I graduated Westcoast Hollywood in August and I started my Residency in September but I am in Med- Surge Ortho....I freaking hate it so much, BUT I am already in it this deep. I will not lie, as soon as my 1 year is up, I am leaving bedside. I have the night shift. You have downtime, but just staying up and going in late to work is not the greatest feeling. I feel isolative, I have no social life, its been hard on my relationship because I don't have a life now haha -_-. I WISH I had 4 patients, my god, I am stuck with the 5 patients. I will not lie, its been hard, I been by myself, but I cant stand the pain seekers mean patients. Yes, we get the mental health patients as well and they can be violent, verbally abusive, and very rude to you. When you work nights and you have to speak to a Doctor they are mad you called them and you get attitude from them as well. I feel every hospital has this. I feel that I am just pushing narcotics and I just don't like this aspect of nursing. Thankfully my coworkers are nice, but the department is not good via patient population All I have to say is stick it out, deal with the hardships, but time does go by quick. Once you pass that 1 year mark, you can leave and try other departments. I plan to just go back to the clinic I use to work at and not deal with bedside. Thankfully, my old clinic I use to work at as a Medical Assistant is the same company and I can easily transfer to a RN position once I hit a year, but I feel that your first year as a new graduate will be your hardest year. Supposedly, oncology is a chill department to work in (If you work night shift)....Super jealous that others still get 4 patients.

What made you become a nurse? Why you were so eager and what happened at the end? Do
You feel happy that you listened to your gut going into nursing?

Added another video to my channel, and this time, it's about real crime documentaries. I think it's an intriguing and detailed piece. After watching, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

How has your life changed financially since you became a nurse? I’m just curious to know how much do you pay for your student loans? I’m considering going to a private college since it’s kind of hard to get into a community college.

Same. Especially the teas. I got invited to take the teas the first time I applied but I was dealing with a illness so I didn’t took it. Second time I didn’t got the invitation. And then I applied to a lvn program but I was still ill of the disorder. And then I just hope I get in the program I am going for another career not nursing. Maybe if the calling persists, I can do an accelerated nursing program. Also I did a practice teas exam and I got 50% and science was my high highest. Still teas discourages me. 😥😥
