You’re doing an “AWESOME “, job for being you first greenhouse project, and that’s a big task for one person, keep it up. You’re saving yourself a lot of construction money. Good for you.👍

Ms. Farmer, hopefully you will get a chance to check out the series. We very pleased (wifes happy) with the results. Especially given it was made out of free windows and doors. Got most of it right, but will be putting up a 1st year review video in a couple weeks, where I lay out some proposed 'enhancements' for 2024 season. Was a lot of work, but worth all the effort. Thanks for the feedback, very much appreciated.

I agree with the quality of the video's....and of the jobs you're taking on. Quite a step up from refurbishing old tools. Looks great so far....and will be very solid I'm sure. **insert "golf clap" here**

I’ll be back to the old tools this fall. Spent enough money for one year ;)

That looks like way too much work to be doing solo!
Great job on video work too. Felt like watching a TV episode.

I'm worried about solo framing - and more so, solo window installs. Will likely be employing non-conventional framing methods (wall modules) because I can't stand up a 17' wall I don't think, guess we will all find out.

If I live in an area where we have cold winters, should I place footer below the frost line? My greenhouse will be 80 sq ft

I would believe that if you did not put under the frost line then you may be opening yourself up to un-even frost/thaw cycles and potentially cracking your foundation. A cheaper option may be to build it all timber frame, and have it set on good drainage stone with pressure treated lumber as your bottom course of your building. Kind of like 'floating' on the drainage stone not connected. That way it is free to move up and down and tilt temporarily one way or the other with the frost. Should settle back to level by late spring. Like you would a shed or 'baby-barn'.
