At one point in time, the only DVD my dad had was this movie. He had no internet, no cable, just National Treasure. At one point in my life, I could quote this movie, word for word. I miss those days.

I liked National Treasure. Sure: It's goofy, but it's one of the very few heist/adventure films that I could watch with my young nephews back in the day.
All 3 of you are semi wrong. The pyramids were 'most likely' built by farmers during seasonal non work time, and also captured -slaves from foreign territory or wars. The great wall was built by soldiers and prisoners. A prisoner in China during this period could easily be considered a slave.
this is one of my favorite goofy, "turn your brain off" movies, but all kidding aside, the score is insanely good and seriously underrated. it's way better than this movie deserves and one of my favorite film scores outside of anything composed by john williams or hans zimmer.
i loved the movie. historical conspiracy theory stories like this only work if you don't think about them too hard and they keep things moving, and since the movies are meant to be enjoyed by a varied audience they cant have too many obscure landmarks or artifacts so its best to stick to famous recognizable ones. The movie was a good conspiracy story and a great action comedy.

It's amazing, one of my favorites to relax with. It's kinda cheesy at times, but seriously, it's worth a watch (or ten). It has that perfect treasure hunting element; solving riddles and whatnot.
My 8th grade history teacher made us watch this movie. His class was very fun and engaging and the movie was nice for before winter break. Honestly probably my favorite class ever.
