This guy: "I am NOT endorsing the political beliefs present in this video." Me, glancing nervously at my fleur-de-lys flag and picture of Louis: "Yeah...no...me neither of course..." 🤞😉🤫😌😇🙏
I have a flag with a fleur-de-lys, but thats because my home county (Lincolnshire) has a fleur-de-lys on it (Ironically, its not only a British county, but an English one at that).
And the French will throw him out. Who knows, the French might restore the Capets whether the Bourbons or the Orleans, then there is the Bonapartes. There is always Marine Le Pen. She would be the first Queen 👑 Regnant of France.
Actually de Gaulle briefly considered restoring Henri d'Orleans from around 1958-early 1960's. Charles de Gaulle came from a family of Legitimists, who begrudgingly supported the Orleanists with the Senior House of Bourbon's extinction following Chambourd's death. de Gaulle was sympathetic to the Orleanists and had regular correspondence with the likes of Charles Maurras, the head of Action Francais, the far right, Catholic centric, monarchist group. de Gaulle was quite friendly with d'Orleans and the two regularly discussed the topic. Charles invited d'Orleans to join him in London as part of Free France. And in 58' he got rid of the laws barring royal pretenders and permitted them to run for President. The idea was the Henri who was well liked by many Republicans and many monarchist types would gain the presidency and put France on the path to a monarchical restoration, but those plans were shelved by the 60's when the left started getting more agitated as France's own "Sexual revolution" started getting off the ground leading to the end of his presidency. Prior to 58' Charles was having d'Orleans act as a more public figure acting as one of his representatives to the French mandate in Syria, essentially putting him out there in the French public sphere. Had d'Orleans joined de Gaulle in London in 1940, it might have led to de Gaulle being more open and overtly supportive of the idea of a monarchical restoration. Then again, if you change up some of the post war politics like having the army instead lead a coup against the Fourth Republic, that might destabilize France or lead to a dictatorship where d'Orleans could have taken over in a manner similar to how Juan Carlos succeeded Franco. Considering how d'Orleans was okay with the left, he might have allied with opposition figures against such a dictatorship, leading a coup against it.

I think it's horrible. How can we act like being a meritocratic society if there are people who hold a position of power literally just by the randomness of birth. Why is a King Felipe more deserving of representing the Spanish people than any other of 48 million people? I think the people should be able to o directly choose who is going to represent them. Representative Monarchs also hold power in popularity and influence just before anyone wants to disagree.
@@derdude6214 I don't see it that way. Constitutional monarchs don't have any power nor should they as they're just figure heads with a fancy but traditional title. The French is unique in this kind of situation where the people cannot decide whether or not they are in for a monarch. I think it is better to have a monarch. Just to have someone be a figurehead, not an administrative, policy-making entity but somebody to look on to, someone to fight for and to unite with. I think it will give France a steady direction.

yeah not the most realistic scenario. I was working with a French socialist from my server for most of the political stuff. His english isnt amazing so we had some difficulties communicating so my apologies if any of the numbers are incorrect. Obviously France wouldn't restore the monarchy, this is more of a thought experiment on what would change if Louis Alphonse actually took power in France. I desire with all my heart a return of the legitimate Bourbons, after they were punished by God when failing to consecrate France to the Sacred Heart as requested by our Lord through St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. But it will come in the future, they will be back, the Great King will come.
my thoguhts of what may be to come in this alternate future: -on whether or not monarchism spreads to other countries in Europe: The reactionary laws passed by Louis XX, such as the anti-trans legislation, limiting homosexuals to civil unions and banning them from adoption as well as the promotion of conservative catholocism will cause monarchism to seem inherently tied to reactionary ideology. I know some will say that monarchism as an ideology is reactionary, but what I'm saying is that monarchism will by-in-large go from being seen as varying from center (figurehead) to right (traditionalist) to being seen almost completely reactionary. Ibelieve that liberals and leftists will use this to their advantage, as they will use the actions taken by Louis XX to mobilize non-reactionary voters (moderates, liberals and moderate rightists) to voting against more far-right and populist right parties, citing fears of social authoritarianism, reduced pluralism and the anti-abortion actions would also likely further sway women to more leftist ideology.

France is the most centralized country in Europe; Parisians have a monopoly on the French media and Parisians are far left. Good video. But pls for the sake that of the alternate history generally stay away from politics and geopolitics. Happened with Mister Z and now everyone’s lost his respect.
Hello, I'm a French legitimist and I'd just like to correct the errors in the video. Before I start, I'd like to make it clear that I'm not criticising your video negatively, but I just want to inform you. To begin with, Louis XX was certainly in favour of a constitutional monarchy in the 2010s, but today he is in favour of the old regime. Secondly, our king says that he is "available to the French", which means that he will not work on his own to re-establish the monarchy (I'm talking about concrete actions here) and that he will respond to the call of the French if they want to re-establish the monarchy, but he does support our legitimist movement and makes numerous appearances. As for an alliance with Action Française, this is totally unimaginable, although many AF members are not Orleanists, the irrigante class is attached to their master Charle Maurass and does not advocate religion as a priority (which for the legitimists is totally unimaginable) not to mention the very many differences in doctrine, so although a merger between the Orleanist and legitimist movements would be wonderful it remains highly unlikely.
Italian socialist here, so I do not fully know the modern french monarchist area, is it more realistic a legitimist or a orleanist reinstauration in France? I mean, the orleanists already have active groups (Action Française, Alliance Royale and Nouvelle Action Royaliste). Also, just out of curiosity, why would you support a monarchy and in particular why would you support either dinasty? Why not a Bonaparte or an Orleans for example?
@@historicalitalianmemer8495 Hi, as things stand, restoration is out of the question due to the lack of support from the population. As for which branch to choose, to cut a long story short, legitimism is based on the society of the ancien régime with a monarchy of divine right, orleanism is based on the July monarchy with a constitutional monarchy and, finally, bonapartism, which is not a royal dynasty but an imperial one, is based on a regime with democratic but authoritarian foundations. If you have another question, let me know

-RN is very much conservative
Overall completely delusional.
yeah not the most realistic scenario. I'm trying to learn more about France's politics so if you know the system well, i'm all ears
I started laughing my ass off at first because when I read PC, I thought PCF 🤣
le cope de malade mdrr, détend toi c'est un scénario tout sauf sérieux
French republic doesn't even look French anymore. It looks like your football team. Anything but French. Overall delusional.
RN is absolutely NOT conservative : they are for abortion, gay mariage, ART for gay couples and alone women…
VIVE LE ROI!! ⚜️⚜️⚜️🔵🔵🔵✝️
I desire with all my heart a return of the legitimate Bourbons, after they were punished by God when failing to consecrate France to the Sacred Heart as requested by our Lord through St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. But it will come in the future, they will be back, the Great King will come.

my thoguhts of what may be to come in this alternate future:
-on whether or not monarchism spreads to other countries in Europe:
The reactionary laws passed by Louis XX, such as the anti-trans legislation, limiting homosexuals to civil unions and banning them from adoption as well as the promotion of conservative catholocism will cause monarchism to seem inherently tied to reactionary ideology.
I’m French and I wanted to say that you video is actually very good, you seem to know French politics better than a lot of Frenchs content creators 😂
Love this

Oh, I love this map man. Love how there are the little details around Ukraine and Transnistria. Makes it actually feel like a map from the future.
Vive le Roy de France Louis XX !!🏳⚜️🏳
France president:*becomes king*
French People:looks like we have to do a third revolution
Do another video like this, but instead of the House of Bourbon, make it the House of Bonaparte.
What if Bismarck wasn't fired
No matter what, the French will never let the Bourbons rule over them
Centuries of manipulation and brainwashing are difficult to undo, but not impossible.
Thank you so much for this topic, because i'm myself French Royalist Legitimist ( for the return of the Bourbon dynasty ). Vive la France, Vive le Roi Louis-Alphonse de Bourbon ( Dit Louis le 20ème )/ English traduction : Long live France, Long live King Louis-Alphonse de Bourbon ( Louis the 20th ).
The legitimate King of France is Louis XX (of Bourbon)
Vive Louis XX!!! ❤⚜️⚜️⚜️❤ Glorious Francia is a legitimist YT channel dedicated to royalist edits etc.
France the good timeline
Bold of you to assume the king would be a Bourbon

I am French and even if the scenario is not very realistic it was very funny, in fact it is especially the attitude of the National Rally which is doubtful, the rest is rather well tied up even if it would surely have caused lots of other problems , but great video !
This is a worse world!
No
It’s a better world.
Agreed.
Yeah, it very much is.
Yes. Very much so.
If FRANCE of all countries would turn monarchist within 10 years, then Montenegro and Serbia will be the first ones to immediately switch back to monarchy, with monarchist parties being in other countries
Bro the Throne belongs to Felipe VI of Spain as the head of Bourbon Dinasty.
As a French this video was great and the presentation of the different political partie was good , great video 👍
I think keep the tri-colour, if you must, as a battle-flag. I do not think it would be necessary though.
France is the most centralized country in Europe; Parisians have a monopoly on the French media and Parisians are far left. It's not the French Revolution, no, it's the Parisian Revolution, it's a very important point to understand. If we love your video and I hope that France will recover because it is the best country that the world was created
This truth, needs to be spread.

What about Charles Napoleon, who was a french politician and is still alive, or his son, Jean-Christophe? His sonJean-Christophe is also the cousin of the disputed head of the House of Bourbon.
VIVE LE ROI!!!!!!!!
If you have another question, let me know
This is a well made video. I do like how it is focused in the 21st Century, instead of usual what if ww2 alternate history videos. But also doing resreach on how the French Govermnet works and it's poltical parties. It must of a been a pain to pronouce all those French Words.
