Iso didnt work for me. Left stick wasnt even registering up and the right stick had constant upward drag. Eventually I considered the controller trash. I'm not gonna solder anything. So in a last ditch effort I just applied a lot of inward pressure on the bar that controls the Y axis. AND IT WORKED! lol sometime ya just gotta manually calibrate it with a slap.
I think I might need to buy an actual xbox controller next time. I've gone through a few of the Logitech F710 controllers now which seem to suffer stick button failure first, but the drift is an additional issue on top of that. They have very rounded bases under the sticks though, which would prevent me from really getting in there with a cotton swab so I would end up having to disassemble it anyway.
When is the tutorial on the stick tension springs coming i wanna know how to get 0 deadzones and have no stick drift every brand new controller i buy has at least a .04 deadzone of drift and as a competitive ranked player i want to have 0 or .01 deadzone for faster response time. can u make this video please. also does the ps4 controller overclock to 1ms or only the ps5. @Gamer Heaven
Hey Kevin, if I keep constantly doing the easy method with my 91% isopropyl alcohol and qtips daily or even every other day to keep on trying to prevent my bad stick drift as much as possible.. would you say it is too much/too often? and would it be harmful at all to my controller? (I have an XboxElite version 1 White “Limited Edition” btw lol)
I have a fairly new controller that i got in july 2022 so do you think this could still help i take care of my stuff so idk cuz i accidentally dropped it this morning and when i went to play it was drifting

bro, i have the same one, and all i did was take the case off and use the cotton picks to clean it a little, and now it works fine, i would just say every couple days clean it and you should be fine
nathjones2011 I searched about for what could be used and it says if it doesn’t have acetone(I think that’s what it’s called) in then it should be okay.
i have the alkohol it took like 2 weeks to arrive and I did that so many times now it still doesnt work so instead of reapiring my old one I paid for a scuf controller xddd

sadly it is just you have too open the controller and solder off the stick and add in new one it is the true way too fix drift
