There are worse things than dying in DMC2's Bloody Palace... ... The game could glitch out on the last few floors, leaving you with a black screen. That's what happened to me. Fortunately, I was playing as Trish and the sound was still there, so I kept blindly throwing Sparda at enemies while dodging around and when I entered the next floor, everything was back to normal again. But I heard that there is also a glitch that causes enemies to now spawn correctly, in which case you are just f*cked.

Combat is nothing like dmc 1 tho. You don’t delay inputs to do diff combos you shift directional inputs at ether 2nd or 3rd attacks. Not intuitive at all or explained in game.
No canceling tech of any kind ether. I wish the gameplay was more like dmc 1 good thing trish exists

I’d like to add on to the stupidity of bloody palace in this game by saying that you unlock a cheat after beating must die mode that gives you infinite devil trigger……but for some reason it only works if you change your console language to French. (I know this sounds like a joke/troll, but I swear it’s not. I hate this game)
I just recently got all the achievements and ran into this problem. It's actually any language that isn't Japanese or English lol. But yeah it is really weird, but after switching to Spanish, I just ran through Bloody Palace with Trish in air raid lol
At least in Xbox One this works without changing Language, in PC it has to be french indeed

@@sageofsparda3764 Xbox 360 or One? At least for me on XB1 i can press both Triggers and Bumpers and it just works, I play with all settings in English
@@TheDevilDucker Xbox one lol. I tried the trick after beating DMD with English turned on but nothing worked, so then I went and changed it to Spanish and yep. Turned on for me then

This game as absolute dogsht. I barely finished my firsy playthrough on the HD collection and i had intended to 100% but fuck that. Big ups for you fella. Great video overall. Definitely subbed.
There's a cheat code for infinite DT in the HD collection for ps4 and that saves a lot of time.

Dude, I really hope you knew you could have use super characters to get infinite dt for the bloody palace and the reason you didn't use it is because you wanted to beat it the normal way

The real way to play this game is to use your sword until you get S rank, then just stand back and spam guns/knives to keep the rank

Gears of War 4 instead Judgement is... Wrong
Fallout and Halo both get two bad ones, both of which have two games that aren't that bad and then two that are terrible which... Like just pick the worse one. Kingdom Hearts 3 over Coded, Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days.

It's so weird how nostalgia can cloud your judgement. I know that DMC2 is not a good game. I know that it's a rather shitty game actually. And yet, somehow, I feel nostalgic towards those shitty graphics and even the shitty game itself. This game came out during the best time of my childhood. Spending the weekends with friends, farming red orbs in DMC2 until 10 pm, when Cowboy Bebop, Lupin, Escaflowne and Hellsing were on.
I first wanted to say that, despite being a bad game, there is still fun to be had with DMC2, but that simply isn't true. At best, it's a mind-numbingly dull game and a quick Platinum Trophy, but even that is not true, because you have to beat the bloody Bloody Palace in order to get platinum. And Trish is the only character that doesn't feel like garabge to play. But even as Trish, Bloody Palace is nothing more than throwing Sparda at enemies while jumping around like an idiot, occasionally shooting enemies so that you can get throught that boring shitshow a bit faster. On higher stages, enemies get so spammy that you don't have time to stop and shoot, so you have to completely rely on throwing Sparda until your devil trigger is filled up. Then, you have to fight three Arius at once and two Despair Embodied later on. They spam their stupid attacks like crazy and you barely have enough time to throw Sparda and you just want that boring game to finally end...
And despite all that, I can't hate this game.
This guy is based. And yeah DMC2 sucks
