  • Hello and welcome to The Everything is Black and White Podcast.
Andrew and John are back, and this week their focus is on Joe Willock.
It's a huge season for the former Arsenal man - but can he get back to his best?

Willock does have injury issues but if he can come back fit and sturdy then he has special qualities above most - pace, goals and he can unlock the door with a pass.

Thanks for watching, Stuart. Andrew here! I agree with you. If Joe can overcome the injuries of last season, we've got quite the player.

Willock had repeated hamstring injuries an the repeated achiiles injuries. The repeats susggest we tried to get him back up to speed too fast not once but twice. Typical of are cavalier attitude rushing players back last season.

Definitely, and I suspect why at the end of the season they didn’t try to bring him back for the last few games.

Fingers crossed this time around, he's back for good.

I think willock was arguably our best midfielder in the 4th place season. Had he not got that injury at the end it the season he would have got an England cap.

2 words that sum up Willock's ability and how much we need him.
    Willock's pass.

Injuries😮FFP😮Player sales😮oh the joys😂We need squad depth to make sure next season does not repeat so a new winger who can double up as a midfielder…MGW from Forest fits that?

It’s just his injuries lads but his quality when fit is never in doubt

Hmmm. Never thought of Willock purple patch.
Don't get me wrong, when the lad's on form he's electric! But that says enough (to me). 'When' he's on form. Not consistently, nor his fitness.
Hope to hell he is not injured next season!

He was overplayed and bought back too soon. Musgrove is talking rubbish. Selling a senior player and why again?

Willocks talent is worthless if he’s on the bench injured. A less talented but uninjured player is worth more than an oft injured but more talented player

We should be looking forward to next season...ffp has ruined it...fed up with talking about it and panicking who will still be at club next season😢

We share your frustrations, Paul. Thankfully, the sales of Minteh and Anderson means United aren't in a position where they NEED to sell.

    I would sell him
