Hello Juan, my wife and I bought a nice little condo in Dunedin in 2012. we were staying at a Hotel in Clearwater beach . As Canadians from Toronto we were curious to see the Jays stadium and that’s when we fell in love with Dunedin. Now we’re snowbirds and as you said we love the winters there but summer is way too hot for us. Great video you nailed it. Keep up the good work! Cheers
Dunedin is our hometown. Great community great eats loads of events. Safety Harbor is also great for day trip. Big happenings in St Pete with new Tropicana Field. This area is amazing. I love the small town feel of dunedin. The pinellas trail is amazing. Caledesi island so beautiful. I love taking art classes at our dunedin fine arts center. Thanks for your highlights.
Like you, we fell in love with Dunedin some years back and tried to relocate to there. Weren't successful, and ended up in St. Pete (which we're very happy in). But we still go up there quite often to eat and just hang out. Very friendly place.
Excellent. I live in Palm Harbor, the next town(?) up. Everything you say is right on point. It's a great place! Thank you for this enthusiastic review!
Benn thinking of moving to Tampa area for quite some time from boring Kansas City. And then we saw your videos and now we are definitely moving. Sun City Centrr has caught our attention since it offers nice houses at a fair price. What are your thoughts. $350k-$400k is our price range. Thank you!!!
Definitely some affordable options in Sun City. Feel free to call, text, or email if you want to talk further. But the best way to connect is via Zoom. I prefer Hallandale Beach Florida beautiful beaches and restaurants and Gulf Stream Park Horse racing track, it’s the biggest in Florida, and Pegasus And Dragon Statue it’s the third biggest statue in the United States, Atlantic Village beautiful shopping mall and full with restaurants and nightlife, Big Easy Casino the second biggest casino in Florida, and your in the city that’s in between everything in south Florida, my favorite city in Florida perfect location.
Great video Juan thank you! My biggest concern about moving to FL is the summer heat. I have a four year old, and I would need her to go to summer camps due to my work. How do kids handle the heat in the summer? It seems crazy to me to think that my kid would be out in the heat for several hours each day in July and August. In case you have kids, any insight?
Hey Juan! Excellent videos about moving to Florida. Although my wife and I are a few years from moving, we find your videos very informative. They’ve been helping us with budgeting and getting a feel for what it is like living there. We have been visiting different cities along the Gulf Coast for over 30 years. We have decided to move inland a bit to Parrish Florida. Great up and coming area. Our 3 older children already live near the Parrish area. The Gulf Coast is such a beautiful area, we look forward to living near it in the future. Thank you for these videos and sharing your life experiences. Keep up the great work! 😊
Parrish is a great area. We've been moving a lot of clients there recently. Up and coming is spot on. Feel free to reach out when the time comes. I’m happy to help.
Hello Juan, your videos and another channel is why my wife and I decided to move to Tampa later this year (after kids get out of school). Thank you so much for these videos and please keep it up!
I have a fully furnished rental available April 1st in Dunedin right on the water of St. Joseph sound, across from Honeymoon Island, behind Coastal Church, aka Kirk Church. Two bedrooms, two and a half baths. It’s on airbnb. Please help me rent it out! $2,000 per month!

I am very interested in this area because it's close to Clearwater, and St Pete ( I think) but away from the extra business. I'm in Long Beach, NY. The only thing is I noticed while looking on Realtor that there aren't many homes on the market, and the ones that are seem old or in need of updates/renovations. I'm thinking our price range isn't going to find us what we want. :( I have been looking in Vero Beach (opposite coast, I know) and Tradition, but I don't know if it will be boring, or have the shopping, restaurants, etc. that we are accustomed to. Any thoughts about these things? Thank you so much.
I ❤❤❤ to live in Clearwater Florida because I ❤ the Beach and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium where I like to work in the future because of Dolphin Tale movies since then I always want to live in Clearwater Florida
How well do Floridians accept foreigners moving to Florida? Like me a Dutchman? If I would move to Tampa, do people still give you weird looks or something? If you understand what I mean XD
I can only speak to my personal experience and what my clients have shared with me. We personally have found this to be a very welcoming community. It feels like 8/10 people aren't originally from here and are going through, just went through, or made the move 10+ years ago. Because of that, they are very understanding and have been awesome! Hope that helps!
My hometown is Birmingham, Michigan. Please tell me Dunedin doesn't have a bunch of idiots posing as they drive around town in their Bentleys and Rovers. Yick
What makes Dunedin a pain in the butt is US 19, which you have to cross to get out of. US 19 is a urban nightmare (ugly too). Unless you work locally and can avoid US 19. This road is a nightmare of ugly . Check it out before you listen to this. I lived in Ozona (Palm Harbor) just north of Dunedin in the 1990's and US 19 was a nightmare then along with Alternate US 19. Dunedin was a elderly area with incredible traffic. This dude is pushing real estate . Don't believe this just because there has not been a direct hurricane hit doesn't mean that tropical storms are not raising the price of insurance . 2017 : Irma, 2022 Ian, 2023 Idalia, 2024 Debby...yes so far one this year. All of these tropical storms had massive claims for damage even if no direct hit with a wall eye. The insurance companies are watching. And they are raising the prices and will continue. I am not negative but I know what is going on and I don't want to sell you a house like this dude. Dunedin is cool but its a bad move for most. Hurricane threat and US 19. US 19 is the height of ugly and road warrior it is not Dunedin or Palm Harbor (including Honeymoon Island) it is to the east /
I appreciate you appreciating my hometown, but people who grew up in Dunedin are getting priced out by transplants. Almost nobody I grew up with can afford to live here anymore. My rent has gone up nearly 50% in 4 years. People from Dunedin love this place and don't want to leave, but they have no choice, and then they're getting replaced by people out of state watching your videos more willing to pay the higher prices to live In our old houses and apartments. There is also a special unique weirdness about Dunedin that is becoming rarer as new people who don't get or jive with our local culture move in. Please please please stop moving here.

My cousin from long island, she lives in dunedin. She loves it. She thinks I need a psychological evaluation for still living on long island 😉

I just came here to say I ❤ Dunedin!
Me too!
Me too but doesn't mean everyone need to know and come here. That is what will ruin it.

Dunedin, a small fishing town with a drinking problem. Love it here.
Lol. 😎
Informative. I notice going a little inland you can find very reasonable houses in the Land 'o Lake areas. How is that area? Thank you.
Good question! Land O Lakes has great schools and is defiantly worth looking at.
@@trulivingtampa This Spring I'll have to drive thru your area and check the neighborhoods out. Thank you.

Great video! Wish I could move now and not have to wait until retirement! Dunedin will be my next home!
Hopefully retirement is coming soon!

I love Dunedin!... I live just a few miles away in Tarpon Springs.
Yes it is!
I love Tarpon Springs
I was right across from the Beso Del Sol which is on Alt 19 near Pasadena Drive. Miss it.

We chose the West Coast because of that reason. Way more to do and nicer beaches.
How is the job market??
Tampa ranks #2 nation wide. wallethub.com/edu/best-cities-for-jobs/2173
Indian Rocks beach was my target.
We love it here.
Love that place; it's just so expensive to purchase

No issues. Lots of internationals in the TB area.

I think the best place to live in Florida is: outside of Florida
Wow so clever. Hope you’re happy wherever you live and i hope its not in Florida 🌞
If living amongst hordes of tourists 24 hours a day is your thing, sure, this makes sense. Hard pass for me
Its definatley not for everyone.
Florida costal cites are all over populated! Commuting to work is a nightmare!
