I agree that the clicker would force you to have your thumb loaded up solid on the trigger before the pull through begins.a good feature in my opinion
I love my UV hinge but I hated giving up 1/2" draw length due to the long neck to get my anchor correct. So I have a wise choice in the mail.

Thanks for the tip on moving the thumb barrel to a different hole. I wanted my release to be less hot and that really made a difference. I went out to the garage after watching the video and moved mine. Shot it on the range today and it was noticeable. I wish I had thought of it a year ago. Of course I really want to upgrade to either the Stan or the Carter but need to save some money since they are not cheap.

Shot a Carter chocolate addiction for years and years, went to the Stan X3 in 2020 and then tried the UV Button in 2022 which I think is going to be what I use for the years to come. Absolutely love it!
Stan Axis has been a game changer for me. I like the Thumb C, but its the additional travel that is tough for me to take to the woods.
Been using a wise choice as my primary with the nock2it as a backup as it's essentially the same release just a two and a half finger vs the three finger. Both setup the same, swapped out the button for ultraview's larger button which made a world of a difference for me.
Really want to give the onnex-c a run, same with ultraview's thumb button.
Now I'm shooting the Cobra Harvester. Purchased the knob kit and use the midsized one. It's overlooked so check on out.

any thought on the Honey 2 im thinking of switching my thumb release carter chocolate lite to a hinge the honey 2. i wanna switch to a hinge but i do want one with a safety

Being this is my 2nd yr with compound bows, I am still learning everything including releases.
The Like mike 2 was my first to experience. I really like the crisp action of the release. The strap? it is So-So in comfort which made me try out the Total Control. Not as crisp as the Like Mike 2, but is comfortable and has changed my draw length (lengthened). I needed the extra DL but had to do some adjustments of course. Have the Whisper 2 regular showing up soon which will be my first button release. If the Whisper 2 offers the crisp release of the Like Mike 2 and the comfort of the Total Control? Just hoping that the DL does not change again.
Instead of the wrist straps, I have been preferring the use of an elastic hair tie wrapped onto my finger which holds the Total Control on my hand comfortably.
I am getting acclimated to the click now after some practice with the Total Control. Before I would jump like most people have already stated.
Anyhow, thanks again for another informational review.

Not a whisper 2 fan right now. I have the regular, my finger gets stuck and the roller really digs into my other finger. Not that comfortable because of these issues. Just a quick update.

i want to switch to a thumb button from wrist. i am trying to shorten my draw length so that I can fit in standard bow with 31.5 to 32" draw. currently with wrist release I am at a 32.5 inch draw.
How to prevent arrow from hitting sight, im at 100 yards with room left on my site tape. I have not smacked my sight with fletchings would like to know mac range with out doing that. I believe i heard you explain it but don’t remember where or what you said.

Personally I shoot a b3 omega which is pretty much identical to the Scott sigma and it’s by far my favorite thumb release
I have the nock 2 it. I’m new and have never held another release. Would you say it’s louder than these ones your both thinking about using?

I wish Stan would learn from Carter and keep old releases in the line up. They lost me when the Perfex was discontinued. Sold it and went with a B3 Exit Hunter and Huuk, so far they are great.

I just got my Whisper 2 last week. It is a very clean and quiet release. The neck seems a little shorter. Dan how is the length compared to your WC and 2 Simple? The magnets are very slick. I’ll have to try removing the extendo peg cuz mine is too hot even with three magnets.
Just got mine also and tried without bar and with and totally feels different. The neck is definitely shorter than my nock 2 it. Mine is the regular and feels small.

Well, you can technically adjust it past the clicker shelf, and that makes it a standard thumb. (With no click) However, the click is barely audible, just enough to hear it. It doesn't affect anything as far as hunting.... hope that helps.
A pair of Nock2it’s or the two finger Wise Choice if one cared to call them that.
I love my whisperer 2 I swapped out the the barrel on my Scott sigma with it and you can use paracord to make a wrist strap on the part we’re you cock it

Dan has your wise choice ever had a hang fire? You’re at full draw and pulled though to activate your release and it did not go off until you did a let down.

Wow! That’s scary. I’ve used the old wise choice years ago and now the new one since they came out and I can’t remember ever having a no- fire or hang fire event. Thousands of shots.
Just brought it around April of this year and yeah it has about a thousand shots on it and I’ll admit that I cut off the 3rd finger so that it felt like my silverback in the hand but I did that before I got through 100 arrows

My new stan broke halfway through my draw. Punched myself in the face and nearly broke my nose. Luckily my pro shop replaced it without a question and it hasn’t had a problem a thousand arrows in.
I bought the first generation stan Wrist release, broke it in my stand, just clicking it back-and-forth plastic disk came out.
Stan all the way it sucks they got rid of their Pefex that’s what I shoot

Stan is not the same as they were before they sold the company. Carter is still family owned and top notch.
