I have 2021 ram 3500 dually diesel
Im not sure if 2021 are the same, but it might be similar. I’m fixing to change my 2020 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel and I will see if it’s the same process
There's no g in Cummins. They are not Dodge Ram anymore! It's just Ram Trucks. They split off in 2009, so you really ought to catch up!
Thanks for the history class
Thanks Larry. Appreciate your video.

Great Video! Word of warning though,, I believe the forward filter you showed in the video is incorrect. MF608. I recently purchased a 2015 truck with about 80k miles. I changed my filter following this filter number. Big mistake! It worked for a couple of days, then I received the dreaded low fuel pressure error codes. Not thinking it would be a filter issue, I started chasing parts, I ended up changing lift pump, and a sensor (all in about $600). The lift pump required dropping tank or removing bed. Both labor intensive jobs. After hours of troubleshooting, I determined that the fuel filter was the culprit. I believe the MF 608 is good on single filter applications (2012 and before). The reason being is it has a membrane inside the filter that acts as the fuel water separator. The correct filter 68157291AA has no membrane and allows the fuel to flow freely. Once I changed out the filter to the correct one, it has been trouble free! Since my truck (like yours) has a separate water separator at the rear of the truck, the rear filter handles the task of water separation.
Thanks appreciate the information
Thanks for the post. I don't know how you did this job while you were shooting the video....LOL. I could not get the cap off of the primary (engine compartment) fuel filter using the 1 1/8" socket. I ended up buying & using a big filter wrench (Autozone $16) (the one with the rubber belt) to fit around the cap. I also used it to get the back filter off. Your directions were spot on. Thanks again. Scott

Just curious but does the fuel filter cause the check engine signal?
It would have to be plugged up pretty bad for it to throw that signal..but it is possible...when the engine does not get the proper amount of fuel..it will trigger all kinds of other false reading to computer in vehicle..making it behave erratically
Will cause ugly problems quick. Very important to change these often. I go about 10k and change.
Thanks for posting this video. I recently bought a truck just like the one you had in this video.
Glad I could help. Appreciate the comment
Thank you. I also have a 2015. Your video was very helpful

Is that similar?
Not sure, I’m fixing to change mine and n my 2020, lets see how it compares to the 2015
25 minutes of blah blah blah and only 5 minutes of helpful information.
I don't believe anyone was making you watch it...but I do the best I can to help others..In this world it is very difficult to do that
Just ignore your critics ! They don’t appreciate the help your providing is not worth responding..
@@stevenevosando8840 Yes I know..I also know I am not a professional at video's and do the best I can...just trying to help whoever I can out. Thank You. Appreciate the comment
Like my grandmother always said...if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.
@@davidgarrett4207 I agree and thanks for your comment. I can't help that the video does not make everyone happy, and do the best with what I have under the circumstances. especially at my age..I guess that is just society..thanks again
