How long did this fix last you? I was planning on replacing my suspension rods actually but whirlpool no longer manufactures them unfortunately so I have no choice but to use this trick or rebuild my old ones.
I've got repairs on these 4 years and going. You can always tighten the collars again if the washer shakes but if you tighten them well, they shouldn't loosen.
I did before, but noticed it wasn’t beneficial. They don’t loosen up. Also the lox loctite can stop you in the future. Those collars can be adjusted in the future.

Ever use blue loctite on the screws?
