Don't Rotoscope in Apple Motion (Do this instead 👆)

Masking subjects in film can be easy for your VFX shots. Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion don't rotoscope very well, so these are my tricks and tips to get the job done.

I put all the different layers into a Motion project, used the Z position to separate them from each other, and then animated the camera to separate them visually. Does that all make sense?
