    Wish your camera picked up that clip! Mine is mounded on top of whatever it is and I can't get to that clip. Yep, pisses me off. And the drain isn't draining. Got the hood filter changed fine. Maybe needle nose will get that rear clamp, but it sure is difficult laying on the driveway.

    • @semlohde1
      @semlohde1 Год назад

      I'll reply to myself!! I'm 74, left shoulder replacement 2 months ago, and I'm crawling under my Ram 2500. Ha cha!! Needle nose got that sucker clamp! Just pinched it and it slid off. As for the draining, when I broke the filter loose and some air got in, it drained down the canister, but also oit of the drain. I'd already taken the tube off so it drained to the driveshaft and I caught most in a big rubber drain pan. I got the sensor off easily, new rubber seals oiled, I found to get it to screw on needed a good push and screw it on. To have this on a rack to reach it easier, the dealers charging $200 for labor is way out of reason. Thanks for your video, and others making these videos, to show just try and hopefully take your time and you can do this. I ache, but the front filter was easy, once I wiggled in and figured out the rear latch, and the drain needed the canister seal cracked, it wasn't hard. Just a fat old man doesn't wiggle on the driveway. Test drive showed no leaks. 2018 RAM 2500 has 11,262 miles- my drive way princess..

    Hi, How is it that with a 2018 you don't have a push button start?

    Yea I’m getting ready to buy my dads 2018 gmc 2500. So I can rv transport, and so far I’ve ordered a front skid plate and lower tie rod end. There’s a leak coming from the oil filter I’ll find out what’s going on there as soon as I can get new oil and filters. My dad would just take it anywhere to get serviced so I don’t know WHO busted the boot for the tie rod end. Or what happened to the skid plate looks like the front bolts holding it on got over tightened bout idk

    Very helpful video. I went with Docs Diesel filters and think I spent under 150 bucks for everything. Took me 15 minutes and saved 300 dollars vs having a shop do it. I do have a question though...where the heck did you find a 28mm swivel socket? I can't find one anywhere. Even online. Thanks!

    Simple filter changes on the Cummins. On the 07.5 duramax you have to remove the fender liner. What a PITA to change a filter.

    • @mr.tennessee

    I have a 2012 duramax with the same style water sensor. The wires going to it are so small I think they only last a few filter changes before they break.
    Have you considered filling the bottom filter before installing it and rubbing diesel on the O rings. I'm lucky I have diesel on hand so I always fill the filter first.
    Your truck looks great with those rims and tires.

    • @mr.tennessee
      @mr.tennessee  2 года назад

      Thanks I like the look a lot. I don’t because I prime it. But it might help to put some in it next time. I’ll try it out. My water sensor has lasted. I got 260,000 on the truck and only had to put one on. Thanks for watching and the information. Be safe

    Great video Mr. Tennessee. I watch a lot of C. Farmers videos and have seen a lot of roadside repairs that he’s had to do to his Silverado. Would you say that you’ve had to deal with an equal number of roadside repairs, and what kind of scan tool do you recommend keeping with you to do your own repairs? Like when those trucks give you the limp mode DEF or DPF warning, is there a scan tool or tuner that can clear it or force a regen and keep you moving? I’m just trying to figure out which make Chevy/Ram is going to be easier to fix when it comes to the diagnostic/bidirectional (coding fuel injectors) and Changing out control modules that require programming? Thanks in advance for any and all your knowledge sir!

Sorry took so long to get back been under the weather and on vacation.
