My favorite sin is the fact that the British girl in the movie claimed to not know how to drive, and to have never driven a vehicle before. She then gets into a semi truck with a manual transmission and magically knows how to use the clutch and manages to get the truck moving in 1st gear without stalling the truck even once.
Reminds me of the chase scene in Swordfish where Hugh Jackman’s character also magically knew how to drive a six speed TVR (which somehow was able to be legally imported and driven in LA).

@@cubiekill5454 as a driving instructor, even while SHOWING and giving DETAILED instructions on how to get the car moving in the 1st gear, they still fail 90% of the times, and keep failing for some classes. So yes, you don't "learn" how to drive a manual car just by trying, she would not be able to get out of the place at all without knowing she has to hold the clutch in the right position.

I was watching this at 2:30 am with my son in my arms. I had to pause the video because I was choking from laughter. That car swing scene is by far the most ridiculous shit I’ve ever seen in a movie 🤣

The real question in this franchise at this point isn't "How did they survive this?" but rather "Even if they managed to get hit by the mine or fall into the ocean or get a bullet into their heart, would it matter?" I don't know why these movies are trying to pretend they are at any risk of real danger anymore, so might as well make them terminators to explain it all.
The real question is how not half the actors and producers have died on drug overdose? I mean for the love of whatever in the world, you cannot shot this shit without MASSIV use of drugs. Imagine being still sentient when you have to do this...

To be honest, I usually turn off my brain and just have fun with these movies, but this one was so horrible with the stunts and add on stories I tuned out, while already tuned out after the bridge jump..watching this made me realize how much I just didn't see

I was on the fence about watching this movie but after seeing "Cars In Space!" and said car was one step shy of being a DeLorean, the final scene should have had Dom walking up to a Semi Trailer and him saying, "You were right, Optimus." That would have completed this movie.

Remember in the first movie where Dom broke his arm after hitting a truck and flipping? Or in the second movie where Roman broke his arm after their car landed on a yacht. It's amazing how those crashes were less dangerous and resulted in injury, but now the crashes are even more violent and dangerous, and they just walk away like nothing happened. I wonder if Dom became a Terminator in the 20 years between the first movie and this one?
I sat in the theater, watching this, thinking how the hell did this franchise go from street racing and crime to now have cars flying in space? This isn't a franchise that has evolved. It seems to have devolved into pure craziness.

I love the fact that Dom driving his car into a single wire, somehow getting that wire caught under the tire, and then using said wire to swing HIS GOD DAMN CAR OFF A CLIFF AND THROUGH THE AIR OVER TO ANOTHER MOUNTAIN was just too much for even CS to handle and literally broke him. I mean, the "gravity doesn't exist" bridge was bad enough, but yeah...that car bullshit broke my brain too!

I unironically recommend F9 as the best first movie to start with for people unfamiliar with the Fast & Furious movies. If they can watch F9 and still want more, they'll love the first eight movies.

I have mostly consumed this series via Cinema Sins and the amount this series mimics my 5-year old imagination is astounding. Most notably, all cliffs have inexplicable ramps, bad guys aren't allowed to hit the good guys, everything is absolutely perfectly timed, and physics only apply when convenient.
I'm not a fan of all those "cartoon is imagination of kid with coma" theories, but the car scenes really play out that way.
The sin about the radio/ear pieces reminds me of when you're playing with action figures and all the good guys can inexplicably communicate. These movies is just a kid playing with his action figures.

I like how when Dom and Letty swung across the cliff with the rope from the bridge, and proceeded to hit a mountain neither of them had seat belts on. They just held on and both were able to walk away without a scratch, they must be super human!

Jurassic park crossover
Literally the only lines they haven't crossed yet in the franchise are magic(including time travel), breaking the fourth wall(properly) and/or aliens, once any of those get a mention then they'll finally have to take a step back. I don't care if they say they're gonna stop making these movies soon I believe they'll keep going until at least one of those lines is crossed.
Only two proper F&F movies were the first one and Tokyo drift.

5 is over the top but in a fairly entertaining way, like they embraced the high octane action.
By 6 though it was just getting too weird. I never even watched 7-9. The closest I've come is Cinemasins. 9 is the worst because they try to be all self aware of how stupid it is and it just....doesn't work.

I've seen movies that have more ridiculous stunts but they are set in a different world, these fast franchise screen writers are trying to tell us that all these things happening are happening in the same world as the first fast and furious movie.
@@nhatpham9933 5 was a straight forward movie and storyline like the ones before it plus you could still accept that Han was alive as it was a prequel to Tokyo drift, but then they wanted to keep him alive for more prequels and resurrect Letty and the screenwriting just got lazier and lazier and the budget got bigger and bigger. Not to mention how they butchered their timeline, like does Han die at the start of 7? So does that mean 7 was set in 2006 but made in 2015 or does it mean Tokyo drift was set in 2015 but made in 2006(while they're carrying around phones that were clearly made in 2006). Lazy doesn't come close to explaining the screenwriting.

10:25 you say Don’t would know Little Brian is with Brian because he would’ve dropped him off at his house. BUT in the director’s cut, there’s a scene where Mia shows up to pick up Little Brian instead so Dom could come on this mission, in that scene, Dom doesn’t tell Mia what the mission is which is why she says he could’ve told her. So technically Dom doesn’t know that Brian is watching all the kids. Sure he probably would’ve assumed he is since Mia is there and he’s not.

Fast 9 broken Jeremy and the Sin Counter so much that a sin had to be taken off.
There's always an extremely cool moment in a Vin Diesel movie, like the truck magnet. I am sure that he comes up with that moment first then builds a movie around it and doesn't care if the final product is meh or not.

That "tiny track" is actually Irwindale Speedway in California. Its one of the smallest Nascar Tracks and for years hasnt even been used by the company. Im surprised its even here
The funniest thing in this bloated travesty of cartoon physics and mumble talking, at least to me, is that Vin Diesal said, “ Well John Cena may be taller than me now but my younger actor will be a foot taller than his younger actor so take that.”
I'm in no way defending this piece of shit but it is a fact that many younger siblings can end up being taller than their older siblings. That's the only logical thing that makes sense in this movie and I've never seen this movie outside of watching this video. What I want to know is why, just why people are you letting them continue to make this type of garbage?!?!? Well I know why they are continuing because it's now a cash cow for them but still. It no longer makes sense because it can't keep the same fucking plot it seems when every new movie comes out. The movie was supposed to be about cars and racing. I've been having a real tough time lately, harder than ever, so I decided to watch Fast 9 for the first time mainly to watch this sins video after. I couldn't have been happier watching the video. From the near dozens of similarity of sins I mentioned and got to see expressed, to the hilarious jokes, to the positive advertisement of improving one's mental health. I'm proud to be a fan for a near decade now.
When I first saw this movie, I appreciated the fact that Mia only did regular human shit for most of the movie. It makes sense she didn't magically get super powers like everyone else since she wasn't involved in the last few movies.
That probably would have gotten a sin off if it wasn't for her catching and holding JOHN CENA as he was hanging off the side of that tank near the end. Other than that, she really didn't do anything unbelievable imo.
I want to be fair and say...thst was actually the most unbelievable thing. And trust me, I love to take uo for women in movies. As a marine vet, I will.find any excuse to give a woman a win over a man because I've worked with tough women and I think with a fair bit of knowledge, skill and luck and training, a small woman can still.beat a bigger man..and I've been it st least 3x.
However, her holding on to someone like John cena...no lmao.
Quick precise hits and using your opponents momentum is one thing. But pure strength from her size to his size? no.
And while the car bridge scene was ridiculous and so is the space scene for that matter....I'll say this is a percentage that realistically COULD work.
But I cannot give her tht same possibility

I'm not saying mia holding cena isn't but it's more believable than something literally going against the last of physics lol we would need to know how much she can dead lift and his weight before assuming she can't hold him. We got his weight, I'm js there's women in the olympics that aren't that much bigger than her lifting weight that weigh double than cena. So idk

I tend to come up with excuses for movies. To me, I WANT to enjoy movies so I'll come up with anything that can be somewhat realistic even if it requires a great deal of luck. it's a.movie, that's the point. things come together for success.

Ignore how Letty got Dom back up when he was drowning, HOW DID SHE GET INTO THE SHAFT? Remember Dom shut that large steel door and twisted the handle so she couldn't get past. She was banging and screaming on that thing to try to get back, so how once the roof falls in, does she suddenly open that lodged shut door?
How did she manage to get that far down without getting hurt, then drag him out. He fell for a long time. Im still baffled that he can grab a chain and bring down the whole silo by pulling on it.

When me and my bro watched this in theaters, we couldn't help but to identify sins as the movie progressed. They are so outrageous that you literally can't even ignore them anymore like you could in past movies. We were talking mad trash bout the film during the minefield scene, especially since Dom and Jacob are both using ordinary musclecars with normal tires and somehow dodging mines successfully. 😒
Yeah the other movies were dumb but still fun. This one was just frustrating…

I always like looking back and comparing each new and dumber installment to the original. We went from a scene where a man lacerates their arm fatally in a failed truck jacking to literally being a Warner Bros cartoon.

If the author sets fiction rules for what is real and then starts breaking them with no explanation, two things start happening: first the public starts losing interest in the story since they can no longer apply logic to the results and second the characters no longer are in any real danger, since the rules of the fictional world are just bent for convenience.
Why care about the super dupper new bad guy threatening the world if not only the public can't predict the level of danger but any eventual consequence can be easily reversed by the good guys? Why even bother having a story, plot, characters arcs and world building if none of it affects the movie? Just show the CGI fight animation for two hours and call it a movie instead.

Just like the scene when Roman shoots all those military while standing still and being at direct path to the bullets and still manages to suvive without a single scratch. Why someone should care about a marvel fight scene if they can just pull a superpower out of nowhere and escape the situation. Or if the villain wins, they just go back in time and revert all damage?
Not saying it was not fun at the start, since it was novel. The first iron man is one of my favorite movies. But with all the cartoon, CGi and PG13 nonsence, why should someone still cares about the plot anymore?

My mate and I noticed that F9 was out on home media and finally decided to watch it, drinking game style. Made a liter jar or mojito and a list of 10 or 11 things where we have to take a sip, from "Earn that paycheck, Tyrese!" to "Cross on screen."
"Character survives.." was a brutal one.
The first liter of mojito was gone in 15 minutes. If I remember correctly it was 3.5L in total. I do not remember getting home.

The fact that a series like this has like nine movies tells us everything we need to know about humanity. Premise and plot of pretty much each movie are exactly the same. You've seen one you've seen them all. Who is the audience for this and how do they exist?
Low demanding audiences. I'm not gonna pretend I'm only watching high minded stuff, I mean I really liked "Godzilla Vs. Kong", "The Suicide Squad" and "Nobody" this year, but stupidity has a limit for me, and F&F pushed that envelope way too far by the time 7 came around when we keep seeing normal humans survive crazy shit and just go along with it. In fact, given the universe now, it's hard to believe Dom's father died in that crash. I know they are planning to find a way to say he faked his death too.

1-3 were more car movies than anything else.
4 Became more about revenge/action.
5 felt like the right spot to end the series. I mean, besides Han's death in 3, which takes place after 6 anyway, it was a "happy" ending for everyone.
6+ are just really dumb action flicks. That said, 7 had some really cool shots, so I guess I can excuse 6 and 7 as being made for "rule of cool?"
9 is just insane. Also, it just isn't good even from a story-telling perspective. A long lost brother that was NEVER mentioned by anyone? In a family that cares about family more than anything? And it just fucking undermines a lot of scenes from previous movies.
BUT yeah, I can't argue that these movies are good. The whole transition from Crooks, to world-class thieves, to super agent level hijinks to absurd and impossible plans revolving around weapons that can end the world and driving cars into god damn space? HOW? STOP.
MAKE NO MORE.
Part of me just watches to see how far they can keep pushing the envelope at this point. I mean, they can't possible make more than 2 more of these right?

Hopefully ita just 14 to 16 year old boys who still play grand theft auto, and not fully grown adults that go to watch these movies. There was a comment above that I pretty much agree with, that the first movie especially, and maybe up to number 5, were sort of plausible in a "it's a movie so suspend some disbelief" kind of way, they pointed out that in the first one they were almost killed by a single trucker in a big rig with a shotgun, yet from 6 onwards they have turned into some super elite black ops delta squadron who can get out of any scenario.
Because it's simple entertainment, it's like wanting to eat McDonalds or Burgerking. It holds absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever and it may or may not kill you someday, but sometimes you just crave it.
The Fast and Furious movies is just that. It's trash, but it's trash a lot of people wants to consume, yours truly included.

Nothing wrong with enjoying dumb action. Sometimes you want multi-faceted characters, deep conversations, and a complex plot... and sometimes you just want to see things go boom.

The Room was a bad movie that tried to be good, ironically making it more enjoyable.
F9 actively goes out of it's way to be ridiculous dumb. Setting out to make something 'so bad it's good' hardly ever works out. It's like Tommy Wiseau's show 'The Neighbors'. Imagine 'The Room' but 10x worse with none of the fun.
The Room is better. Just for the reason that it's not part of a nine-movie franchise with spin-offs, video games and more garbage.
