Stevie clean and sober. His playing got tighter, yet you can see when he’s having a great time improvising. Can’t help but shed a tear at the profound loss.

Clapton said (quote as best as I can remember)... "I almost walked away from the stage the first time I saw him (SRV) play - the blues flowed out of him in such an easy way it seemed to me and without thinking, at times in a literal flood. No one, including BB, Albert, Hendrix or myself played the blues like this. I felt intimidated, but in a good way".
    High praise from God himself.

That move he does at 5:33 when he transitions to the rhythm section is just epic. He truly feels the music with his whole body.

I saw him in Omaha and he had hired a local horn section that was well known in town. He not only named them about 20 times, but he walked off stage to keep the ligthts off of him while the horn section did their thing. He gave them so much encouragement and credit, it made me admire him even more for being such a decent human being, on top of being such a huge talent. We miss you Stevie, and all the positive energy you put out.
