2004 Cadillac SRX no starter action all of a sudden? how to check starter

If your SRX just quit starting one day without any warning don't assume its the starter or let a high dollar shop tell you so.
Sometimes other things can cause the same symptom , this video shows how to bypass the relay by using a jumper wire , in this case we found the starter to work fine.

cmartin1121 we ended up taking the car to a certified Cadillac tech , according to the tech he jumped the starter relay with another , and the car came back to life he did mention that the fuse panel you see in the video is known to fail . My friend who owned the car decided to trade it in a couple of weeks ago.

Any ideas what it was? Not sure on the acceptability of the complete fuse block.

my 08 srx starter wires burnt from the exhaust pipe shielding failing...
