Why do you love using Apple Motion?
I love animation, composition etc... but I don't like the way after effect is build.
@@micheltheodorou1110 I'm in the same boat.
Becuose fcp and this compatible is amazing.
Great fan of Apple products. I use Final Cut Pro, and I will like to learn motion
What do you say about this, which tool should I choose FCP or Davinci ruclips.net/video/LhONgaaLjHk/видео.html
Thanks for having me on Joseph! Let’s do it again soon. 👊
Apple motion is powerful! Thank you for the video. Keep up the good work!
another great video, glad I found this channel as I am considering starting to play around with motion animation
Do it! It's so fun!
Great collab and great info, thanks 👍
Glad you liked it! I can't wait to publish the followup video.
That camera tip was amazing. In my last video (Why The First 100k Is The Hardest) I used the 3D camera to help with making the video more dynamic but I didn’t use the tracking feature at all. That would have saved a lot of time! Love this collab btw. Thank you both 🙏
I'm glad you liked it. The camera is seriously one of the best tools in Apple Motion. It's so versatile and has so many use cases.
May I ask, did you edit your video solely in Motion 5, or did you create an effect using Motion 5 for 3d tracking?
I bought Motion 16 years ago and haven’t had to pay another penny since!! That works out to 27 cents per month. It’s the most under appreciated, best value for your editing dollars. My only recommendation is that you get a professional tutorial to learn how to do it instead of trying to just figure it out. Our man here clicked on a few options to achieve the desired effect. But did you see all the tons of settings that can be changed? Here’s what you do - download a trial version for 90 days. Then get a trial version of a tutorial site’s lessons and spend a couple full days learning about it. You’ll want to get it.
hey, do you know a good class to take online? like udemy or maybe skillshare idk
Love the thumbnail Slinker!
Thanks Jeff! I really wish RUclips had AB Testing of thumbnails. It's so hard to know what people will find appealing.
@@JosephSlinker That is annoying. However I can say that facial expressions, arrows and outlines usually appear on top creators channels. So good job!
superb 👌
Thank you!
Really got me thinking 🤔
Don't hurt yourself.
Can you share what camera / lens you used to film this? I see it was uploaded in 4k... but this video seems amazingly sharp... and trying to wrap my head around why my don't look like this!
Yup! It’s the Sony A7IV with the kit lens that comes with it.
The point about cost is so true... I was actually shocked when I first looked up the price for Motion and immediately went to check the fine print 😆
Right???
Am a new sub. nice meeting you
Great to meet you! I'm excited to have you along for the journey.
@@JosephSlinker Thank you
Joe, thank you for this great video! For my next film project I will be using miniature airplanes and I want to fly them over a three dimensional city at night. How would you recommend creating a photo realistic three-dimensional city and sky in Apple motion?
The rendering engine in Motion is good, but it won't get you big budget Hollywood levels of realistic. Apple Motion doesn't do 3D modeling, so you'll have to find USDZ assets somewhere else (there are lots of free asset sites out there). Once you import the USDZ files it's as simple as positioning the 3D assets and animating the camera.
@@JosephSlinker Thank you
How does Motion compare to After Effects?
Joseph can you do Fly Through Text in Apple Motion or FCPX without mtracker 3D, THANKS
Doing 2D fly through text is easy. Doing 3D text is slightly harder. Doing 3D text pinned to a part of the footage can be really clunky, but possible.
👍🏾🙏🏾
can someone tell me whats with that bundle deal right now. Where you can buy all 5 softwares (logic pro, final cut pro, motion, stage, and compressor) for 200$ from apples site but if you wanna buy final cut pro stand alone its 300$ can someone explain that? Is the bundle a lite version or what because this makes no sense youre paying way more for just one program but 100$ less you get 5 programs! Im so confused.
Lol well now I need to learn motion
how did you do this transytion with paper? Can you du a film about this?
Make sure you stick around. The paper titles and transitions will be a tutorial later and the finished plugins will be a reward for my supporters over on Patreon.
@@JosephSlinker ok. Thanks! I am waiting!
I need a channel that has tutorials for using motion as a motion graphics editor not just clips for final cut
Stuff like logo, text, vector animation for product marketing and ads
Any suggestions?
Unfortunately most videos out there are focused on what Motion is best at: making plugins for Final Cut. With that said I plan on making more videos about Motion in the future and Dylan’s channel makes great content for Final Cut and Motion every week.
@@JosephSlinker Thats fine thanks, I appreciate your response.
Dylan the Final Cut bro got you
You say top 10 at the beginning and the title says top 5
That's because part 2 can be found on Dylan's video. 😏

Talking about templates right from the start assuming the viewer knows what a template is in video editing is, is kind of presumputuous. Not cool.
KLass!!!Thanks🍦🍧🧋🍹🥂
