Thank you - super helpful. Those DVD screws will crack the chassis so easy. This is one of Dell's worst chassis builds but you get what you pay for with laptops (usually)....
Thank you! Would not have been able to pull my laptop apart properly and install an SSD (Solid State Drive) without this. Saw several videos on this, and this was the most clear one I viewed. The ribbon cables are the trick and you showed enough info for me to figure that out. The others did not. Coulda easily wrecked a connector or ribbon cable without this.
Nice straight-forward video. Its always nice when someone else can figure out where all the pesky screws are on the laptops - and I totally agree - the hard drive placement is ridiculous.

You know that part at 7:30 where you're like "clumsy me I forgot to remove the screws from the DVD drive" clumsy me ripped it off before I saw that little tidbit of useful info XD

installed my ssd, only to find out that windows server 2016 wont boot without uefi 😑

Wow accessing the HDD looks like a work around, good thing I'm going to apply new thermal paste while I'm at a SDD upgrade

Hi the hard drive can be any size or RPM speed. So it can be from a 60g to 1000g but it needs to be SATA.
