    You almost simply threw that bigger rock to the side...in your pursuit of Gold...but then you pulled back and gave that rock a couple taps ...just in case. Lord I love seeing a pro in action.

    My wife, cousin, and myself each picked a crevice and the weight of the gold we thought would be found there and then eagerly awaited the release of part 2. Well tonight we sat down together and watched the results. Though we did not win it was still extremely fun. We thank you for the opportunity to participate and hope you do it again.

    That was a fun contest to be a part of, thank you Gary!
    I picked crevice #1 for the same reasons you explained in this video, the only problem was that I was way off the mark. My guess was the same weight as all the crevices combined.
    Thanks again, Jason.👏👍✌️

    Gary, great game and so much fun. I'd just like to express the appreciation of all your subscribers for all the work and effort you put into your channel. To go to the locations you do, and film, and offer your experience to us amateurs is a great deal of work, and for that and everything else, a great big thank youuuu. We're all looking forward to your expedition out with the high-banker. Keep it going and thank you.

    Hi Gary, I just want to say that your videos are the only only only youtube videos where there are not a bunch of obnoxious clowns making negative contents. You are a natural, and I would much rather love watching you instead of Dave Turin (God Bless Him).
    So keep on doing what you are doing the good old fashioned way.
    Aloha, Paul

    Hey Gary, I wasn't up to speed on the contest opportunity, but as always, when I got caught up on your latest videos, you educated us all yet again. Once more you've left me with a more discriminating eye for what I'm looking at in all that chaos!
    Love that you pull so much lead out of the creeks, too. Thanks for making a point if it.

    Gary I love the videos and this contest. I have been following you for quite a while. As a result I found Vo-Gus and PioneerPauly. So thank you! But I must say your videos are my favorite. I live in Northern California, Sacramento area. Knowing you are prospecting in my backyard, so to speak, motivates me to get out and do some prospecting. Don’t get to to go nearly as often as I would like, stupid work. But your videos always get me moving to get out there. Would love to go prospecting with you sometime. Away thank Gary! Wow what timming, results in on a lazy sunday morning down under.
    Well breakfast can wait.
    Happy to have been one of the 20 odd percent that picked 1 . As well ...i learnt from you ,and was just happy that i am on the right track as you thought it looked best too. But I allways was worried about 3 though lol incase that river really gets pumping. Oh well my plan was to try and double my gold take since i started collecting it about a year ago lol. No easy gold today it seems. Well i haven't been to look at this new spot i found on the map five minutes away yet. Thanks Mate now go highbank us another episode. Cheers Bruce.

    I truly enjoy your videos. They are matter of fact and very informative.My first pan was in june I'm 66 yo and learned enough to find the shiney from your videos along with Adam, Shane,Dan Hurd, Pauly, Jeff williams, and more but I got it ! Small investment in tools and every time I go prospecting the fever gets worse. Winter is on its way so prolly wont get out to many more times but... lol. Thank you for sharing enough for an old man to figure it out enough to be successful , a piece of micro gold i can and do call a successful outing. No clue what Id do if I ever get a smile in my reveal.Its a wickid addiction we have but what fun! Ill carry your highbanker in for you lol

    I never got in on the contest because it was to late. But by watching some of your other video's and studying the thing you have been talking about in the past , I could see in the video why number three look so good. You could actually see the slight indentation in the rock ledge to make me thing it was the best possible location. I may never get to go pan for Gold but through your video;s I feel the excitement as though I was right next to you. Just a old lady with dreams of still one day getting to pan for Gold. HH

    I used to live near the site of America's first major gold rush:Reeds Goldmine. Cabarrus County, NC. I've been there and the Cotton Patch Goldmine near Albemarle, NC. I've got a sluice and Desert Fox. Sold most of what I had found to help a friend...now nowhere near good gold...I picked #3 because I liked where the wall was...I could see a flash flood moving heavier gold up against the wall where it would drop slowly because of the force of the water against it. I can't remember the amount though. Do this again! Wish I could come out there. I've never been further west than Kentucky.

      I am rethinking #3. I was surprized to find the picker, who knows what lurkes under the gravel just below that crevice. Now I have to pack my gear, my camera, and the highbanker all the way back in there. I think I will wait untill I have two days, that way I can leave everything in over night. Two days for the price of one!

    Gary, do you (or have you) ever use(d) a "blue bowl" for processing fine gold? Recommended, or not quite as good as other methods? Thanks for your efforts out in the field and behind the camera. End results are always professional...

    • @TwoToes
      @TwoToes  6 лет назад

      Yes I have used a blue bowl. They started in Oroville, not far from where I live, they were called d.a.m. bowl. They work very well. But they have 2 issues. First, the material has to be classified, what you put in the bowl has to all be the same size. Second they are slow, it will take about a hour to process a couple of cups of blacksand. The good things - They are fairly cheep ($ 75), very light and portable, they can be used at home with a garden hose of in the field with a small 12 volt pump. They will recover very fine gold if you take a little time and set the water flow correctly. Thanks - Gary

    Maybe do a contest were the winner gets to go out with you for a weekend. I know I prefer digging my own gold instead of trying to win someone else's . Just me .

    • @TwoToes
      @TwoToes  6 лет назад +4

      I have thought about that. The problem I have is, I have no idea when I will get to go mining. If a job gets behind I have to work weekends to get caught up or some jobs they will only let me do the work on the weekends. Then you have to factor in the weather and water height. If I ever retire, then I think it would be a little easer.

    Morn'n! Dang, didn't know about the contest. Need to come by more regularly. OK. watch you clean out a crevice and put all the material in a pan and then go to the water. Do you ever go back to the crevice you just cleaned and scan with a detector or a little hand locator. Seems to me that without a brush to sweep clean the crevice you might be missing something. Enjoy your videos. Keep'em coming.

    Well .I didn't win but it was still fun to enter ,I picked 2 , but I wished I had picked 3 because if you counted the lead it might nearly have been 3.2 grams , all in the fun of it , hope you do it again sometime Gary ,cheers.
