@@CarsJubilee I think it is going to vary by location and dealership. In Utah, it's claimed to be about six months. On the other hand, I ordered it to replace my totaled car, so it's a big inconvenience.
Oh wow that's odd, there's no real order system in the US. You can place a deposit with a specific dealer and they can tell you when they are allocated a car that matches what you want. But for them to say 6 months means probably there is a long wait list ahead of you at that specific dealer. Dealers get allocations around 1-2 times a month, some dealers only get 1-2 cars per allocation while others may get 15-20 cars per allocation. So if you are flexible about paying MSRP or over MSRP and are willing to travel a little farther than your current search area, you may be able to find one sooner just by trying another dealer. Dealers selling with big markups may very likely even have one on the lot ready to sell as long as you are willing to pay that markup.
@@CarsJubilee, yeah there is a big wait ahead of me unfortunately. I test drove the Ionic at this dealership, and they expect to get about 9 allocated a month. We'll see how that actually turns out. I can get by while I wait, but the kid wanting his new toy is very strong with this one :)
I appreciate so much your down to earth description of the big and little things to know about the Ioniq 5. We have had our Shooting Star Limited for just two weeks and love it. Your video enabled me to relax when it came time to wash it and apply the protectant. Really easy. From one Pennsylvanian to another, thanks. John
Thanks John, appreciate the feedback! Really glad you found my content to be helpful. AND really excited to hear we are car twins in PA! I'm starting to hear from more new SSG owners in the area but have still yet to see another one. I'm on the hunt to see another SSG in person haha.
I tried those USB C adapters and they get really hot when using. I ended up tossing them since i was worried they were going to cause either a fire or electrical issues. I'd avoid them
So glad to hear that! This one really surprised me too as it seems a little counter-intuitive at first but afterwards I realized why the programmed it that way and it makes sense, you want to be able to engage both motors for max regen so without having a physical on/off button the i-pedal regen setting allows us to do that. I definitely spent the first 1000 miles not knowing that until I started doing some testing with it =)
@@Investor9872 It's excellent for stop and go traffic conditions and heavy traffic. Or if you like to switch regen levels based on driving conditions like I do, then I always end up in I-pedal when I'm coming to a complete stop. Then I make sure to switch out of it before moving off again using the paddles. On the flipside, a lot of people won't mind the hit to efficiency (I don't think it's going to be that drastic of a hit to your overall range) and would rather just drive in I-pedal, which is totally fine and personal preference. But I just felt it was important that people should understand how the system works so in case they want max range they know what to do.
Thank you!! Ya I forgot to mention that so great point, I've been using the in car voice commands a lot while driving for seat heating, seat ventilation and heated steering wheel. tips? To put the window washers in an upright position?, turn off the engine, and then you have to press and hold the window washer switch for 2 seconds (down)
Ya I've seen a huge range amongst the owners. Your avg speed and driving conditions really make a huge difference. I very rarely get up to true highway speeds. Mostly city driving and when I do get on the highway there's a good chance it's in slower moving traffic.

You're welcome, that's correct. When using V2L from inside the car the car must be on (though you can switch to utility mode). If you use the V2L adapter through the charge port, then you can leave the car off.
Thanks for the video. I pickup my Limited on Monday, 4/25, so I'm very excited. You mentioned Plugshare and ABRP. I have those apps on my iPhone. Will they automatically show up when I engage/start CarPlay? If not, how do you load or use them?
I'm actually not 100% sure, I'm still learning about these apps myself but they are supposed to be compatible with carplay and android auto. I've only played around with them briefly and not yet through the cars system. My guess is if it is installed the icon should come up once you have carplay's home screen up and running.
@@MihneaStoian Thanks for the clarification Mihnea, have you tried the subscription? I think I'm fine with leaving it running on my phone but curious if it runs well with AA for CP.
Do you have a 12v jump starter u recommend for ioniq5? Mine died last week and had to call roadside assistance to jump start it. The car was off so I am not sure why it happened
This is a newer version of one that I have: amzn.to/3coOf5j This brand probably has the best reviews but there stuff is more pricey: amzn.to/3IGOuoh Might be a bad 12v? Common culprits have been stuff left plugged into the obd2 port or the usb port (I think the wired android auto port might stay on) or using the bluelink app to open the charge port but there's also been some faulty batteries out there.
Gave this a like, but FYI audio level is very low. This would probably be good for music, but for this, more compression, and higher level, are probably appropriate.
Thanks Ronald, I ended up trying a few different mics since this video. I think my most recent videos have hopefully resolved the sound/volume issues but please let me know if you think it needs more work =)
I ended up never having to use it. In small spots, I think it would look fine (as good as using it on regular finish car paint). In larger applications I think it would look a little mismatched.
Hello, thanks for the video, very helpful tips. A question about the 12V battery: if I go on vacation and leave the vehicle for several days (or weeks) at the airport, would it be advisable to activate the utility mode so that the small 12V battery is not drained during this time? Best regards
You're welcome, leaving the car off should be fine. Just make sure to unplug things that may draw power. And make sure your state of charge is somewhere above 30-40%. I forget the cutoff but below a certain % the car will not charge your 12v.
@@CarsJubilee Okay so the 12v battery should charge for several days or weeks when I park it and won't go dead if I park it at 20/30%? Have you ever been in a similar situation with your car? I ask because I am concerned about the 12V battery going dead when I come back.
Make sure you park your car with a higher state of charge than 20-30%. That might be too low and the car might refuse to charge your 12v. I think 30-40% is safer, I don't remember the exact % you need to stay above. My car sat in my driveway for 2-3 weeks waiting for a new windshield. Started up just fine on the first start up.
Hello @carsJulbilee I wanted to know if I need to purchased a Level2 charging station and installed it in my Garage to get level2 charges or can I use my provided charger that came with my IONIC 5 and pull it into a 240 volt outlet and get level2 charge?
I don't think the Hyundai provided cable will work with your 240v outlet. The hard part of getting the 240v outlet is done so now you just need to buy a system that can plug directly into it.
With regards to tip #5, you said Google Assistant can work through Bluelink to adjust the interior temperature, but can you use Google Assistant to turn on the heated or ventilated seats?
I haven't tried since the newest software update so I'll have to give it a shot. Previously the only thing I could get to work was essentially the remote climate start. If I get anything else to work with Google assistant I'll post another video for it.
When you were showing plugshare and ABRP was that on the cars navigation system or a separate device? Trip planning needs to be built into the car so the software can plan based on current battery levels.
They are both available through Android auto and apple carplay so you can use the car's infotainment screen. However, ABRP requires a paid subscription if you want to use it that way. Otherwise it's free on your phone but no projection to the car's infotainment screen.
I don't know how you guys are able to place an order for one. Here in Southern Cal, I've contacted everyone around me, over 10 dealerships, and they all tell me that there is no avenue to place a custom order for an Ioniq 5. I wanted a Limited AWD with white interior and Atlas White or Lucid Blue exterior.
You are correct in the US there is no such thing as placing an order for the Ioniq 5. You can put a deposit down if that specific dealer is dealing that way, but essentially you are putting a deposit down to get in line and wait for a car to come in. Dealers do not get to pick and choose what cars they get, they simply get an allocation and they offer whatever they get to those in line. Unfortunately that isn't crystal clear as some dealers may tell you otherwise, that you've placed an order with them and you just need to patient. In that sense if you wait long enough, they just might get the color combo and trim that you 'ordered' eventually and can sell it to you but the fact is that even the dealer has no say on what car they get or when. All Ioniq 5 buyers in the US are either finding their cars on the lot or going through a deposit system with a dealer. Hope that helps!
You need to contact a dealer that will let you put a deposit down for one that is "in transit", that's how I got mine, they know what is coming ahead of time so you just have to check to see if they have what you want, that's how I got mine at Cardenaley way in corona, i had also enquired at Temecula Hyundai, they called me 2 days ago saying they had a limited coming but I already purchased one.
All good, it's just personal preference I think. Some people are happy with having only Google maps running in android auto while others want to see Google maps and Spotify/other things at the same time so they don't have to flip between pages.
Could be a lot of different things. Checkout this one I did: ruclips.net/video/ZrDcla7pg_o/видео.html Stay out of ipedal regen above 15mph, stay near the speed limit, stay out of sport mode. Those will help but if it's really cold outside you just won't be able to pull high numbers until the weather changes.
@@CarsJubilee thanks so much. All of the tips you gave me helped. I also learned that the assisted driving on the highway is terrible for the KWM - but on long trips I gotta have it.
You're welcome! Highway driving assist is actually very efficient. It uses Regen braking, so you should use it as often as you want. The real killer is speed, the faster you go the less efficient it is.
Hey Brian, since yours is RWD you can use ipedal as much as you want. There's no front motor you would have to worry about engaging. I still do think if you were to switch levels manually and coast in level 0 when possible that you'd get better efficiency but it may not be that big of a difference.
Canadian cars also have the 12v battery charging light. The car will only charge the 12v if it's above 25%, I believe, so don't leave your car with low SOC or the 12v won't be topped up and it will die. Canadian Bluelink app doesn't integrate with Google Assistant and it a horrible laggy app that doesn't look anything like the US one. :/
Oh that's really good to know and that may explain why some people are back to dead 12v batteries! Really interesting that we have different bluelink apps. I feel like mine in the US is already pretty slow and laggy, so if yours is worse then it's probably pretty unusable :( I hope Hyundai works on updating them for all markets!
I'm not sure about the other markets but the US market doesn't have any fog lights on any of the trims. SE has a more basic headlight, SEL and Limited have slightly fancier headlights but none have fog lights. I'd imagine the slightly fancier setup is supposed to do a better job with illumination but overall these headlights are pretty average at best.
Ya the Electrify America app (for Electrify America charging stations only) shows location and status. Plugshare shows locations of chargers but not the status to my knowledge.
My understanding is that they are doing that so they can receive govt funding to help expand charging infrastructure. However they will need to build a new charger that will accommodate CCS (non Teslas). To my knowledge that hasn't happened yet, still in progress.
Not sure maybe they could do that, but I imagine Tesla would get more govt funding/grants to expand the charging network vs just throwing adapters on existing charging stations. My understanding is it's all about the grant/govt funding. Tesla should have little incentive to share their charging network when that's one of the main selling features. But if the government will pay for it, sure why not haha.
@@CarsJubilee Yea that makes sense but here in Texas where I live, there is a path to go back where I am originally from there are 2 Super Charger locations and no other chargers... otherwise I have to drive up through Oklahoma and around, reading on the chargers up there they seem to be hit or miss... If I could charge at the existing chargers it would open up my ability to take a normal trip back home... Expansion could be just adding additional taps... I am surprised that many gas stations are not getting in this early as it seems like it could end up being a major money maker in the future.
Another question that I have is when we unlock the car and notice it from the front of the car we see the small flaps open up at the bottom of the front bumper. Do you know if that is for aerodynamics or just for styling? It was pretty interesting though when I saw it the first time.
Like Shinukage said, it's mainly for cooling purposes. I just had it happen for the first time while I was charging a few days ago. The battery must have been at over optimal temp because I was finally pulling 150kW at a 150kW charger. So I saw the vents open and the car started making a much louder sound than I'm used to while it was charging, must have been the car trying to vent out the hot air. It may have some aerodynamics in play as well as the car dictates when to open or close.
@@CarsJubilee Got it. Makes sense. If I am right I think it happens every time we unlock the car because the vehicle was parked at the dealership lot and no one had operated it atleast for few hours when I arrived. When the sales rep turned on the car or not sure if he did the remote start I saw it opening. May be it's not when it was unlocked but just when the car was remote started. But need to check 🙂
Just got mine today and the car slammed on the brakes thinking someone was going to pull out a junction, switched that off straight away as a car nearly went in to the back of me , so check settings when you take order or learn like I did with your heart in your mouth .
Thanks for the very helpful tips Victor. My order for my Preferred AWD Long Range Ultimate was just pushed from a May 2022 production to July and again to October 2022 (which will make it 1 year since ordering) so I’m anxiously awaiting its production. I did have a question on wireless Apple car play /android auto adapters. I saw a video on another channel for a wireless adapter that plugs into the USB outlet and then you can connect wirelessly to it while keeping your phone closer, or on the wireless charging pad. Have you seen it tested any of these? I’d be interested in getting your feedback on it.
Oh no sorry to hear about that delay Eddy! Though I'm glad you're not one of the unfortunate people getting the dreaded 'order canceled' call from the dealer. I've heard that Canada is only getting 1000 Ioniq 5s (all trims combined) and that dealers essentially oversold since they didn't know until now. I haven't personally used any wireless adapter in any of my cars before for wireless android auto or carplay but I've heard a lot of mostly positive things about them though the 20-30 second load time sounds a bit long? The other thing then is where do you put your phone, maybe in the cup holders? I have a suction mount for my phone, I've noticed the car is so quiet inside that anything not really tied down will rattle which bothers me personally. So at that point if I'm docking my phone I don't mind plugging in for Android auto if I want it as that whole process may be faster than waiting for the adapter to load. But I can still see the benefits of just leaving your phone in your pockets etc and having android auto load automatically.
Ahh that makes sense (my phone case and phone ring prevent me from making use of the wireless charging pad) so completely forgot about that. Seems like it might be worth trying when you get your Ioniq 5 then, if you get it from somewhere with free returns you can trial it out and see if you want to keep it?
That blue level 3 shows the current regen braking level. The ioniq 5 has manual levels that you can toggle via the paddles to change how much regen braking you get when letting go of the accelerator pedal.
All good! This car has so many features, I'm still learning too haha. I did two videos on how I like to use them too: ruclips.net/video/kO3K0B6n5OY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/fGRgz0LrJpU/видео.html
It's normal to see that orange light on the dash light up on its own. The car still uses a regular 12v car battery to power some basic functions, any time that small battery starts running low it will ask for a charge from the BIG battery that powers the motors. So totally normal nothing to worry about. If you see that small orange light come on that's perfectly normal.
The head rest is not designed to be adjustable. It's meant to stay in the most rear position, so that during a crash it can deploy and reduce whiplash.
Hmm that's an interesting one. Per Hyundai's website it specifically calls out the limited trim and says it has an adjustable head rest for the driver. No other trim and no other headrest in the car is adjustable. The mechanism also works in reverse, if you want it in the most rearward setting you have to push it forward from behind (or pull it forward). So that force of your head pushing into it during an accident will not trigger it sliding into the other adjustable levels.
@@CarsJubilee If you ask the marketing team what it's for, they say comfort, I'm sure. They probably say that plastic fasteners are to keep the weight down 🤣
True, though the actual implementation everywhere is still going to take a while. Also Tesla tap will still be useful for level 2 Tesla destination chargers.
Made a lot of sense in February 2022 when it qualified for $7500 ev tax credit making it around $50k while a model y at the time was about $65k. Model y is not worth $15k more. Tables have turned now, model y is the cheaper car.

@@dannystaten5701 ahhh got it now it all makes sense. The waiting is the worst part as I have no patience haha but at least it will be worth the wait!
Thank you Victor. This is super helpful. Please continue to keep up your great work for the Ioniq 5 community.
Thank you and will do!
Just got mine today!!
Congrats!
great video ! Had no idea one could split the Apple CarPlay screen ! thanks !
You're welcome!
OH my gosh thank you for explaining what the little light was.
You're welcome! If you see it on that means it's working :)
Vincent, I just drove from central PA to Pittsburgh, and back, and saw not one Ioniq 5. However, I have seen two Kia EV6's in my little town.
I've also seen more EV6s on the road than I have Ioniq 5s. Weird haha
I tried those USB C adapters and they get really hot when using. I ended up tossing them since i was worried they were going to cause either a fire or electrical issues. I'd avoid them
Thanks for the tip!
This is why they are not allowed per USB IF guidelines
Tip #6 was a real Eye-opener!! Thanks!!!
So glad to hear that! This one really surprised me too as it seems a little counter-intuitive at first but afterwards I realized why the programmed it that way and it makes sense, you want to be able to engage both motors for max regen so without having a physical on/off button the i-pedal regen setting allows us to do that.
I definitely spent the first 1000 miles not knowing that until I started doing some testing with it =)
@@CarsJubilee So what situation is best to use the iPedal in? I can't see anyone traveling below 15 mph.
@@CarsJubilee Thanks buddy! I definitely found your video very helpful. Have a great weekend!
Glad I could help, you too!
Recommend storing extra window washer fluid in the frunk, there it is near the fluid tank 🙂
Also a very good tip!
Thats what I do! :)
Lol.. or just add some every 6 months in the garage like the rest of us!
Danke grüße aus Deutschland..toller Tip mit der Nackenstütze.

Good job. It has voice commands I have seen people turn heated steering and seats on and off
Thank you!! Ya I forgot to mention that so great point, I've been using the in car voice commands a lot while driving for seat heating, seat ventilation and heated steering wheel. Works very well and I'm still learning the vocab for other commands. I wish the google assistant integration could do seat heating etc.
@@CarsJubilee Speaking of voice commands, I have been trying to figure out voice command to set the temperature of the car itself but have been unsuccessful. Has anyone been able to do this?
@@alanwong2643 Unfortunately it seems like we aren't able to set the temp to an exact temperature using the voice command in the car, it will either set it to max heat or max cool temp.
tips? To put the window washers in an upright position?, turn off the engine, and then you have to press and hold the window washer switch for 2 seconds (down)
Oh wow did not know that! Thank you!
awesome tips! thanks for this amazing video! don't have my ev yet but one day!
You're welcome! Ioniq 5 is a good one to consider in the future!
thank you sooo much for this! the orange light freaked me out lmao
I love the car so much the dashboard is ok but the good outweighs the bad.
94% battery 300 miles very interesting range.
My car is ultimate trim single motor with heat pump
My max range on full battery is 265 miles
Ya I've seen a huge range amongst the owners. Your avg speed and driving conditions really make a huge difference.
I very rarely get up to true highway speeds. Mostly city driving and when I do get on the highway there's a good chance it's in slower moving traffic.
Love these videos!
As always thank you for the feedback, much appreciated!
Nice job Victor. All good info!
Thanks Peter! Any updates with the Ioniq 5 vs keeping your Model Y?
@@CarsJubilee ugh. Still on the fence. I was seconds away from buying the EV6 but decided against it. Now I’m debating between the I5 (again) and wrapping and upgrading the wheels on my MY. I’m very decisive as you can tell.
Oh wow ev6! Hah it's a tough decision!
I'll be visiting family in Los Angeles for about a week at the end of this month and have a model Y lined up as the rental. Looking forward to finally getting some seat time in it. Also, I have a deposit down for a gv60 which may actually come in within the next month or two. Not sure if that's on your radar? The premium interior and the performance model offer another great option to compete with the model Y if you are open to the exterior design of it.
@@CarsJubilee I saw a video of it and was impressed. Genesis makes really nice stuff. It did look small to me though. I would have to see it in person. I’m interested to see what your opinion of the MY. Good you’ll have it for a week. You need that much time to get acclimated to Teslas was if doing things.
@@peterfriedman3745 ya it's definitely smaller based on reviews and specs, I think 4 inches shorter. So probably not as practical but my gut tells me this is the one you want to be in as a driver.
I'll definitely follow up with a model Y video, hopefully I can fit it all into 1 video as I'm sure I'm going to have a lot to say about it.
Thanks so much for all of this!

Headrest tip is dope
Been watching your videos. A lot of helpful information! One thing I haven't been able to find out is.....what is the button on the far right of the infotainment system panel that has a "P" on it, that lights up, if pushed?
Thanks, glad it's been helpful! That should be for the parking sensors, to toggle them on or off.
Outstanding!
Thank you kindly!
Thanks for the video. If you use the V2L from inside the car, then it has to be on, right?
You're welcome, that's correct. When using V2L from inside the car the car must be on (though you can switch to utility mode).
If you use the V2L adapter through the charge port, then you can leave the car off.
@@CarsJubilee Thanks!
@@CarsJubilee ABRP requires a subscription to work with Android Auto or CarPlay, otherwise you just use it directly off the phone.
@@MihneaStoian Thanks for the clarification Mihnea, have you tried the subscription? I think I'm fine with leaving it running on my phone but curious if it runs well with AA for CP.
How was the first couple weeks? I'm thinking of getting the limited.

Do you have a 12v jump starter u recommend for ioniq5? Mine died last week and had to call roadside assistance to jump start it. The car was off so I am not sure why it happened
This is a newer version of one that I have:
amzn.to/3coOf5j
This brand probably has the best reviews but there stuff is more pricey:
amzn.to/3IGOuoh
Might be a bad 12v? Common culprits have been stuff left plugged into the obd2 port or the usb port (I think the wired android auto port might stay on) or using the bluelink app to open the charge port but there's also been some faulty batteries out there.
The rear seat V2L outlet requires the ignition to be on or in accessory position. the rear V2L does not.
Please bleep out when you say "ok Google" in your videos, otherwise you just set off everyone's Google home devices! LOL
Hahah YES I should have done that! It was doing it to my own phone when I was editing but that totally slipped my mind, sorrry!
It did on mine. The Google assistant was telling me that it's not connected to blue link. LOL
@@tfshum hahaha 😂 sorry! I clearly did not think that one through.
Gave this a like, but FYI audio level is very low. This would probably be good for music, but for this, more compression, and higher level, are probably appropriate.

Did you ever use the touch-up paint on the Shooting Star matte finish? Good results? I thought you couldn't touch up matte paint.
I ended up never having to use it. In small spots, I think it would look fine (as good as using it on regular finish car paint). In larger applications I think it would look a little mismatched.
Hello,
thanks for the video, very helpful tips.
@@CarsJubilee got it, thank you for the answer 👍🏼

Hello @carsJulbilee I wanted to know if I need to purchased a Level2 charging station and installed it in my Garage to get level2 charges or can I use my provided charger that came with my IONIC 5 and pull it into a 240 volt outlet and get level2 charge?
I don't think the Hyundai provided cable will work with your 240v outlet. The hard part of getting the 240v outlet is done so now you just need to buy a system that can plug directly into it.
woah ty
Is it possible to use cruise control without SCC?
At the moment I don't think so
Thanks. I feared not.
Thanks great info
Thank you!
@@CarsJubilee I put a deposit down on my 2023 Ioniq 5 Ltd today. Your videos have been very helpful!

Yes you can, I think you can actually use both simultaneously
@@CarsJubilee awesome! Thanks for answer.🙂
What is the purpose and advantage of using split screen on Android auto, mine hasn't arrived yet as you can tell lol.
All good, it's just personal preference I think. Some people are happy with having only Google maps running in android auto while others want to see Google maps and Spotify/other things at the same time so they don't have to flip between pages.
hey dude - why do you think im only getting 2.8 avg KWM or whatever that stat is? I did a trip recently and it went way down. Thx!
Could be a lot of different things. Checkout this one I did:
ruclips.net/video/ZrDcla7pg_o/видео.html
Stay out of ipedal regen above 15mph, stay near the speed limit, stay out of sport mode.
@@CarsJubilee hey man - real quick - I have the RWD Limited. Does the iPedal rule still stand? thx again
Hey Brian, since yours is RWD you can use ipedal as much as you want. There's no front motor you would have to worry about engaging.
I still do think if you were to switch levels manually and coast in level 0 when possible that you'd get better efficiency but it may not be that big of a difference.
THANKS!!!!
You're welcome!
I feel like mine in the US is already pretty slow and laggy, so if yours is worse then it's probably pretty unusable :(
I hope Hyundai works on updating them for all markets!
Do any of the trims have fog lights?
Which trim would be best in fog?
I'm not sure about the other markets but the US market doesn't have any fog lights on any of the trims.
SE has a more basic headlight, SEL and Limited have slightly fancier headlights but none have fog lights. I'd imagine the slightly fancier setup is supposed to do a better job with illumination but overall these headlights are pretty average at best.
@@CarsJubilee Thanks. Very helpful!
@@CarsJubilee I wonder if front fog lights could be added.
Is there an app that tells you if the chargers are working and available (in addition to where they are)?
Ya the Electrify America app (for Electrify America charging stations only) shows location and status.
Plugshare shows locations of chargers but not the status to my knowledge.
Could you do a short video on things to check before you take your car home? First ev jw!
Sure thing, that's a great idea!
Anyone know if Siri also integrates with Blue link?
Not positive but worth a try. It's honestly pretty spotty with my Google assistant.
@@CarsJubilee whenever they decide to deliver my car I'll let the internet know😂😂😂😬😭😭😭
Haha sounds good!
the horn is hard to honk. does anyone else have that problem? compare the force required to honk vs the force for anything else to work.
I thought Tesla had opened up its super charger locations for other cars as long as they had an adapter? Is this not the case?
My understanding is that they are doing that so they can receive govt funding to help expand charging infrastructure.
However they will need to build a new charger that will accommodate CCS (non Teslas). To my knowledge that hasn't happened yet, still in progress.
@@CarsJubilee Why couldnt it work with an adapter?
It cools your ac
@@shinukage8573 thank you 👌
Like Shinukage said, it's mainly for cooling purposes.
Isn't that for battery cooling?
nice
Thanks
Is the passenger headrest adjustable too? We test drove a basic trim and the headrest really bugged my wife.
Unfortunately no, only driver side and only limited trim top spec in the US. Maybe try a neck pillow? Mine works pretty well and came as a set of two.
Canada has the 12 volt battery
How long does it take to charge??
20-30 minutes if you are DC fast charging from around 20% back up to 80%. 20 min warm weather and 30 min in colder weather.
Just got mine today and the car slammed on the brakes thinking someone was going to pull out a junction, switched that off straight away as a car nearly went in to the back of me , so check settings when you take order or learn like I did with your heart in your mouth .
Oh has it happened again since then? Possibly faulty sensors?
@@CarsJubilee I’d probably leave my phone on the console on the wireless charging pad
Ahh that makes sense (my phone case and phone ring prevent me from making use of the wireless charging pad) so completely forgot about that. Seems like it might be worth trying when you get your Ioniq 5 then, if you get it from somewhere with free returns you can trial it out and see if you want to keep it?
If you hold down the unlock button on the key FOB , it will roll down your windows also.
Ahhh yes that's a great one that I forgot about!
What is the blue electric level 3 mean?
That blue level 3 shows the current regen braking level. The ioniq 5 has manual levels that you can toggle via the paddles to change how much regen braking you get when letting go of the accelerator pedal.
@@CarsJubilee lol so I HAVE an IONIQ and didn't know it had levels till I watched your video

I don't understand what u mean with the battery are u saying to tryn the car off fully within the first weeks.
How do you fix that.
They probably say that plastic fasteners are to keep the weight down 🤣
The tesla tap is a bit redundant now tesla is opening up there charging stations to non tesla cars
True, though the actual implementation everywhere is still going to take a while.
Also Tesla tap will still be useful for level 2 Tesla destination chargers.
Here is the best tip you can get. Sell it as long as you can.
OMG, Almost Over $55k for that Hyundai? Why would you not buy a Tesla for less. Does not make sense....
Made a lot of sense in February 2022 when it qualified for $7500 ev tax credit making it around $50k while a model y at the time was about $65k.
Model y is not worth $15k more. Tables have turned now, model y is the cheaper car.
@@CarsJubileeAre you kidding, the Hyundai's are bricking because the 12 volt battery issue, the app almost never works and it will never self drive. Also, when Hyundai changes their battery in a few years just try to get it fixed.
Haha well even Elon doesn't think the model y is a $65k car because he's currently selling for $50k.
Not bashing the Y, I actually really like it but at the time I bought my ioniq 5 it simply was not on our shopping list because of price. It's on our shopping list now :)
