dope vid bro, love the colors.
Good stuff, thanks for the comment, cheers!
Looks great
Thank you 🙏
Beautiful footage that you captured! Love the mood 👏
Thank you! I appreciate it, Cheers!
Wonderful
Thank you! Cheers!
lovely images! I'dove to see how you graded this! cheers!
I took the log footage and put a Wide Dynamic Range Log Lut on it to really flatten it out, then I used the Sony Phantom Luts for a base and tweaked from there. I will do a video on this process soon! Thanks for the comment, Cheers!
@@KarlWeinreich 🙌 cheers!! looking forward to that next post mate! ;)
This is cool, how did you grade the log footage and what software
Thanks, I graded in premiere pro. I took the log footage and put a Wide Dynamic Range Log Lut on it to really flatten it out, then I used the Sony Phantom Luts for a base and tweaked from there. I will do a video on this process soon! Thanks for the comment, Cheers!
what is the name of the song?
Was really hopeful that the sharpening wasn't so baked, but it seems that apple isn't going to tweak that setting yet. Still love to see Log options here. Not about to abandon MotionCam anytime soon for iPhone, that sweet uncompressed raw is still the best I've seen.
Yeah the sharpness comes out a lot for sure. The log option is awesome and fun to play with for sure. I haven’t used MotionCam before any good? Thanks for the comment, cheers.
@@KarlWeinreich MotionCam is certainly good in the sense that it allows for cinemaDNG shooting; the quality is incredible. The workflow however is that of any camera shooting CinemaDNG, so it's a bit cumbersome. File sizes are enormous, rendering intermediates or proxies is necessary, and although you're able to get buttery smooth footage thanks to Gyroflow integration, that's still another step. The results are hard to argue with, it really is next level image quality from a phone.
Thanks for the breakdown, I will have to check that out!
Nice! was this cropped or anamorphic adapter?
Thanks! This was cropped. I want a anamorphic adapter though! Cheers
Keren
Thanks you!
Missing Detail but richer colour
Totally agree, thanks for the comment, Cheers!
Its not missing detail its just not fake oversharping like other phones
@chromatix6321 yeah what they said 🙌
@@KarlWeinreich hey bro i have a question when i apply a lut its look perfect on the first frame but after this one it gets weaker any idea why?
That is strange, I have not had that issue. Maybe add the lut to a adjustment layer and see it that helps. This is a very weird issue and I will check it out myself to see if something has changed with a update to the log profile. Thanks for the comment, Cheers!
My favorite girl and dog and creepy Halloween music I am here for 😬
Always with the best comments! 😄
when I do a simple pan (right to left, or up to down) on my iphone 15 pro, I watch it back on the computer, and it looks like theres a stutter. It resembles a shutter speed issue. I can't figure out how to fix it at 24 fps. So I shot it at 60 fps, and then went into Adobe premiere and chose "interpret footage" and typed in 23.976. And when the conform is done, it still goes back to looking jittery again. I cant figure out for the life of me why a simple pan at 24 fps on the iphone 15 pro looks like garbage. mind you i dont think i have it set to pro res. do you think that'll fix the issue?
I have not been able to replicate this. Have you figured it out? Thanks for brining it up though!
@@KarlWeinreich when you try to replicate it, are you filming at 24 fps doing a slow tripod pan (or handheld pan) then screening the footage on a computer (must be computer, cant be a phone). screening it on a professional video editing program like adobe premiere?
@rachinc yeah tried it in both std and ProRes. Neither do it on my computer in premiere pro. That is strange! What computer are you using. Could it just not like the edit the footage?
@@KarlWeinreich iMac 2020, 3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9, 64gb ram. operating system: sonoma 14.1
@rachinc it may not like the footage in the intel chips. My M1 has a hard time chewing through it to be honest.
was this all handheld?
Yes it was, thanks for the comment 👍
@@KarlWeinreich lovely, Its most intuitive way to operate it.
For sure!
Ain't no way. My 24fps is absolutely laggy and choppy, unusable footage. How did you do that
I don't know what to tell you. Is it your computer or on your phone it it choppy? I didn't do anything special. Thanks for the comment, Cheers!
Same here...
Have you found a way to fix it?
@@josef_ddit is about shutter speed which has to be the exactly double of your fps. 24 fps = 48 shutter speed. However if you record at daylight you will need an ND Filter to be able to record at that shutter speed otherwise the image is overexposed. Your phone sets the shutter speed very high to be able to record outside but this has the side effect of chuppy image
Over exposure from the tree stump to the sky. Good music transitions on beat but unfortunately video quality (Auto White Balance) needs work
Yeah need to get into the custom settings. But still not bad for just pointing it at things and pressing record. Thanks for the comment, cheers!
No time to adjust exposure/WB and stuffs when you have to just point and shoot something memorable that happens quickly. Like street fights, your baby's first steps etc.
