. get something original if you do decide to sell the r8, and gallardo
Well, he has said that he would much prefer the Gallardo over the Huracan any day.
I enjoy the straddy struggle. Keep it up strad
Love that you did it yourself, always a feeling of accomplishment when you can save a few $$$$$$$$$$$$
We Love your videos James!!
Great work! Typical garage experience, your doing just fine.
Bro this is awesome content you taking on the job just keep it up bro you'll learn
you're TheStradman!!
This video is inspiring for someone like myself who has plans to make a few simple modifications to my own vehicle. Always love your videos.
Hello from a member of "the like sqaud".
you working on your car is amazing keep up the good work!
So funny I was thinking of Tavarish the entire upload! Well even trying is grea brothert, very entertaining, you are hilarious.
I work on my truck by myself and get jittery over some things and my truck isn't expensive at all. You are working an a car that costed more than my house. The first car I worked on was from a junk yard. Like you said, pull the bolt and if it back. Keep doin what you're doing. I enjoy every video...
(Camera falls) “are you guys ok” this is the best thing I’ve seen and heard all day
Don’t worry! I had help doing a engine replacement for my Focus ST. It was a great way to learn how things hookup together.
It was painful to watch. I'm SO glad you stayed with it. NOW to gotta put it back together! Hope you don't have any parts left over. Well, you have a video of the disassembly process so you see where all the parts and bolts go back together!
I know exactly what you are going through, I did the same work on my r8 v8... it's a pig of a job, not the hardest job but just loads of items to take off
Pretty much every video on my channel is of my working alone 😂 Motor installs and all. You figure it out after a few times.
Seriously enjoyed the hell outta this video, Strad! When you broke out the hammer, I died!! ahahahaha Keep going, buddy!
Maybe I should I also video my R8 operation - that way I can show everyone the proper way of cursing and throwing tools? Ha!
Hey atleast you didnt give up! most people give up Keep on keeping on!
lot o' fun to see you strugling with all that stuff!!!
The more I look at your "Arancione" (Orange) Lambo the more I love it and if I were in you I'd make it some cool mods!
James I hope to hear those straight pipes soon!
In addition, nice work on the exhaust! Sometimes you just have to jump in and learn as you go.
Good job James. Keep going, you can do it
You did great getting that hard to work on R8 exhaust system off!!!!!
Man, I haven’t watched anything else since i found your channel. Very cool indeed.
Use the jack handle as a breaker bar for the lug wrench. More leverage that way.
Wow that factory muffler is huge. Cant wait to hear the straight pipes.
Danm!
Don't know why but in my opinion I enjoyed this video more than almost any other of your Video James.😄
Keep up the Good Work boi!
Keep track of bolts in Ziploc bag... parts that are hard to remove u might want to heat them up to expand the metal or use wd40. Also put heat shielding on new exhaust
Great video, Will you put back in the heat shield.?
*Dude! This VLogg was awesome!* more stuff like this
