I was born and raised in the Pensacola area. I've lived in Tampa for the last 8 years. There is a significant difference in the humidity, Tampa is quite a bit more humid . I've experienced Frost in Pensacola many many times not in Tampa. The traffic between anywhere in the Florida panhandle compared to Tampa and Central Florida it's completely different. A 45-minute drive to Orlando can easily take 4 hours. A 20-minute drive from Tampa to St Pete can easily take an hour and a half. The culture in Tampa Bay is more inclusive open and friendly. The culture in Pensacola and the panhandle is extremely relaxed and heavily opinionated. I personally love Tampa and call it home but I am considering moving home for a little while to Pensacola.

I'm moving from Vegas to Tampa for work. Was contacted to move to Pensacola today, but I'm still going with Tampa!

Thank you for watching! Honestly it’s all preference. Someone who is still wanting to keep the big city amenities would definitely prefer somewhere like Tampa. For us personally we wanted a smaller town to raise our kids.

@@EmeraldCoastReloTeam I have to choose Tampa for my career, otherwise I probably would go with Pensacola. I prefer small cities. Vegas is a nightlife city, and I dislike very much. Tampa wasn’t in the nightlife category so hopefully it’s more calm, and people aren’t worried about image as much etc.

Natural gas is most expensive in Pensacola

We have noticed utilities are more expensive here than in Colorado. But there are many other factors which are cheaper

Great video. I moved from San Diego to Pensacola last year (home office) and decided to buy in Pensacola over Tampa because of the small town vibe. I felt like if I bought it Tampa, it’d be San Diego 2.0. I wanted a different vibe. I own homes in both cities.

Thank you for the comment. We just made a trip to our property outside Tampa last week and couldn’t be happier we chose the Pensacola area.

What about water quality? I read Pensacola's tap water was tested and ranked worst in the country. I'm deciding between these 2 cities and noticed that

Thank you for watching! We will definitely dive into the water quality. I can say from personal experience the water has tasted better and doesn’t seem to have the same chemical smell as where we came from. But that’s not necessarily scientific so we’ll poke around.

Tampa would be good for anyone looking for a big city. Otherwise it’s like comparing apples and oranges…
