    Camcorders are good and truly tested and tried since the early 80s. They just work. I got rid of my digital cameras and went back to camcorders. I missed alot of good shots and life moments because I was using an iphone (over hyped and don't work) and interchangeable cameras such as GH5. Camcorders just work. Try it out!

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101

      Yes I agree, they are much more reliable and easy to operate compared to using a DSLR as a video camera. However when it comes to quality unless you buy a really expensive camcorder the DSLR or Mirroless cameras will have much better video quality.

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  2 года назад +1

      No problem,
      The camera settings for RUclipsrs depend on the type of video you are shooting, and for each type the settings must be different. For example, if your video has too much motion such as sporting events you will need to choose higher shutter speeds. If your video has low light situation, you need to lower the shutter speed and increase the ISO. This camera is good for getting depth of field, but it is not very good for low depth of field to get blurred ( out of focus ) background. For that you will need a DSLR or Mirrorless camera using a 50mm lens.

    Thank you for replying to my question but I need to follow up with another question. I understand using a clip-on mic would make all the difference but I am videoing outdoor live hunting and much of it right now is turkey hunting so a shotgun mic is kind of important to pick up the sounds being made by animals but there is still a hissing noise in the specialty noise on the zoom even after changing the gain but it is much better when switched over to manual for some reason? Any other suggestions knowing that I need to use a shotgun mic?

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  3 года назад

      I used to have a Sennheiser 502047 MKE400 which I loved for recording the sounds of birds under tall trees but lost it. If you really want to capture sounds from longer distance with minimal unwanted side noises you need to use a long shotgun mic, but you also need to use a headphone to monitor it real time. Because long distance shotgun mics are extremely directional meaning slightest change of mic angle will lose the target of sound pickup. I am not a mic expert so I recommend you watch this guys advise linked here ruclips.net/video/jM4Nt-MVovg/видео.html

    This camcorder can output 422 10bit 1080p at 60fps or 29.97 or 23.976. An atomos recorder can record over billion colors with this canon g60. 4k only outputs 422 8bit. It puts it in psf wrapper and atomos recorder can extract each signal of 60 30 and 24 fps. The monitor will show 1080 60i but the signal will be embedded in the output. Canon uses this unique psf for hdmi. Also adhere to ntsc broadcast standard for compatible studio monitors.

    So I did purchase this camera and after viewing my recordings outside with a cannon shotgun mic attached there is a lot of background noise and every time I use the zoom I can also hear it and it is actually very loud in the recording? How can I fix this? I did see another video that said if I put the sound in M it will automatically reduce the gain and it did and I set it to #33 instead of the auto setting of #66. the HF-G range are very under rated, i use a HF-G30 and the mechanical stabilisation is great but paired with a DJI Ronin S looks amazing, with it's wide angle lense and Canons Cinematic mode you get great footage that can be compaired to Cine camera, only let down is i can only shoot 1080, but this paired with a Gimbal would be the easiest press record and go rig for anyone

    Looking to purchase a camcorder for my podcast and been researching for weeks. Narrowed it down to 4 and was hoping to get some advice on a final decision. I narrowed it down to the Sony FDR-AX53, Panasonic HC-VXF1, Canon HF-G50 and Canon HF-G60. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  2 года назад

      My personal preference would be the Canon HF-G60 because of its bigger sensor. I used to have the Sony FDR-AX53 and I wasn't too impressed with it, it kind of exaggerated the colors and they don't look as natural as the Canon. The Panasonic HC-VXF1 is good, but in my opinion, the only Panasonic that beats the Canon HF-G60 is the Panasonic HC-X1 and they are very expensive. I do admit that there are some extra bells and whistles on the Canon HF-G60 that you will never use in a Podcast setup, such as a mechanical image stabilizer, ND Filters, etc. however the image quality is very good for the price.

    Hi ! Last year I purchased a F G50 (the menu system appears to be the same, the main difference in the cameras is the cost as a result of a greater chip size in the G60) and used it without really getting to understand the camera.
    In preparation for this year’s use I am going though setting up and operating the camera more professionally. The video was excellent in tutoring the use of camera functions and gave me a greater insight to the details of the menu systems and their capabilities. Thanks again.

    Hey buddy for best low light results when shooting at night with least noise, what manual settings do you suggest??? THanks.

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  3 года назад

      Actually that depends on the type of scene you are shooting. For example if it is a rapidly changing or moving objects you can't lower the shutter speed or else you will have motion blur. So in that case you have to rely on ISO increase. If the scene is more like still with little motion then I recommend lower shutter speed and at standard ISO. So it is a lose lose situation because you will either have ISO noise or motion blur. However with a large sensor that this camera has there is little ISO noise so I would strictly focus on motion blur reduction.

    Does this camcorder have a infrared option for filming in the dark?

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  3 года назад

      The cameras that have night vision actually have an infrared light that illuminates a completely dark room with a light spectrum invisible to humans, but enough for the camera sensor to record monochrome video with it. This camera does not have any infrared illuminating LED. So in a completely dark room you get nothing it will be pitch black. However the large and super sensitive sensor on this camera gives you a decent video footage even with one candle light in an average room.

    Hello! Need help! There was a violation of the fastener of the focal lens. This thing scratched the rest of the lenses, there is no sense in restoring. The issue can be solved only by replacing the lens. Please tell me if there is a lens for Canon Legria HF G 60 on sale in your country?

    Thanks for uploading your video - I've learnt a great deal from it. Just one question if I may; can you fit a filter to the lens (say, like a UV) and then be able to refit the supplied lens hood? >Cheers

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  3 года назад

      No problem, and yes you can. The lens hood sits on the outer side of the lens outer ring, and the filter screws in to the inner side. So they will not interfere with each other as long as you use the correct type of filter that will not stick too high from lens outer mounting ring.

    This would be a great camera if it was not for the flip screen quality. I have the Canon G40, G30 and I was going to upgrade to the G60, but Canon what did you guys do? First of all my Canon G40 has a oled flip screen 3.5 inch and the G60 has a 3 inch tf screen. Just the image that you see on the G60 Flip screen is awfull its like a downgrade in that part. The G40 Screen you Can View in any angle and on G60 you have to look at it straight to see somewhat somewhat some good colors, but its not nearly as good as the G40 or the G30 Screen. The G40 screen is more comparable to the Gx10 and the XF400. The battery life is the same as the g40, I was going to keep the G60 if it was not for the flip screen. I'll just have to wait till Canon comes with new Camcorders. The GX10 and XF400 are great camcorders but the battery life is not good. The G40 and G60 can record around 230 minutes on the bigger battery and the GX10, XF400 can record 130 to 145 on the same battery size. I do long events so battery life is very important to me

      @@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 I have a question on the Canon G60 and was wondering if you can check on yours. I have the Canon G40 which I use to record events including weddings. I like the G40, but my only issue on it is that I cannot record on two sd cards at the same time in 1080 60p just in lower resolution. I already ordered the Canon gx10 that camera can record on both in the maximum resolution. The only thing that i didnt check before ordering was the battery, I can record 230 minutes with one battery on the G40 and thats what I need. I was reading the Gx10 is way less, if thats the case I'll have to return it. Could you please check on your G60 if you can record on both sd cards one as backup 1080 60p mp4? If its posible I'll just return the Gx10 and get the G60. I dont need 4k becuase I record events and its 4 to 7 hours final edits for cuatomer and 4k would be to large files.

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  3 месяца назад +1

      Greetings, if you compare it to a 35mm camera a full frame sensor would be approximately 1.7" diagonally. However in digital cameras they go by measure the sensor size by inches, where 1" inch sensor is the standard. Smaller sensor will be 1/2 inches, 1/1.2 inches etc.

      @@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 Is there a way to reduce the 4K recording bitrate from 150 Mbps to lower??

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  3 года назад

      @@MaheshWalatara Unfortunately I couldn't find that option in there. The only way to drop the Mbps is to lower the resolution down to 1080P. I think the reason why it doesn't do that is that you would need a video re-scaling processor to compress the video down to lower bit rate. Having such a circuit requires more power, which will be generating more heat, Higher Battery consumption and the possibilities of frames dropping. So you will need to do that post production in Final Cut or Adobe Premier.
