Another thing about the Yautja Moral Code they're also unfortunately not allowed 2 have their Technology/Weapons fall in2 human hands but as seen near the end of this Film they'll give y'all something else from 1 of their past/previous hunts just as cool as a Trophy 4 killing 1 of theirs!
Having watched all the Predator movies in release order when they came out, I can suggest you skip a few and watch Prey next... its easily as good, if not better than 2. Technically its a prequel to the first but in reality it's best viewed after the second one... for reasons I don't wanna give away so as not to spoil it!
The only other movie that really has any connection to this one and the first one is Prey. The rest other than being about Predators doesn't have much to do with these two nor in all honesty are they all that good. The AvP movies are ok. The only one I would for sure say watch is Prey as it is connected to this one and the first one, plus IMHO the 3rd best of them after this one and the first of course.
@@nutluck AVP 1 was ok but AVP 2 is pretty much unwatchable IMO not because it's bad (which it is) with pretty D list actors but because 90% of the action scenes are shot in pitch black darkness and you literally cannot see anything

While others might have pointed out the xenomorph "Alien" head on the trophy wall The elder Predator who tossed the flintlock to Corrigan, as he was leaving he was re adjusting what appeared to be King Willy's sword cane. leaving you to ponder if he himself killed Willy or it was tribute from one of the younger hunters.
Bill Paxton-the only actor to play characters killed by a Terminator, a Xenomorph,and a Predator..There was a storyline in Darkhorse Comics that the 3 characters were related.😂
This " City Hunter " is young and thereby undisciplined still; as evidenced by his borderline taunting of Mike and the overall brazen nature of his kills ( like in the daylight ) etc. This was his " rite of passage " ; he did not pass! 😅
Our reactors kept mentioning the sweat, but never made that connection: Heat = Predator, even though the design has some arachnid qualities, we are to believe like a reptile, they are cold-blooded.
People used to poopoo on this movie but as a kid i loved predator 1 and 2 just the same. then so many decades later they finally finished the trilogy with Prey and they're all fun af.
While the inclusion of the flintlock in that movie was an interesting easter egg. I disliked it. They should've saved that for the next prey film where they could've recreated the original origin for the pistol and how the Yautja chieftain came to possess it.
I really love this movie I think it was an excellent sequel for the original. It's one of my favorites out of the franchise. Danny Glover does an amazing job.
Now, modern audiences associate the flintlock pistol with Prey, but that’s actually a retcon. Originally, in a comic by Dark Horse, the Predator met a pirate captain who was being mutinied. They dueled, and took out the treacherous crew together. But the captain sustained a fatal injury, and bequeathed the pistol to the alien, who avenged him. The Predator even gave the captain a proper burial, and left a sword at his grave.
(At 2:05) on the downside this might be the last time we actually see Kevin Peter Hall playing two characters in the same movie… again (Kevin Peter Hall was famous for playing the "Jungle Predator" in the first movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger and the "City Predator" with Danny Glover. He also play two second characters near the end of both movies).
It has a bad reputation but if you really liked the horror aspects of P1 and P2, you need to watch the first Alien v Predator - it's a fun 'popcorn' movie!!
Honestly it's a really cool and most importantly a fun movie. Hardcore Predator fans don't like it because of the ending and Alien fans not like it for plot holes I guess but I really like it for what it is. Especially if you consider what comes after.
I just can't get over the swole Yautja in AvP....just takes me out of the movie completely. A movie version of the first AvP graphic novel would have been far better.
The real reason the Predator couldn't use his camo during (and after) the slaughterhouse incident was because Keye's men were spraying particles in the air that stuck onto the Predator, making him unable to use it.
It's one of the best sequels ever including die hard 2 and 3 equalizer 2 & 3 Captain America Winter soldier & Captain America civil war guardians of the Galaxy 2&3 and avengers 2 3 & 4 . Also godfather 2
I know a lot of people hated this movie bc they felt it was a sucky sequel to go from tough guy arnie to Danny Glover. And i never understood that bc Danny is apart of one of the most successful action film franchises in film history and held his own. Yes mel gibson was the main character in letal weapon but Danny was amazing too
if you go back to where Danny Glover talks to Keys (Gary busey) in the surveillance van you'll see a cameo of the girl survivor from the 1st film on the monitors being interrogated.
Dude thought Arnie and Glover were the only two to beat a predator. As a Comanche I'm stoked to reveal that it was a Comanche that was the first one to do it 😊 Now ya gotta watch 'PREY' 🔥
The predator didnt atack glover in the begining because after seeing the way he took out all the bad guys it knew he was the alpha, so it started hunting him, killing all his friends first and leaving glover for last, the strongest one last, like we saw in the first movie also
I'd almost forgotten that you just did a reaction to the original '87 Predator not too long ago. Nice to see you guys following up with the what I'd consider best sequel! Eh, I guess a few of the other entries might be worth your time to check out maybe even the AvP movies but.....none of them can match the quality of these first 2. Not even close IMO. And I watched a recent video by someone else I follow who covers film of their top 5 underrated sequels and Predator 2 was their number 1 pick. Couldn't dispute that at all. Didn't realize you hadn't gotten around to Ghostbusters II yet either. Look forward to that reaction too. 👍
unlike the the one from the first Predator movie here it seems like the Predator was a youngblood which is a rank given to predators who just became adults and need to prove themself which will explain why he was much more agressive just jumping in the middle of the fight and killing compared to the Jungle Hunter who was observing the whole half of the movie, also unlike Jungle Hunter who who just droped in on his own this one had other Predators observing him as this was probablly his trial
In the novelization for Predator 2, the reason the creature did not kill Leona has to do with the rules of the hunt: 1) Do not harm children, 2) Do not harm gravid(pregnant)females. Predators(2010) comes next and it has callbacks to the 1st film.

I don't think you guys really understood Jerry aka Bill Paxton rest in peace the character in this movie it seemed like you guys really didn't like him at all and we're like annoyed by him. He's supposed to be like the comic relief and he wasn't hitting on Leona he was trying to fit in and try to have her like him because he had his last partner killed because he made a mistake so he's probably in his head and nervous as hell thinking she hates him and he's just trying to do whatever he could do to charm her so she'll like him as a partner he's not hitting on her. Show Jerry AKA Bill Paxton respect awesome character dope movie I don't care what anybody says. And Bill Paxton is a goat been killed by a predator an alien and a Terminator. Rest in peace

Finished watching, excellent reaction... You brought up the sorta horror/slasher vibe that you got from this, well the director just happened to be coming off A Nightmare On Elm Street 5. Not the greatest one in that series by any stretch of the imagination, but he did exemplify a certain sense of visual style with both these movies of his.
(At 14:30) I forgot Adam Baldwin (from the series _Firefly_ and the movie _Serenity_ from 2005) was in this movie. Of course, his hair is not Black anymore.
You need to watch the latest one now - Prey - the other ones are ok, but the first, this one and Prey and all great. Prey is a prequel and I think it might be the best of them. If you are the sort that want to see them all, even if some are not very good, then I'd say you have a couple choices - the actual main movies are Predator from 1987, this one from 1990, Predators from 2010, The Predator from 2018 and Prey, from 2022. The other movies are more like spinoffs and not everyone counts them, but there is Aliens vs Predator [2004], and Aliens vs Predator: Requiem [2007]. I'm the sort that sits through them all just to be complete, but having done so, I mostly go for the 2 you have seen and Prey - the 2 Alien vs Predator movies did not impress me much at all - lots of hype no delivery in my opinion. As for Predators and The Predator - worth watching once, very different in nature - in my mind, they can be skipped or watched, either way. As for order - I guess you could go for the release order, but you don't need to. I'd suggest Prey next because with the first two, they make a solid set and since Prey is a prequel, you don't need to see anything but the first 2 before seeing it. You do want those first 2 before it, so you are all set. After that, I'd suggest Predators then The Predator followed by Aliens vs Predator then Aliens vs Predator: Requiem.

Thing about Predators is that they have a moral code. They don't hunt children, pregnant women or sick people. Doing so would go against their honor.
There are some very rare exceptions, but really just for life threatening moments

It was the warmest time of the year in the city in along time. I think that's why the Predator was there. They like the heat apparently.

(At 1:13) The second movie IS taking place in a Jungle. A "concrete" Jungle during the Rodney King riot.
They did try and get Arnie for a cameo but he turned it down. There is a whole planet of them. Planet is called Yauja Prime.
Remember in the beginning of predator 1 the ship separated from the main ship when it went to the jungle and the main ship landed in LA

The predator in this film was a teenager, and FAR less capable of a fighter. This was one of his trials which he obviously failed.

Prey, First AvP and Predators are really enjoyable movies after this

You brought up the sorta horror/slasher vibe that you got from this, well the director just happened to be coming off A Nightmare On Elm Street 5. Not the greatest one in that series by any stretch of the imagination, but he did exemplify a certain sense of visual style with both these movies of his.

You need to watch the latest one now - Prey - the other ones are ok, but the first, this one and Prey and all great. Prey is a prequel and I think it might be the best of them. If you are the sort that want to see them all, even if some are not very good, then I'd say you have a couple choices - the actual main movies are Predator from 1987, this one from 1990, Predators from 2010, The Predator from 2018 and Prey, from 2022. The other movies are more like spinoffs and not everyone counts them, but there is Aliens vs Predator [2004], and Aliens vs Predator: Requiem [2007]. I'm the sort that sits through them all just to be complete, but having done so, I mostly go for the 2 you have seen and Prey - the 2 Alien vs Predator movies did not impress me much at all - lots of hype no delivery in my opinion. As for Predators and The Predator - worth watching once, very different in nature - in my mind, they can be skipped or watched, either way.
As for order - I guess you could go for the release order, but you don't need to. I'd suggest Prey next because with the first two, they make a solid set and since Prey is a prequel, you don't need to see anything but the first 2 before seeing it. You do want those first 2 before it, so you are all set. After that, I'd suggest Predators then The Predator followed by Aliens vs Predator then Aliens vs Predator: Requiem.
Now he has completely lost his mind, I want to see more of Gary Busey in movies.
