New diesel owner here. Just bought a 2017 ram 2500. Didnt even know what a furl filter was lol. Great job explaining how to change those it helped me out tremendously and saved me a shit pile of money! Thanks man!
Outstanding. I watched a couple other decent videos but they didn't tell me how to unclip the sensor. I know how to do most mechanical things but not electrical and electronics so I don't have these sensors all come apart. I really appreciate you taking the extra seconds to include that it's exactly what I needed. Have a blessed day brother
Over 400 bucks for an oil change and filters. It was my first time changing the filters and oil on my 2014 MEGA Cab. I suggest using a piece of tubing for the filters, less mess! Good information and very helpful. 👍
Thank you, I will do mine as from today. I saw a message on dashboard says, replace fuel filters, so I saw your video and it was clear and helpful. Thank you Thank you
Very accurate video but you did make unscrewing look super easy than it is! THANK YOU for the Amazon heads up on filters because I'm headed to napa to pay 100 dollars for the rear filter. Thank you thank you!! And it's INSANE how much the dealership charges!!!
Good video. Thanks for showing people how easy this service is. I buy from Geno's Garage all the time. Even if it takes a beginner an hour, that's still better then $450 bucks from the dealership. This is nuts how easy this is. Yet people are afraid to tackle this on their own. The crankcase filter is a beyond easy filter to change as well. Oil filter is a bit of a pain in the but sometimes. Again, thanks dude. Have a great day.
Thank you! And yes such a simple job, that anyone with just a basic idea of how tools work can do this and save a bunch of money! For the oil filter there is a cap that you can buy on Amazon to plug the oil filter so you can remove it sideways without any spills! Thanks for watching
Also, make sure you keep all receipts and write down in your service log when and what you have changed. That way your factory warranty is still in effect if they try and say you have nothing on record and try to wiggle out of replacing something that is wrong (covered under warranty) with your vehicle
Big money savings for an easy job. Owners: Replace that CCV crankcase vent filter yourselves, it's super easy! Self oil-change, self CCV change, self fuel-filters saves thousands of dollars and all are very easy to do with simple socket set and maybe a filter wrench. The CCV filter is critical!
Ram dealer in phx quoted me $674 to change the air, cabin and fuel filers yesterday... 11/24/20. Ridiculous! And told me Ram wont warranty my fuel system unless i use Mopar filters.
What in the world do they think we are? A bunch of dummies that will just fork up any $ amount for such simple repairs. I can't even imagine what a major repair would cost.
Dealer wanted $440.00 to replace both fuel filters and another $460.00 to replace the Crank Breather filter; any knucklehead can do these replacements themselvves and save $$$$$$$$$$$ mucho Dinero!!!
@@denrock75only because the last guy probably overnighted it or didn’t lube the o ring. I have a 28 mm socked made for the 9:44 Cummins front fuel filter. Fits just right. There are a ton of Cummins powered Rams out there and I just don’t see the complaints of this cap being a problem. Or maybe they don’t want to share their misfortune. If all else fails you can install a Aftermarket Cat filter and housing that will provide better filtration.
Just getting ready to do the fuel filter on my 2014 RAM 3500 and now you're a life saver and money saver.

Great information! I have to say I’m guilty of not recording all services done myself
Thx man. Straightforward, no blathering on about this and this and that. Much appreciated bro 🙌✝️🤙🤙

Best filter change video for these honestly!
Yeap
Thanks so much. the way you explained it in your video makes me more confident doing it myself.
Very nice job. You make it look easy! Any other work you do, film it if you can!
Fill those filters with diesel prior to installing them to reduce the filter bleeding time. also do the same for the oil filter.
Great video with easy to understand instructions.
Zip loc bag under the filter when you open the drain valve as well as taking the filter off.
Bad ass looking ride man I have a 2018 SLT Dodge Ram Cummins 6.7 I love it
Thanks bud! I love this truck. It never gets old to drive, it's like the first time driving it everytime

@@LifeTac they quoted $19,000 for a new fuel system and said they had done a dozen this year that where not covered. Scum bags!

So after changing, my truck starts then dies a few seconds after I have a qtr tank gas...should that matter?

vchanging 2018 engine air filter 2500 turbo diesel
👌👌
Will work on 3500 too?
Yes exact same motor
Nice.. 👍👍
My truck doesn’t turn on after this what can I do
You have to cycle the fuel pump without turning on the truck. So without pressing the brakes. Turn the ignition on and then off about 10 times
@@LifeTac okay figured it out thanks

Yes. Fuck this video, I stripped the cap on the engine mounted filter using 1-1/8 inch socket.
