Just to make something clear this is not saying a controller is a better aiming tool than a mouse. I mention near the end the mouse is inherently a better aiming tool because you have 8-12 inches of aim control with a full size mouse pad, as opposed to 3/4" however the key take away from this video is getting the benefits of aim assist and controller comfort with the PC gaming perks. Have fun gaming Stallions and Stallionettes.
In FPS, I have no issue with the mouse as a controller, but the keyboard is a struggle, especially in a competitive environment. Any keys beyond W,A,S,D and Space Bar are strenuous.
Honestly, Steam Controller or Dualsense + Steam Input or reWASD + Gyro aiming is by far my favorite way to play games currently, especially since I tend to mod my controllers heavily, too (I don't care if somebody considers this cheating, I don't play competitive games anyway.)
As a mostly RPG player on PC the controller is the only way to play. Its WAAAAY more comfortable so you can play for much longer without getting claw hand. I'm still rocking an xbox 360 controller ftw
100Hz monitor can very difficultly give you back 100FPS even with a good enough PC, this is due to the fact that synchronization it's not perfect between the graphic card and the PC, basically if a frame is changed too late the screen will print up the last frame that has been sent. For best performance you want roughly to double the refresh rate of your screen respect to the maximum FPS your machine can pull, So if you can pull 60FPS you would need around 120 Hz to lose the least fps in the communication
I’ve been playing with controller on PC for a while now. I use a Flydigi Apex 2 which honestly has been outstanding with the 4 back buttons and tons of customization, but as I am updating my system I am considering a new controller but not sure what to go with. I am concerned trying to find one that is actually better than what I have. Have you ever tried the Flydigi Apex 2? Do you have any suggestions for best PC controller with 4 mappable rear buttons and trigger stops?
Look into the PowerA controllers if for whatever reason you haven’t gotten a new controller in the year since you posted this hahah PowerA really has some great products for super reasonable prices! The only thing that may be a con for you.. their trigger stops are sort of sub par but they work! It’s really the only con I have
An interesting video would be to play a new to you shooter or mmo with both a mouse and game pad. I’ve seen people play games with the opposite and it’s usually hard but I feel only because of the time put in.
Playing Elder Scrolls Online with a controller on PC is really fun it is practically the only way I can play PC because my day job has me using the nouse so much.
If I entered the PC world this is probably how I’d go. I feel my gaming skillz would go down 700% if I tried mastering all the quick noise skillz and all the button presses
I still would use a mouse for aiming in competitive games because of habits, but for solo games or whatever, I would use gyro anyday. It's just so great, I wish controllers would use that more. There's one in the dualsense but people don't care and microsoft just forgot about it. There's only Nintendo who's using it which is weird. With gyro you don't need aim assist anymore and crossplay wouldn't cause any problem
Your whole arm, wrist, and hand have more control than your thumbs. It goes beyond what the interface devise is; the human anatomy grants mice a higher skill ceiling than a controller.
I use the Xbox elite series 2 with it overclocked but it’s locked like you’ve said in some of your other videos so it doesn’t have the .1ms response time. What controller do you think is the number 1 controller? I want to have the fastest response time with paddles like the elite series 2 has.
For me at least, any game where you need to point and shoot, I use a mouse but for platformers and 3rd person games like dark souls, it's dualsense all the way
"The only reason aim assist exists is to give controller players a fighting chance vs MnK players" THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE ONE. Just saying. The pinto shouldn't have a "fighting chance" vs the Lambo. Controller players are the participation trophy people of gaming.
He bro. What you know about steel series headsets? I got the arctis pro with gamedac about three four days ago. Just ordered the nova pro because the support the ps5 tempest 3d audio. Probably going to return the arctis pros. Had been using the hyper x cloud orbit s. Let you know how it pans out. Pans like left to right 😂😂😂🤣🤣. Djd most of my life for living.
Thanks for the video and rational take in mouse vs controller. The advantages MnK have are so much but just bc you get aim assist with controller it all flies out the window, and they turn in to whiney little children and can't come up with any rational defense or argument for their points except we don't have aim assist even though they get to use more space and their fingers, hands, wrists, arms and shoulders to aim and control while all you have for a controller are your thumbs. And yeah over clocking your controller and whatnot is cheating.. just leave it as it is. If you're good than you're good don't cheat yourself by modding your controller (just my 2 cents)
You're either a controller player or not, i mean maybe it comes down to certain games for some people but controller players play controller because they are better with aim assist than without it on a mouse and keyboard.
Wow I was thinking on getting a pc but Jesus they are so expensive I was checking at decent ones and they are like 3000$ and I can’t spend that kind of money right now 😩😩
RTX 2060+I7 3770K+16 GB DDR3 1600mhz ram. The only expensive thing is the graphics card, everything else is cheap! The 3770K works good and is cheap af.
@@GamerHeavenOfficial hell nah they do. Just saying. A lot of big streamers have become rich using a controller on pc. They use the Cronus, ds4 etc. digging this aim controller with the long sticks. No freeks jus the tall ones.
@@LiIPissBaby I know that but all the capabilities on a pc, you could never get with M&K on console. Trust I play siege I definitely know about the M&K on console shit kills the fun!

I have about 2 feet of space for my mouse

I will use a controller for fighting games mostly but an arcade stick is more fast when it comes to combos

Ps5 scuf
What chair is that?

Sounds like Kevin needs to try a Steam Controller. Analog movement and trackpad/gyro based mouse aim on one device.
I have 2 in my possession , review coming shortly

Thanks man
What about aim-assist before controller players could play against keyboard/mouse players?
Would it be fair to say using a keyboard and mouse takes more skill to play FPS games then a controller?

if minimizing lag and/or input delay is cheating than lets all just play locked to 30fps with 100 ping lol
That last point is so trollish lol
good video
i love using mouse on my xbox, i can’t wait to get a pc so i can use mouse on every game. Cant wait to throw my controller😁
So strange watching a guy watching himself
and you could cheat .like a cheater on heat mate lol
Yep alot of hackers on PC. Ruining games. So is over clocking your controller, cheating. Pros don't cuz they can't for esports tourneys
After switching from console+controller (15+ years) to PC+M&K, controller just feels gross and clunky. Can't use it anymore.
You're either a controller player or not, i mean maybe it comes down to certain games for some people but controller players play controller because they are better with aim assist than without it on a mouse and keyboard.
I you want to go pro , go kbm
There are professional keyboard and mouse players and controller players. A lot of time they play/stream together
