Ms. Carolina this video was so refreshing and came to my life in a time when I need it the most. I feel so much shame for my science grades, because they don't reflect my passion for healthcare...especially because I had to take them online. I am so grateful to hear your experience! Congrats on the interview, que todo salga bien!
What a beautiful soul you are 🥹❤ Thank you so much for this video! I am starting in April at west coast and I am a bit anxious but it’s videos like these that give me hope and the courage to go for it!!! Thank you for sharing your experience!!!!!
It really sucks that California is so impacted :/ I had a 4.0 gpa and got an 86 on my TEAS and still felt so scared to apply my next choice was gonna be WCU but thankfully I got accepted to my local cc. The entire program is 3,400 I’m super grateful😭 I was ready to pay 100,000+
Wow! You’re so lucky and congratulations! I also have a 4.0 and 82 on the teas + cna experience and got rejected at 4 LA cc + got alternate at 2! I’m starting at WCU in JAN! RIP to me lol
Thank you so much for this video on WCU and your experience! I also didn’t have the GPA for an ADN program at CCs or Cal states, and felt really discouraged. Now applying for WCU LA
I've been in your shoes hon as far a feeling discouraged and failing classes/gpa. I'm an LVN graduate with several associate degrees all while waiting to bridge into the RN program since 2018.
Question, I have severe anxiety, I'm curious about the capstone Project, which they have now moved to the end of the program, presentations are a big struggle for me, if as a group or online doable, im concerned about otherwise, is there options for that?
Carolina I followed your nursing school journey, I cried and also celebrated with you...I m bullied at work for having a spanish accent, some people called me dumb and slow but I have a passion for nursing and I know that it will be so hard and I'm scared, but I have to do it.im a mom of 4 and I want to give my kids a better life.......can you make a video about how you study and how many times you failed etc.
hey Carolina! i actually left west coast university due to the tuition, as soon as i was going to start my clincials they said i was $8k short and monthly payments of $800-900. as a mom of two it didnt make sense to work, i was so dissapointed that they did not disclose that. funny thing all the pre courses were wasted i didnt need it for my current nursing program i am in. I feel like they dont disclose it up front with you and make you take out private loans to cover the cost. something id dint want to do nor could due to buying a home recently. i feellike west coast university is a gret option for those with famil;y who can elp you cosign or if you have an extra $1k for tuition payments. (in FL) Thank you for sharing your journey with me, I also felt the same way when i enrolle din west coast university i feel like they get you their.
withdrew my application for the upcoming term a few month ago, only to reapply a month before my original start date. Now ill be attending WCU Ontario this summer.
Hi. Did you end up deciding? I am on the financial aid part of enrollment, which is somewhat discouraging considering the cost. If all goes well, I have a start date of 4/3.
It is difficult but doable. Just stay organized and on top of assignments and studying. Talk to professors and make friends in class for study groups. Study groups help so much
Thank you! I have no idea. I went to the WCU program in North Hollywood. I have heard good things from other campuses though. If that counts, but I dont have any personal experience there.
Hello thank u for this vid! I'm currently in my preceptorship term and is set to take my EXIT on the 28th ! Please can you provide tips on how you studied for the EXIT?
I remember running into your PEDS clinical video a while back. I was low key anxious and scared to start WCU but your videos kinda pushed me forward to go through with it and now I’m cruising through the program! I’m in my intermediate med surg term now :D Edit: your graduation date is when I started WCU o:
Thank you for watching my videos!!! I am glad your WCU nursing journey is going great. I know its stressful most of the time but before you know it you will be an RN!
If you have your adn then please do not go to west coast. All u have to do is look up flex path from capella! U can finish in 2/3 months if ur dedicated and they are very cheap! Only a few thousand.
Thank you Carolina for your great video. I have a question about your clinicals rotations . Which Hospitals did you do your clinicals ? I feel that the Hospital clinical rotations are very important. Thanks a lot, and congrats on accomplishing your career goal 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for the information. Was wondering if you would recommend to buy the books directly from WestCoast ($7450) or buying them from somewhere else?
Hey Diana! I personally bought the books directly from WCU. I didn’t want the hassle of buying them outside. However, if I could I would have saved a bit of money if I did buy them from somewhere else. My friend would buy them from Amazon or wherever she could and she saved.
Also, it’s entirely possible to go through the program with pdf files other students are willing to share. I haven’t bought a single book so far, I just use ATI books.
Hi, I am looking to going to west coast. I heard a lot of negative things about them which scares me especially since we are taking such a huge loan. I really want to be a nurse but I don't want to regret it. I am currently taking classes at a community to save money But I also want to get it done as fast as I can. so I don't know if I should wait till January to apply or to go this august
Yea. So you can fail only 1 if you fail 1 more you get dismissed. It can be any in nursing core. That I know of. I failed physical assessment and mental health. I knew I was doing borderline in Physical assessment, however, for mental health I was fine. I ended up doing bad in the mental health final which was one of the hardest finals for me and it brought one of my percentage down down. Just below passing.
@@monicaschon6647 Hi, I got accepted to the Ontario campus but the reviews on yelp about disorganized, unknowledgeable and unprofessional staff scares me. Did you experience this as well or was it the opposite? I also heard you can get dropped in a heartbeat. I have most of my prereqs done so that would knock down the tuition a lot. Any advice would be appreciated!

My program was about a little over 2 years
How was their simulation?
Is it like 1000 a month to pay back ? I still can try to go the cheaper way but I feel like why go that route if I can just do it this way faster
Did you refinance your loans?
No. I didn't. I will talk about it in a video.
