Why mention that it's low budget? It's just a classic 80s teen movie from John Hughes. If it's low budget, that doesn't really show on film, and it certainly doesn't affect my enjoyment of it. What does affect my enjoyment of it is the knowledge that the actor who plays the principal later turned out to be a paedophile. Really makes some of his scenes creepy as hell.
