Justin Lin gave us the awesome Fast 5 as well as a couple other cool sequels. But he literally took a dump on the fans of the franchise with this one. Were the dumb flashbacks necessary? Its like a lifetime origin movie “the torreto story”. I was embarrassed watching this

Why are we on movie 9 and half the film is flashbacks not to mention the kid playing john cenas character looked nothing like him. He was already an adult how did he gain 100lbs of muscle and grow 5 inches lol
Fast Five was the best. It waa a good mix between the simpler older ones and before they went dumber. Plus it basically had everyone in it except Lettie (although she's in a photo in the credit scene). And the final song is great

The funny thing is, I honestly believe how they use the cars and how it’s literally their own being, like using the cars to do things…catching people in the air, grabbing rope and swinging to another mountain….etc I can see universal will build this up to a villain who can transform a car into a weapon and then just bringing in the Transformer’s universe. The way these movies are going this isn’t far fetched……….

So far, I have heard that there are plans for a Fast and Furious 10 and 11, Hobbs & Shaw 2 (probably 3 or 4 of those, let's be honest), a Dom Torreto prequel about his origin, and even a potential Fast and the Furious/Jurassic Park crossover film.
I am scared now. I love 5 and love 6 more but this franchise has made me realize how much I love realistic action and at least 5 and 6 did it right in my opinion. I would accept a reboot for this franchise.

The guys from Tokoyo Drift, bunch of trouble making young adults, who's best knowledge was making cars drift from what we can tell, are now sending cars to outer space. Ridiculous. Not to mention making Tokoyo Drift a weird movie since because of it's place in the timeline like the flip phones knowing what the technology was like during Fast and Furious 6, and Han dying basically has no meaning.

Oh no, Laurie somehow died and had a daughter, and now Michael has to kill her! Wait! Laurie faked her death and never had a daughter, but has a teen son! Then he kills her for real. Wait! Michael and Laurie aren't related, and nothing that has happened between 1980 and 2002 ever happened, so Laurie is still alive!"
Fast Five was the last one that I enjoyed. I watched 6 and 7, but I thought they were just too unrealistic. I'm still a huge fan of the first film, because it was set in reality. I'm pretty sure that I will never see 8 or this one. Thanks for suffering through it, Cody. I will not waste my time.

Fast Five was the last one that I enjoyed. I watched 6 and 7, but I thought they were just too unrealistic. I'm still a huge fan of the first film, because it was set in reality. I'm pretty sure that I will never see 8 or this one.

This movie is exactly what I thouught it was gonne be as far as what was included even with the over the top stufff. This franchise is my childhood and I love them and this is pretty decent for me. 6.5 outta 10
They need to have Tyrese and Luda have chemistry , cause since Paul died nobody has any chemistry or connection with each other in the cast , Dom doesn’t have a partner now so they gotta do the duo bit on Tej and Rome
