That hands down is insane that the vehicle parked itself. I never grinned so hard seeing it do that lol. Koreas technology always blows my mind ever since i had a vacation there, and now this WOW just wow!
To be fair, a human driver often can't see the lines when close in and has to judge from the position of surrounding cars and obstacles that are within the field of view and sometimes due to how poorly other cars are parked, the parking position with respect to the lines has to be compromised. I think testing without parked cars might tell us whether or not it uses the lines for parking and depending on the field of view of the cameras, not being quite right with respect to the lines isn't too bad. The support pillar may also have messed with the positioning and also might with a human driver. Really, until we can have almost all cars automated, there will always be some situations that may be difficult for the systems to address. I wonder if this will lead to parking lots that are so tight that you have to disembark and board when not parked and whether automation will lead to very tight parking lots that require cars be shuffled to extract a car such as happened with parking valets.
Not sure how the algorithm works, but RSPA often does correct it's parking when it's not perfect from time to time. The initial position of the vehicle seems to play a huge role with the result. Thanks for watching!
I seem to remember that it was Ford that was really big on automated parking decades ago. Could this be somehow related to how Ford has invested heavily in both Hyundai and Kia? The Hyundau advanced driving are also lomited to approved routes and Ford's BlueCruise is also limited to approved routes, now journalist reviews have placed BlueCruise as much better than Hyundai's advanced drive but could there be some involvement again...
The Hyundai self-paring feature appears to be inferior to Teslas's self-parking. The Tesla centers the car between the lines almost perfectly every time. Most of the time it parks pretty fast, but sometimes it takes some time to get into narrow parking places.
It mostly had to do with the car being IONIQ 5 "N," had the car been IONIQ 5 regular model, it'd had less struggle parking there. It's because the I5N has a huge turning radius due to the car's steering wheel ratio - which also has to do with its crazy performance and handling on sport driving circumstances. Anyhow, you are also addressing a reasonable statement, thanks for sharing! Dropping a comparison video of regular IONIQ 5 here ;) ruclips.net/video/-nBnZ7GqPiM/видео.htmlsi=kzGqp2goNslE7_Ce
@@CarSceneKorea I have a 2022 Tesla Model 3 and Tesla has given me two free months of FSD. I have been stunned at how good the newest version of FSD it - it is nothing short of amazing. Last Sunday and friend and I went to church. I parked my Model 3 in a large parking lot that was VERY busy because this church has three services. So the lot has massive traffic at the end of a service. I told my friend I was going to try the Tesla Smart Summon feature. So we stood at the entrance of the busy parking lot and i hit the smart summon button. We had thought we were parked on the west side of the parking lot and were looking for the car that way. Actually, the car was on the other side of the parking lot. My friend said, "I don't see it," as we looked for it and right as he said that, the car pulled up right beside us. it was positively magic because that parking lot was full of people and cars that were coming to the new service and leaving from the previous service. My friend could not believe it, he was stunned.
Tesla is great, no argument there. Just wanted to readdress that RSPA - Remote Smart Parking Assist - on IONIQ 5 N is much challenging to park in a tight parking lot due to car's physical limitation of the I5N being a performance EV rather than just the regular IONIQ 5. The result would've been much different had it been a regular IONIQ 5 :)
Has Hyundai made any changes/upgrades to the electronic circuits/chips responsible for this function or did they use the same tech as in the first years when this vehicle was launched ?
That is exactly why it's bad coded. It SHOULD recognize a BIG WHITE LINE and not park on it, especially with another car so close. If the driver had stay in the car, he could even get out ! It really needs a debug.
awesome. but why not replace a real car/pillar with else and simulate a thight parking lot instead? whats that silver car? looks lika a tesla but no its not

Should've done better job IONIQ 5 N, if you were going to get this much attention! :)
I have nothing but respect for you for potentially (once again) sacrificing your own car in these self-parking tests ...
In Hyundai we trust 🤝Things I do under the name of RUclips! 🤣
@@CarSceneKorea Sweet Z! Are you gonna be okay when you trade it in for your IONIC 5 N?
My Z is a keeper, she's who I am today, never selling the car!
The spot was really tight.. . Very small, maybe the AI divided the space equally that is why it step over the white line
You have a point!

Another great video keep up the good work kev from the United Kingdom 🇬🇧
Thanks 👍🇬🇧
I’d say it did fine. Those are tough parking conditions. Would want to manually adjust but it did the hard part.
Hope you get rest!

Does the Ioniq 5 N have ventilated seats? Can you please confirm if it does or does not. Thank you!
All Ioniq 5 N vehicles in Korea have ventilated seats as standard
As otdk said :) Standard in all IONIQ 5 Ns
Is the 3D model in the infotainment color coordinated with the car; or is it the 'standard' blue?
Can't change the color unfortunately. Hopefully it'd be updated soon. Genesis can customize to match your car, so hopefully one day!
oh man you already got it??! nice

Just awesome 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!

@@CarSceneKorea Good to know. Thanks
I wish I had a 5N here in Germany. I´ll wait so long for a price of this awesome car. #Hyundai gimme some more Infos about the price to buy one...
Sure do hope to see this beauty around the globe!

Hey@@schoggo187, danke für deine Antwort, Lass uns mal in Kontakt bleiben :D
@@CarSceneKorea I ordered one at 12/15/2023
@@schoggo187 Wie sieht es bei dir aus ?
I'm going to have to find a dealership that'll let me test drive one of these bad boys.
Heard it cannot be test driven alone no more. Someone from dealership has to sit alongside.
@@CarSceneKorea that's very disappointing. Guess I need to make some connections to get my hands on one for some content another way
@@CarSceneKorea that's disappointing but not surprising

Need to check on that 🧐
Motor sounds like fan 😂😂😂
That probably was the fan running indeed.
4:00 In fact, it's not recognizing the white line, it's because it enters the center of the space.
Indeed 👍

I'm a bit sad the us market does not get this feature.
Didn't get the RSPA? 😭
@@CarSceneKorea nope, I tried to look for it and it does not do it at all. My key even looks a different.
Not that it'd comfort you, I know other Hyundai dealerships do water down a few features 😭
your hair getting more white after a parking video haha.. hope you enjoy the ioniq 5 N.. The prices are similar to ev6 gt?
A bit more than EV6 GT here in Korea ;)
Amazing!!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
so nice ! sad that the car is super expensive in switzerland :( lease ask 1k3 dollar a month lol my Macan GTS is less than that loooool what a shame
Sure do hope we'd get better pricing on these EVs 🥲

Even us humans parked our vehicles on the white lines, so to me this car did a great job
Haha indeed👍I know it can do better job as I’ve witnessed with GV60 and G90 before, hope it’d given me the perfect one ☝️
why don't you talk about the new k5??
I did shoot a vid on it, never had the chance to edit just yet 😭
compare to ev6/ioniq5, the parking seems to be better in terms of speed.
=/ I do like the old Ioniq 5 key-fob though - if it's like the 6 that feels too plastic, light and unnecessarily large.
We want to see parallel parking with this thing and curbing the rims.
That does sound like a guaranteed video with views...
I was worried that we're going to read you getting run over 😅 also who's N is that 😏
awesome.
but why not replace a real car/pillar with else and simulate a thight parking lot instead?
whats that silver car? looks lika a tesla but no its not
It won't portray my belief in the RSPA as much :P It's a 2011 Nissan 370z, whoa, she's more than a decade old now!
New G90 on the way > ; )
We know which car is next then 😅
Tesla's self-parking is so much better.
the other car looks so boring next to the N
Indeed.
It still did 1000 percent better than a tesla 😂
Gotta look up how they do 🧐

WOW, of all those cars, never thought Tesla would come last!
Take off subtitles
You can turn it off hitting the CC button 🫡
More gimmicky than useful too slow
Comes in real handy when you find a parking space right against a pillar you can't get out. That one time use alone is worth the investment :)
