Of all the songs, Mansoor likes the 20th Century Fox theme the most 😂 39:42
😄
Yes, this music is the preparation for a great adventure! ;) Can you (Mansoor) take a look at the link? Your music.
ruclips.net/video/rspzzsMRl-E/видео.html
I think the first5 time I ever saw/heard it was this movie (which yes, I saw in the cinema when it orginally came out 😎) so...I always associate the 20th Century Fox theme with Star Wars (not matter what movie it's attached to).
@@redcardinalist I’ve heard the Star Wars theme was originally written in a different key, but John Williams transposed it to match the 20th Century Fox theme to make it feel like one piece of music and be a smooth intro for the viewer.
@@redcardinalist I am born 86 and Star Wars with his classic hymne is my favourite. Best Soundatmosphere 🙂
"You should be like your father".
Yeah! .....He....uh.... ....yeah!
Well done naveed for recognising Harrison Ford from watching the first Indiana jones movie
Boy, are they in for a surprise. Looking forward to them seeing the other two
I love how they appreciate the music
I was 14 when this came out. We had never seen anything like it. And 1977 was a great year for movies and music overall.
I was 18 when it was released. Two friends and I skipped out of school to see it. We sat through the first two showings before the ushers threw us out. 😁
When the Death Star exploded, the audience literally gave a standing ovation. It's the only time I've ever seen such a strong reaction to a movie scene.
@@stefanlaskowski6660 It was so much fun. I can’t remember who brought me to see it. I know it wasn’t my parents but I saw it. Maybe Rocky was the only one during that time where people were super excited at the end.
I was 14 too..saw it many times. Sometimes just say there til it started again
@@bg7606 oh man, I forgot we used to do that. No one really checked between movies.
@@stefanlaskowski6660I had the same thing with the third LotR movie, Return of the King. In two places actually; the first when Eowyn decapitated the Witch King's fell beast, and the other following her stabbing the Witch King in the face. In the 30 years (at the time) I'd been seeing movies in a cinema, I had never once seen such devotion to a character and it resultant overflow of emotion.
I laughed at Naveed dancing to the bar scene music! 🙂 And he loved the rest of the music too. John Williams has a new fan!
Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes certainly have some catchy tunes. It’s a shame they didn’t gain much popularity beyond the Outer Rim Territories, but I respect their decision to stick to instrumentals. That’s integrity, even in such a wretched hive of scum and villainy (the music industry _and_ the Mos Eisley Cantina).
This is my fourth film I have watched with Mansoor and Naveed. I first saw Jurrasic Park, Jaws, and Titanic. What makes me very happy is that the translations seem to be very accurate and they have full comprehension of the dialog.
I can't wait for them to see the other two movies!
Awesome pick you guys! Thank you for doing it in the original release order 🙌 i cant wait to watch with you guys 🤓🍿
I love how these guys understand star wars. Thanks for showing them this. They will love the whole series I reckon
"You've taken your first step into a larger world" Star Wars: Episode IV is such a fun movie, a true classic film, have fun with the next installments, Empire Strikes Back is most peoples favorite. It was a - blast - watching this film with these two gentlemen
...pun intended lol
I do believe The Force will be with them.
I love these boys! Love from the UK !
Back in the day of 1977, this was the best movie then and we kids all went to see it and more than once. Where I was the kid that had seen it the most was the winner and some kids saw it 14 times!!!! We all went crazy for it so much we new the lines in the movie by the end of summer. It was the best time. Then the toys came out on the market and then we went crazy again. We all fell in love with Hans and thought the same as these two gentlemen that the Princess would pick the young Jedi. Later we found out more.
Our parents could afford to send us to a movie so many times back then. I was 13, so I was an adult ticket, my sister was 9 so a kid admission, and we went at least 10 times together that first Summer that we still have stubs for. Our parents were being really tight with money because we had just moved across country and building a new house was expensive (as I heard a lot as the oldest kid). But there was always money for us to the mall and sit in the front row of the theater together to watch Star Wars again! Great memories!
It is truly a delight to watch you young men enjoy this for the first time. I am an old Aunty who saw it in the theater on the big screen when it first came out in 1977. It felt like flying through space during that war. Funny thing: On May 4, everyone greets each other by saying, May the Fourth Be With you.
I was 7 years old when this film was released. I was too young to fully understand how revolutionary it was. All I knew is that I had never seen anything like it. I imagine only "talkie" films with sound in the late 1920s seemed more astonishing to those who first saw them. When I was a boy, I counted how many times I had seen this film; I lost track after 30 viewings!
16:38 that is a universal reaction that cross's all cultures and language
❤❤---I am way excited they started this journey! Can't wait for V.
Same here
Wow, great reaction!
"Luke you have to take revenge."
"You should be like your father."
Such wonderful innocent irony. :)
It is great ro find people who don't know main plot points before seeing this film.
Thank you so much for starting with the original trilogy. The over-arching context makes way more sense for first time viewers in this order
@Antonio-Gransci yes it does. The weight of knowing who luke and leia are when they're born is one example. People who have never seen the film won't be hit with the same gravitas when Obi hands the twins over to Owen, if they had seen the original trilogy first
@Antonio-Gransci alright man, you do you
@@lanowyn i mean, I think the best example point isn't even minor character or plot stuff like that, but the fact that episodes 1-3 are not just prequels but literal SEQUELS to the OT. Like, the point is that the republic/neoliberalism inherently leads to fascism, so that when the "alliance to restore the republic" wins in the OT and the republic is reinstated the whole thing loops back around to episodes 1-3. The 2 series together kind of work together as this infinite loop about the failure of the rebel/republic system, y'know? Luke's prinicipled suicide in Return of the Jedi is our map out of this loop.
But honestly I think Antonio might legit be too media illiterate to realise any of this stuff despite it not being subtle at all.
@Antonio-Gransci "The big twist for first time viewers is Anakin getting the suit" -- what? No, the big twist is that big scary badass intimidating Darth Vader is just a whiny immature fascist socially awkward loser. Like the entire fucking joke is to subvert Vader's image by showing that he's basically just Kyle Rittenhouse or Ben Shapiro or whatever in power armour. The joke doesn't work if you don't experience the "cool" Vader first, you goober. It's a good joke, too!
Fuck man, watching the prequels first also kills the similar joke with Yoda and with Jedi in general (the former that he's actually an impotent little gremlin who joined the war because it made him feel important and virile again rather than for moral reasons, the latter that they're a psychopathic cult that basically acts a thuggish police force for a corrupt and evil government). Like, neither of these (very good) jokes work if you don't experience "Wise old yoda" or "noble knightly jedi" first.
@@user-iz7sp9bj4u well put
the moment where luke fires and lets out his breath always gives me chills. So glad these wonderful guys get to experience these great movies.,
Been waiting for this reaction, for like ever. So happy they are watching in the "correct/release" order, otherwise the story gets wierd. Can't wait for further reactions, with these two; they are quite expressive. 👍😊
So good!
@Antonio-Granscibullshit, there’s is only one right way, this way.
@Antonio-Gransci Most people who went to see the prequels in movie theater probably knew those things. Millions watched these movies for years before the prequels were released so it makes sense to watch these first. Also it doesn't really matter what Lucas says about the watching order over 20 years after the originals.
@Antonio-Gransci Nitwit.
@Antonio-Gransci I hope you are a troll and not serious. :D
I’m so happy you guys liked it so much. I’ve been hoping you would watch all the Star Wars movies. Great reactions! You guys have become my favorites. The absolute best was listening to Mansoor at the end. Great music!
This is one of my favourite films of all time. So glad to watch you react to it!
This was the best reaction ever of them ! Loved it and I'm looking forward to "Empire strikes back" ... they will suffer with our heroes. :)
omg watch this whole series
Thank goodness more fun movie than some of your recents. ❤
I was 23 when this came out. I changed movies for me forever.
We will watch these two young Padawans Careers with great intrest.
This is quite possibly one of my favorite, if not favorite, reactions I've seen. So genuine. This was my first movie I saw when I was a child and shaped me for the rest of my life, and I'm so envious for them getting to see it for the first time.
I saw this movie when I was seven years old, and it’s weird and awesome seeing adults have the same reactions
I love how excited they were to find Indiana Jones in Star Wars.
Welcome to Star Wars fandom, lads! Hope you enjoy the journey.
Space farmer saves galaxy. Can't get any better than that. 😄
Hope you enjoy it!
Such a delight to see people enjoy themselves with something for the first time.
1977 Star Wars truly is unique .
It’s got all the ingredients to make a great movie.
Welcome to the Star Wars family brothers .
18:15 what a wonderful reaction...that was awesome :) Good journey...Peace!
I cannot WAIT for these guys to see Empire Strikes Back!!!
Excellent choice! Can't wait to enjoy the series with them!
Do this special effects in 1977 without computers was really remarkable!!!
this was the first use of computers, just not CGI, the computers were used to control the motion of the camera...
@@akeel_1701 Yes...and this technique to "program" the cameras movement was so innovative that without it the film don't be done at that time!!!
I don't know if gentlemen we told this. But the actor that played Obi won is named Sir Alec Guinness. A very famous and respected actor who did plays written by William Shakespeare. He is a Knight which is a very important title in England. So it was unusual for him to in this movie because the director was unknown, it was science fiction, and it unsure whether it would be a success. But Guinness read the script and because his wisdom, he knew it would be something special. And he was right. It was a phenomenon
I was 16 when this came out and I was immediately hooked.
The next episode, The empire strikes back, is even better and the best of the trilogy of Luke Skywalker.
This is not the original movie but a later revised version.
Was 16 when this came out. Loved it!
Great reaction guys! Can't wait for more! ❤❤❤❤
One of my favorite parts of the reaction is how they think Luke might actually have been killed by the trash compactor monster. They're not spoiled by even knowing the EXISTENCE of the storyline, so to them, anyone can be killed at any time. Because they dont know about plot armor, the tension and uncertainty they feel comes through the screen. It's wonderful to watch.
I bet these two would like Dune (2021).
My dad loves this movie. Showed me when I was real young
Awesome reaction. This is a legendary movie. Hope you do all 9. By the way, "Yo Mama so fat, Obi Wan said, 'That's no moon. That's yo mama!'" lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Awesome reaction! The music is by John Williams who is arguably the greatest modern composer. All the Star Wars music, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Jaws, Schindler's List...an endless list. His scores are just masterpieces.
I saw Star Wars in the movie theater as a child. Classic!
The wonder, excitement on his face... star wars brings out the curious child in all of us. Still bringing that wonderment years later and cultures far far away!
Take revenge, be like your father! Just wait my friends, it gets deeper haha. Love this.
Naveed already dressed like Han Solo😂
A great story from a far off galaxy. Looking forward to your reactions to the saga 👍
Great pick! ❤
It makes me happy that no matter who you are or where your from, pretty much everyone loves Star Wars.
Solo is Indiana Jones that is why he looks familiar.😁
I love these two guys. The best to watch movies with.
It starts slow in this first movie. The studio didn't know they had a tiger by the tail yet. After Empire Strikes Back they understood this changed everything. Sequels were in and they were better than the original unlike old Hollywood. The film franchise and toy line was born.
Love their reactions
One of the greatest movies ever made
loved seeing your reactio and to see a couple guys that literally have had no acual spoilers of any knid period , makes it even better. if you thought the visuals were mind blowing, imagine seeing this in 1977 compered to movies back than
Fun Fact: The name "Wookiee" for Chewbacca's species comes from the George Lucas movie THX 1138, a Wookiee or Shell Dweller was a prisoner who was kept in solitary confinement for trying to escape the underground city.
@Antonio-Gransci Fixed it. Thank for the heads up.
After being forced to watch "The Thing", they needed to watch this to balance the scales.
This channel is awesome! It brings back memories for me, the way I felt when I watched these movies for the first time! Seeing others react with wonder and awe, to these classics makes my heart sing! It's also informative, being able to view another culture, responding, with their own observations about films that I have grown to admire and cherish. It actually, makes me see things from their own points of view and gain an understanding of their values as well. Great Job!
Wow, thanks!
@@Cinephilesreact786 Im a film teacher, in San Antonio, TX and I subscribe to your channel. I introduced the channel to my girlfriend and she loves the video you did when they screened TITANIC!
Nice! Not a huge Star Wars fan. Enjoy the movie!
My Mom bought the record album- I think it was a 2 set. We wore that record out!
I remember my dad taking me to see these when they got rereleased in the 90s. Such fond memories. Glad you gentlemen enjoyed it
Excellent reaction. 👌
"Star Wars" is one of the most famous cinematic sagas. He revolutionized the representation of science fiction graphically and technically.
The music has become iconic, a few notes are enough to recognize the main theme.
And the characters are now iconic too (Dart Vader's helmet and cloak are synonyms of "villain par excellence").
Obviously I love the Star Wars universe since 1977. 😎
Great job guys! This must be the best Star Wars reaction I've seen, can tell they were really loving it.
This has become my favorite RUclips channel so far.
guys i cant tell you how excited i am for this one :)
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of both Star Wars and reaction videos. I use the reactions to connect (ideologically) with people from diverse nations, cultures and ethnicities in an attempt to find common ground and create a foundation for understanding. I follow numerous (global) immigrants to Canada, as well as channels based in Bulgaria, Romania, Nova Scotia, India, Pakistan, Spain, Australia, Ireland, Scotland, England, USA, Colombia, and countless other countries. When I see the reactors become emotional, whether through happiness, excitement, sadness, incredulity or whatever other emotion they portray it provides both context and insight into their values, aspirations, hopes or regrets. Granted, when the videos are in a language that I do not speak, reading the subtitles requires a bit of effort, but it pays off when I am able to gain a new perspective through a people-group that I would not have discovered in my own languages. Keep up the good work and thanks for big, easy to read subtitles.
It should be noted, the composer for this, John Williams, regularly works George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, and you've heard his music in Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, and ET, he's truly one of the masters of composing music for films.
Just a few minutes left, and this has been one of the best reactions I've seen!👍👍
You two reacted just like I did in 1977. I absolutely loved this. I will definitely watch more of you guys!✌️❤️
Wow, thank you!
Perfect timing with India landing on the moon! Congratulations and may you have many more tasks completed!
They're from Pakistan, India and Pakistan don't like each other. It's a long story but Pakistan was created in 1947 for Muslims because the Hindus didn't want them in India, it's a religious thing, kinda like how Protestants and Catholics hate each other and the United Kingdom formed Northern Ireland for the Protestants to keep them from killing each other in a Civil War in 1920.
Well you can't go wrong with Star Wars can you.I think everyone,no matter where they come from in the world, will love this film. This is the I went to see most at the cinema back in 77,during the school holidays, going 11 time's.
Should introduce them to Superman 1979, Batman 1989, and Spiderman 2002.
It was an awesome film to watch as a child
Can we do a GoFundMe to send these dudes to Disney or Universal and get their ride reactions? Can you imagine these dudes at Galaxy's Edge or on Start Tours or something?
you are aware that Singapore would be closer or Shanghai since Universal and Disneyland theme parks are outside of the US
nice idea but right now it is not possible to do, as I am focused on other things
Nice. A truly fresh viewing. I will enjoy this.
I feel like these two would love Top Gun. Excellent reaction as always.
You two gentlemen were wonderful to watch this with. Seeing this movie cross cultures and be as rewarding for you as it was for us was a joy to share!
I was in my late twenties when this came out. I took my nephew, who was eight at the time to see it. He loved it so much we went together again 10 more times! Then we had a competition over the years to see you saw it in the theater more times. I won at 21 times. He made it to 14 times. I went to the 8pm showing in New York City the day it opened. Afterwards my two friends and I went to a late night sushi bar frequented by musicians, actors and entertainers. We were having our appetizers when the cast of Star Wars (Mark, Harrison, Carrie and Anthony (C3PO) entered and was seated right near us. We congratulated them on the movie . We told them we thought they were all great! Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford, who weren't seated yet came over to us and said thank you and shook our hands. They went back to their table and enjoyed the food. Great Night. Great Movie! and Great Reaction!
Wonderful reactions 😊 I must have been 7 or 8 when I first saw Star Wars in the 90's. And it has been a part of my life ever since
The Force is strong with these two… I wonder if they remember Lindsey Sterling and Taylor Davis Star Wars music videos?
Thank you, they remember that music but maybe they forgot while watching movie
Enjoy the ride guys.
I’m glad they like the music too
LA GUERRA DE LAS GALAXIAS CAMBIÓ LA CULTURA Y POR QUE NO LA HISTORIA, SE CONVIRTIÓ EN PATRIMONIO DE LA HUMANIDAD.
Saludos amigos desde Costa Rica.
ustedes si saben apreciar una buena película
Oh guys if you love this one your gonna live Episode 5 and 6
I'm so excited for them to see all the episodes of Star Wars! Don't forget, after Episode III, they must see Star Wars: Rogue One, it helps create context for Episode IV
am so glad you enjoyed the movie, I was 8 when the movie came out in 77, my late dad took me to see it,I remember if it was yesterday, on the bug screen, with my hot dog and coke...however what you seen is the added version, which wasn't in the 77 version, for example jaba the hut was actually a human, but George Lucas took the scene away as he wanted a slug like creature 30 years later in 97 he re edited the scene and replaced it with a slug when han walked behind jaba they made him step on his trail as a pose to walking behind a human,
same when ben deactivated the tractor beam the sign was in English but was edited to an alien type language.
but having said all that am glad you seen the version that George Lucas originally wanted first time round.
It's always a pleasure to watch your genuine reactions.
You guy's are awesome..this channel.. should be at the top
I saw this in theaters when I was 7 years old, started collecting the comics that same month.
The Marvel comic series had a 6 issue mini-series re-telling the movie, Issue #1 began right where Star Wars leaves off, mostly it's 2 story arcs, Keeper's World and Kingdom Of Ice as well as how Luke and Wedge formed Rogue Squadron.
By Issue 38 there's another 6 Issue mini-series of Empire, then Issue 39-70 followed Luke, Lando, Leia, Chewy and the droids as they chased Boba Fett around the galaxy to get Han's body back, except someone stole Han's body from Boba Fett and he had to hire Bossk to help get it back, then the 6 Issue Jedi series and Star Wars continued on after that until Issue #107
Every Star Wars fan should get the comics in TPB, they're canon and fill in what happened between the movies.
You guys are so fun. Your reactions are so relatable. You come across as being genuine.
I thought Star Wars never mentions 'robots' just droids.
But in the scene just before Luke races home, he mentions robots!
Starting from 14:30
After these, you can show them Spaceballs!
I was gonna say the same thing.
Same. They've seen ALIEN and now STAR WARS. SPACEBALLS is the next logical step
And after Spaceballs, Thumb Wars. Then maybe the original Frankenstein, the Mel Brooks version and Frankenthumb?
Honestly I think a lot of jokes will be lost in translation. Not sure it would have the impact it did on english speakers in western socities. Would be the same with a movie like Airplane.
I like that you were like “well obviously Ben Kenobi is Owiwan Kenobi” lol
It’s not a good disguise lol
Loved your movie reaction guys starwars is my favourite science fiction movie of all time waiting for your next reaction bye
I truly hope they get to watch all the episodes including rouge one, which was my favourite.
Glad these guys got to watch this.
Big smiles here 😁 I really enjoyed seeing You Guys get to watch Star Wars 👍 thanks for sharing with us🤗 I hope to see you watch the next episode real soon 😊
So weird to see that in some parts of the world, Star Wars is unheard of, when it's such a huge deal in other parts of the same world!!!
"It appears Luke has fallen in love with her." Uh, about that...
Oh, joy! Another classic begins! This movie inspired so many others.. Maybe sometime they'll see Kurosawa`s Hidden Fortress, which inspired this.
