WE LOVE IT! What a great video. We have been following you guys from the beginning and this is a great recap. You touched on all the highs and some of the lows. I really like when you speak sailor talk. Both of your confidence in sailing makes the travels days so much fun to watch. We love you guys because you inspire each other, inspire your kids, inspire us. We love that you want to make a difference in the world, no matter where you go. This is what separates you from all the rest. You are constantly seeking out what others purposely avoid. I am not speaking of "dangerous". I am speaking of finding the less travel paths and meeting the people who live along the route. Thank you for bringing us along.

I’ve spent the entire day binging your channel. This video popped up on my feed, I watched enough of it to think, hold up…Two babies on their boat on this amazing journey around the world?! So I put this video on pause and went back 6 years. I feel like I know you now. Your channel is probably the most raw and honest on RUclips. You’ve shared your highs and lows, and everything in between. Ashley, you’re amazing and beautiful. If I I hadn’t seen your baby bumps I’d never believed you’d had two babies so recently. No after babies belly at all!! So j. Lol.
Anyway, your children are amazing and I am so impressed with how you’ve chosen to raise them. Yes, they’re fine. And they’re blessed. To have parents that want them to see the world with them.
I applaud you guys for living your truth, your way. You were blessed with the ability to live your dreams, and others should try it. While they can.

The way you raise your kids is great. I raised a toddler in deepest Africa. She loved it. Life was amazing. She ate dirt- it’s good for kids. She’s now 16 and never been sick a day in her life.

HI, I have actually followed you guys for years all the way back to papua etc. This video was so incredibly inspiring. I followed you through all of the boat problems and everything you described and for me as well I thought "Man, these guys are never going to get going again" and THEN YOU DID! This video put it all together and raised both of you to another level. I have been to Madagascar as well and felt the poverty and also the simplicity and commonality of the people. So happy you've made it this far, family intact. There are many sailing channels on RUclips these days, however, few are really about the trip - sans T&A and partying. Your show and Sailing Florence are among the few that we feel are straight forward, honest epics with little hustle and more humanity. Here's wishing you calm seas and safety. We are Arcanum, a 40 Caliber LRC, heading south-by-southwest from Oregon late summer 2024. Things are about to change internationally. My suggestion is ... stay GONE from the N Hemisphere and learn Chinese (for radio calls : ). Perhaps we will one day meet? It is a small planet! Thanks for sharing your story for so many years. Well guys , how amazing . Having sailed / motor'd with a few boats over the years i felt such envy and admiration.
I moved to Fiji 20 years ago with our 4 children about yours ages.
They still talk about their times there and the freedom it gave them .
Funny how they remember somethings and not other's.

I think it is great that you are doing this with your kids at this age. once they will be in middle - high school, you won't have time. And they will have had this great experience young.

Really well done video. Really a documentary of your adventures, hardships and joys. I have been throuh a lot of this stuff with my wife and I as crew. Although we cruised with the kids out of the nest. (Much easier) but still young enough. But you guys went through a LOT more hardships than we did. Tougher areas, weather and with little KIDS. Wow, you are both amazing.
And although we. Has an older monohull ( Kelly Peterson 44). We in 10 yrs on that boat cruising, we never had any significant problems. Just the usual. No structural issues. The worst mechanical break down we had ( the only that I couldn’t fix myself was we lost the transmission) and limped into a remote port in extreme south Mexico. We got it rebuilt for a fifth of what it would have cost in the US or Canada.
So I know that you really went through a lot of adversity and hardships. And you did it with amazing attitude and ability. Congrats and looking forward to your ALUMINUM cat!!!! Great choice.

I’m full of admiration for you guys and your open minded acceptance .The world is full of tech savvy people and streetwise kids, technology leaps ahead at an astounding pace , things that were science fiction as little as 30/ 40 years ago are part of everyday life today yet we are afraid of everything all the dangers all the terrible things that MIGHT happen today tomorrow or next week . But let’s face it the world always has been full of dangers from the dinosaurs to the atom bomb and everything in between that doesn’t mean we have to live in fear or teach our children to do so . I don’t remember who said it but life is not a rehearsal we’re only here once , and you’re making it count . Thank you for sharing your adventure with us .
I have to say only one thing. everything that you said about fear is only fear itself, and when you make it past those minor insignificant thoughts in your mind you will more then likely prevail. Fear is a mindful thing!
I want to come sailing with you guys! I'll be your live aboard nanny! I have a year left of nursing school and once I pass the NCLEX I want to experience this lifestyle so badly. You are both so inspiring and the fact that youre doing it with two small children is just next level. You should be so proud of yourselves.

Thanks so much. We just got our catamaran in Dec 2020. We sail for about 4 months a year. First day we had it we lost a propeller and it took 6 weeks to get a new one. So many challenges but like you say, the first time is the hardest and each time it gets a little easier and less stressful. We did a complete refit on the boat last year including electric engines and this year we are wrapping up our season and it was wonderful. Your message resonated with me so much. Thanks for sharing.

Love you guys, this channel brings me so much peace. Serenity, is the feeling that comes to mind. I live in Michigan, I work hard every day to feed my family, and the peace this brings me is appreciated. It's neat when you guys sit down together and talk to us, it's very personable.
If I were to write everything, I thought and felt watching this it would probably be an essay. I like how nothing gets sugarcoated. Perfect picture of Table Mountain with the tablecloth on, passing the Point is special to many sailors (or so I've heard), Fabulous channel, it has become my favorite. Think I just might binge watch from the first episode AGAIN.

Good on you guys you have achieved so much and all while having two kids as well. Particularly impressed with your fixing your bridge deck issues. After all others have spent a year or so doing these sorts of repairs certainly not with kids and family on hold en route in a pit stop.

Glad I did, as I had forgotten how much you two dealt with on this leg. You are both an inspiration and I appreciate you. I am going to do this and I have learned a few things from you. Got my license this year, getting some experience around here with some old salts racing smaller boats, still working, saving, raising older teens, but one day......
