I personally still love the national treasure movies.. I was sad when a third never got into production. Yes it’s far fetched, but a great movie to just watch and relax on a cloudy day ❤️

My 8th grade history teacher made us watch this movie. His class was very fun and engaging and the movie was nice for before winter break. Honestly probably my favorite class ever.

Tigerman1138 alex jones is one of the more famous American conspiracy theorists. So the idea that the declaration of independence is tied to some big thing etc.

I watched this movie in a movie theatre in Greece and at some point they say "How old is this?" "Very old! ...200 hundred years old!". The whole theatre laughed!
I guess you had to be there.
It's funny because in Greece the majority of historical artefacts are at least 2000 years old

At one point in time, the only DVD my dad had was this movie. He had no internet, no cable, just National Treasure. At one point in my life, I could quote this movie, word for word. I miss those days.

@@whoknows7968 nah. I lived with my mom for the most part so I only had to deal with National Treasure for a long weekend and every other Wednesday. After his roommate died, he got more DVDs.

The pyramids and the Great Wall weren't built by slaves, but The Washington Monument and the White House most certainly were.

All 3 of you are semi wrong. The pyramids were 'most likely' built by farmers during seasonal non work time, and also captured -slaves from foreign territory or wars. The great wall was built by soldiers and prisoners. A prisoner in China during this period could easily be considered a slave.

It's amazing, one of my favorites to relax with. It's kinda cheesy at times, but seriously, it's worth a watch (or ten). It has that perfect treasure hunting element; solving riddles and whatnot.
The whole "mid trailer conspiracy rant" was absolutely amazing.

I liked National Treasure. Sure: It's goofy, but it's one of the very few heist/adventure films that I could watch with my young nephews back in the day.
