    whatever it is, the governance and overall infrastructure of the Indian cricket and their compensation has improved for good of Indian cricket.. the mandatory rule to play first class cricket to secure A contract will be good for Indian cricket.

      You are right. There was no need for Jay Shah and Rajiv Shukla to be in the bus during victory parade. People wanted to see team India not them.

Pat Cummins won the world cup in india last year but no cricket Australia officials came to ground to celebrate with pat Cummins they decided to stay away from the team they show their professionalism

    Valid points by Mr. Gavaskar. People do tend to compare their era with current one and make some assumptions that are not necessarily helpful. However I don't think Shukla and Jay Shah belong in this bus. This Shukla guy is seen everywhere and I was initially wondering who is this fat dude in Indian jersey! 😄😄😄

    Gavaskar's each comment will have a selfish motive.If there are sufficient mumbaikars in the team he's happy.If Rohit swings his bat and gets out it's a sacrifice but if anyone else gets out same way it's poor shot selection. Panth's pr has taken care of him! Similarly Rohan gavaskar has been well taken care of!!!

    Such a discouraging message coming from a legend. Why can't a cricketer participate in cricket administration? The BCCI should help such cricketers in gaining knowldege regarding administration but they don't since most of the political parties control state cricket administration and from which they come into BCCI and control BCCI, thereby no chance for any cricketer to participate in administration.

      The best administeators in Cricket Australia have been non-players too. Or players that only played at a local level. Look at Malcolm Speed and James Sutherland.

      indian cricket was always run by politicians and businessmen as they end up becoming heads of their state cricket boards. sharad pawar, arun jaitley, dalmia, N Srini to name a few- Jay shah has actualy done a good job.

      ​@@irwinpinto4819 Not just the current guy, you look at the past. Sharad Pawar who is probably the most corrupt politician India has ever produced became the chief of BCCI and later on ICC. Wherever there is money and power, there will always be politicians. Be it sports, education or banks.

      Nah Malcolm Speed and James Sutherland were the best presidents of Cricket Australia. Malcolm Speed never played high level ceicket and Sutherland only 4 games at state level (Sutherland is a CA and had business experience before becoming chair of CA)

      Construction company Ka CEO civil engineer ho ye jaruri nhi , koi MBA grad hoga . Even ministries related to communications or Railways , avaiation or road consructions all are headed by IAS officers and not engineers.
