    I own one and really like it! However I would say before u consider buying one, really ask yourself if this is the right choice. I imagine that if u are someone who likes sitting in a nice comfy chair all day and aren't an overall active or fidgety person that you wouldn't be a huge fan of chairs like this. Even before I bought this type of chair I would usually be moving around in my chair and getting up and taking a walk every hour or less. I also knew that I enjoyed working on regular stools, so the posture part wouldn't be a big issue for me. I also have ADHD so this has been a huge help with my hyperactivity. TL;DR: if u don't already move around regularly while working you will probably dislike this chair lol
    One last thing- these are also great for just normal desks. I don't have a standing desk and pretty much sit at normal chair height with them.

    The majority of these "problems" aren't really the problems but the good things. The traditional chairs are nothing but detrimental so it's bad that people can sit in that type of chairs for a whole day. Changing positions, moving, standing, sitting cross-legged, etc. is the only option if we want to maintain the healthy body

    I disagree with the comment about productivity on this video. In my case, I feel much better using the standing desk chair since 2020 until now.

      My productivity went up by 10x by changing to standing/perching. If I slouch in a traditional chair my brain turns to mush idk why.

    Thanks you for this! Was hugely informative. Because of your feedback, I've decided to hold off getting a purchasing stool at this point. You've saved me some money and frustration. Really appreciate your post!

    Good video, but when sitting at a desk, you need to position so that the forearms are on the table, being supported, otherwise you might develop carpal tunnel symptoms.

    what about chairs with adjustable foot wrest and arm wrest like drafting chairs. Basically standard office chair that is just taller for standing only desk.

    • @robertlehrer233
      @robertlehrer233 8 месяцев назад

      Drafting chairs seem like the logical solution; easy to sit, easy to stand without having to frequently raise or lower the desk height.

    What about saddle stools?

    • @KorokuGaming
      @KorokuGaming Год назад

      They are the ultimate in ergonomic sitting but imo only the salli brand is actually decently designed and those are really expensive.
      I have IKEA lidkullen and it does about 70% of the job of a saddle chair for way less money, I can sit with proper posture pretty easily on it.

    Ok. I hope that people aren't deterred from getting a standing desk chair because of this review. These are designed for your health first and not necessarily your comfort first because if they were too comfortable, you probably wouldn't stand up. They are designed to get you off your fat @55 and move around, to increase blood flow through the legs and to engage your core muscles to improve your posture. Will it be a little uncomfortable in the beginning? Yes. but your body will strengthen and adjust. Yes, maybe there needs to be some improvements to accommodate for taller / heavier people. As the market strengthens for this type of chair, I'm sure those improvements will come. Some of the ones I researched held weight to almost 270. But, I had to stop watching when he said it doesn't come with wheels. Really? Wheels? You're practically standing. Stand up the rest of the way and go get what you need. That's the whole point of this type of chair, to engage the body so that you improve blood flow and strengthen those lazy muscles you don't use while sitting in a standard desk chair. If you were convinced by this review, then you're probably a lazy American. Good luck to ya.

    Problem one: using a chair with your standing desk just turns it back into a sitting desk…

      You're right. But with a tall chair (architect's chair), it's simple to get up and sit down.
