A fabulous display of world class talent on show there, there were absolutely no misinterpretation's of the music just different takes on approach. This is how it should be, what a sad world it would be without the individual 'hearing' of the people involved in any music.
I have personal favourites but that is down entirely to the way that I hear music and is in no way reflective to the ones that I don't highlight here. In no particular order my three favourite takes came quite close together, they are :- the lady sat at the steel, the chap that stood with the lap guitar (I use the Ebow quite a lot and this really reminded me of it) and lastly Stuart on his lovely Jazzmaster.

What a great comment, everyone in music should have their own voice and that’s exactly why I set up the challenge. I chose some favourites, but each solo like you said has its own merits.

From a non player point of view I enjoyed the individuality of musical interpretation and liked them all.

Hi Scott, I only just found your channel so I'm way too late to do this really but when you got to the part where you said you'd like to hear some weird instruments I thought I'll have a go at this solo and maybe include a tin whistle as well. The prizes are gone so nothing to loose by trying something totally different just for fun. It's a great backing track.I'll get on it during the week and post something on my channel. I'll send you a link when it's done.
BTW back in my gigging days I got to work with Sara a couple of times. She was about 14 when I first met her and her playing was fantastic back then.

I don't have decent camera to do footage of me playing or the technical knowledge to sync up footage from my phone so the vid will have to be a photo slideshow sort of thing. I usually just record with audacity then put some pictures with it when it gets to YT. If it goes ok I should have something done by next weekend.
