Ah Speed- my favorite movie of all time. Glad it got the CinemaSins treatment! Now do that monstrosity of a sequel, where it's so bad it's kind of endearing!
Despite being a sleeper hit. This movie still had some mistakes in it. When Jack & Harry rush to the 32nd floor there was a 3rd guy with them but after they enter the 32nd floor the 3rd guy disappears but comes back again when they grab the hook from the top floor then disappears when Jack is hooking up the Elevator. During Jack & Harry's 1st confrontation with Payne, Jack shoots Harry in the left leg but during the awards ceremony he's limping on the right leg then limps on the left leg again during their victory celebration at the bar. During the 1st bus explosion there's a van in front of the bus & is actually pulling the exploded bus. In the scene where Jack forces Annie to run the red light to drive on to the street, you can actually see a camera installed on the bottom left side of the bus. When Jack tries to stop the bus at the freeway accident area. He smashes the door window but it disappears until the scene where they're back on the 105 just before Jack gets to take an intetest in Annie. The part where the bus enters the 105 Freeway in the same scene you see the bus hit the brakes in front of the police car if you look closely on the side of the on ramp you can actually see a cameraman in the movie. Just when the police escort abandon the bus as it reaches the gap, when we see the gap if you look closely you can actually see the gap casts a shadow of a full bridge. When Howard tells Jack "I want you back real fast!" His lips are actually say "I want you back in 10 minutes!" After Jack gets off the bus to join the LAPD to try & dismantle the bomb. For a brief moment the left zebra bus poster disappears but then reappears during Jack's struggle under the bus. During the scene Jack & Annie finally evacuate the bus via access floor panel, there's a ring on his finger when the Jack character was not a married man, revealing that it was a stunt double also when they fully evacuated the floor panel had wheels when we saw no wheels during Jack's scenes under the bus. The scene at Pershing Square where Jack runs across the street to the garbage can the car that almost hits him is a Ford but in the next shot it becomes a Mazda. From the moment we saw that Payne has taken Annie hostage & hijacking a subway train, he's seen holding a pressure-release detonator, however in the close-up scene of Payne handcuffing Annie to the pole, the pressure-release detonator disappears and reappears on his hand til he loses his head. That would've been it for them. Finally, when we see for a brief moment the exterior of the Hollywood Station Construction, just before the subway car bursts out, we see that the station construction is enclosed but during the scene where the train lays on the right side & a crowd coming in to see what happened while the credits are rolling, there is no enclosure & you can actually see a train track in the middle of Hollywood Blvd revealing they didn't come from underground.
I have always loved the moment where the bus is cleared, we have an entire airport with lots of empty areas to move the bus too so it can blow up nice and safely - and we aim it straight at a multi million pound airplane. Just... because?

You missed the sin where Hopper snaps his fingers on the hand missing a THUMB! Gawd I love this movie. The perfect summer movie. Lots of action, good looking and charismatic leads, good music, and great stunts.
2:15 Payne was able to monitor the bus from an apartment since he could make use of the bus' own radio relay network (which is how a bus can normally transmit to its HQ from anywhere in the city, and can explain how the video signal from the bus was able work so far away), where as transmitting from the core of a large of a building all the way to another building, would be far, far less feasible to pull off without someone noticing all of the extra equipment that would be needed to get a signal out of there.
I love this channel! I’ve been waiting for the sinning of this movie for years just for the bus jump scene alone. Thank you for getting to it and it was worth the wait.
BTS info says that the bus suspension was rigged so that it could lean without tipping so it's partially true that the bus should've at least fell over leaning like that. GM Fishbowls don't lean that hard at 55.
@@blue9multimediagroup what do you mean they don't lean that hard? Like, without the modified suspension, rather than leaning that hard it should've just tipped over?

10:17 The original line he said was "Alright, I want you back in 10 minutes!" but they changed it because he was gone for much longer than 10 minutes. So they made a new error to avoid another error...
"Annie are you ok" holy sh*t, that was funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love MJ
Now, I must go and watch the video. And, NOT there be by MJ.
@@lupomena and he loved you. Assuming you are under the age of 12
@@craigbaker593 lmao this is too fucked up yet true
@@lupomena But you can't deny that his music is good.
Me while clicking this video: "Can't wait to see what he says about the jump" 😂
IT'S FUCKING RAW
I’ve wanted them to cover this movie ever since I watched my first Cinema Sins video years ago. Giving the jump screen 2525 was a brilliant move.
I remember reading in Entertainment Weekly how they did that bus jump stunt around the time the movie was out
“Annie are you okay? Can you tell us, that you’re okay Annie” I’m dead! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also, that wasn’t debris on the ground at the airport. It was bits of the punctured tyres ripping apart on to the ground.
Debris on a runway caused the Concorde crash in Paris.
2 min silence for those who missed this Michael Jackson reference
When Howard tells Jack "I want you back real fast!" His lips are actually say "I want you back in 10 minutes!"
After Jack gets off the bus to join the LAPD to try & dismantle the bomb.
I truly appreciate this list! Challenge accepted! Thanks!
I need 2-3 weeks to read this comment...word by word...
I looked at his lips on mute and he's saying something longer than I want you back in ten minutes. 🤔
Huh???
Time stamps man, time stamps please.
"this is a weird time to assure someone you're a feminist Howard" 😂😂😂😂
The repeated Smooth Criminal references are quite possibly my favorite part. Also, DANG, CinemaSins guy can SING!
I have always loved the moment where the bus is cleared, we have an entire airport with lots of empty areas to move the bus too so it can blow up nice and safely - and we aim it straight at a multi million pound airplane. Just... because?
If we're being honest, it was clearly for the epic explosion that would make Michael Bay blush. But it's still ridiculous in a funny way😂😂
Conveniently they had a plane that they needed to get rid of?😅
"There'd be a piece of sky missing!" - so...basically it'd become 'The Langoliers' with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
i love how he adds 2525 sins for being a "fair judge" and the annie are you ok scene. this dude is amazing
“This Happens often, does it ? “ Lol best comment .
3:13 FINALLY!!!!! Someone else brings up the Forgotten Security Guard! My mom has never stopped bitching about him, how he's forgotten and "nobody died". As soon as I saw the thumbnail for this video, I knew you'd mention him. Vindication ^.^
OK, but really, this is the perfect action movie. The excitement never stops. There's nothing wrong with it.
I agree, it is a good movie

Well someone’s never seen MythBusters.
Hahaha yessss
I watched Myth Busters and don't remember them covering "Speed." I gotta look that up!
that episode was epic. :)
@@feathero3 Yup. Tested and the bus didn't tip over.
Yeah I remember the episode of Mythbusters and I'm still disappointed that Netflix did not have all of Mythbusters
I thought this would be 20 minutes of, "they survive this"
15:26 - Never noticed that the train operator gets shot in the back before the bullets actually go through the door. Thanks slo mo.
When I saw this title, I was like "NOOOOOOOOO!" This is my favorite 90's movie. Still had to watch it though.
It's 3:42am and I'm struggling to stay awake. I saw this and just cracked a beer. Thank you, CinemaSins!
Sounds cozy and relaxing
6:34 - That's hilarious because one of the scariest moments of my life also took place on the expressway in Chicago. I was driving a UHaul with my Impala in tow, so we were advised to keep it below 55. Meanwhile, it was dark, I was in familiar territory and EVERY LAST person was driving like they didn't care if they lived or died.
Lmao “Math Problem for God to solve”
That’s gotta be one hell of a math problem 😂
He could have just boarded a freight bus and followed it around :)
Still one of the best action movies ever.
I love this channel! I’ve been waiting for the sinning of this movie for years just for the bus jump scene alone. Thank you for getting to it and it was worth the wait.
"it's ok! These kids are also full of cans!" 🤣🤣
"Can't make a turn this sharp at 55 without falling over" huh? SOMEBODY didn't watch Mythbusters!
BTS info says that the bus suspension was rigged so that it could lean without tipping so it's partially true that the bus should've at least fell over leaning like that. GM Fishbowls don't lean that hard at 55.
@@blue9multimediagroup I noticed that rewatching it
@@blue9multimediagroup what do you mean they don't lean that hard? Like, without the modified suspension, rather than leaning that hard it should've just tipped over?
As much as I love Speed, this is hands down the best CinemaSins video yet!
7:36 I like how CinemaSins knows NY & Chi. so well.
As a teen watching Speed for the 1st time, I definitely feel in love with Sandy 😍, she's so sweet and adorable, just a cutie.
She was already 30

Never clicked a video so fast. Freaking love this ol' gem.
The way his Lego-Yoda-esque scream keeps going AFTER his decapitation at 16:15 is just amazing, and deserved to have sins removed for it.
I always hated that scene when the swat guys led that woman to her doom. I'm sure there had to be some communication to not take anyone off the bus.
There was that's why they played the camera on a loop so they can try and get everyone off without the man knowing but he figured out it was on a loop and he set off one of the explosions
Something about that lady just irritates me. Maybe cause when i saw her in Childs Play 2, she was a real bitch with Andy. I'm sure she's a nice person in real life
@@JAS0N_M00RE no, the loop scene happened after the lady exploded.
"Try not falling in love with Sandra Bullock in this movie"
Try not falling in love with Sandra Bullock in ANY movie. Seriously, even if you're a straight woman you would take a bullet for Bullock.
True
She's pretty gross
Nope not in any movie. Definitely not Bird Box or that movie with the guy from hangover that they say is a romance. Basically this and Demolition man at best.
Yeah too late for me. I fell in love with her in The Vanishing. A poor remake, but still not a bad movie. One of her first major roles.
She is a 15 out of 10...❤️
The GPS tracker emits a traceable signal that can be detected with a hand-wand. Very widely used, even in the 90s. To be sure the perp doesnt detect the GPS signal, it isnt activated at first... Typically.

“Annie, are you OK? Will you tell us, are you OK, Annie?”
I just finished choking on my own tongue. That was brilliant!
“Ok, you stay here and blow up then.”
😂😂😂😂
9:55 I like how the number of sins he added for the bridge jump (2525) is actually the bus number (its on the roof of the bus). 🤣🤣

I'm pretty sure the best line of the entire movie is Alan Ruck's, "We're at the airport. I've already seen the airport."
Fully AGREE! Even with a HD camera her wildcat insignia is way to small to read. AND thats a hell of an assumption what it meant to anyone.
And facing the wrong way 🤣
I just realized, Jeff Daniels was in Speed AND Dumb and Dumber in the same year! And people think 2020 was crazy!
