    In this video we are doing the footing (foundation) for our Harbor Freight 10x12 foot greenhouse. This was a lot of work and took us about 5 hours to complete. I hope you will stick around to see the build and what we plan to grow in this greenhouse.

    The fact that you developed a plan and carried it out should make you proud.

      Haha! I live in these things. I wore a pair of sandals today and looked so funny because the flip flop tan line I have going. My honey hates it cause he always says I'm going to lose a toe!

    it was fun. not the smoothest build but its dead level. Tips on youtube said that was most important.

    San Diego soil must be easy to dig out. Im trying to do the same project with 4 by 6 pressure treated lumbar as the base all around, but in Texas. The weather changes so fast that I cant even get around to digging. Also, its such a hassle to dig out the soil here. Took me 4 hours to just dig out one side.

      @gratiasgarden  2 года назад +1

      It’s not super say to dig here. I think the main thing we were trying to do was level the ground. Even if it was an inch at a time. Sounds like Texas has some exciting weather ( if you don’t live there haha).

    Did you put the metal base together and measure it I have seen some videos that the base is 1.5 to 2 inches short and not 10 x12

    • @gratiasgarden
      @gratiasgarden  2 года назад +1

      Hi Richard, we did not put it together before we made the foundation. Maybe we got lucky? The width of the foundation is about 4" across but it fits perfectly.

    I was trying to determine the softness of your soil. If I did a foundation like that on my land, I think it would soon not be level. You thoughts?

    • @gratiasgarden

      I think many things would come in to play. I have very hard ground where my greenhouse was built, no slop to wash away the dirt when it rains and hardly any rain. I live in San Diego and it doesn't rain too often here. I think we are pretty confident that it will be level for years to come.

    There wasn't really no instruction to what was going on. Maybe next time give a Lil more detail as what is going on. Thanks got an idea for a footing for my greenhouse.

      You are 100% correct. This was one of my first videos of this type and thought it would have been very long. I have toyed with the idea of reposting this video with a voiceover explaining what we were doing. Thank you so much for your comment and for watching.

      @@gratiasgarden hey long videos are ok ,when you are explaining the steps you took, it's good to hear how somethings were done ,so us viewers have a better idea to make our build like yours.

      Well, if you notice, there is no blade guard and he is running an 8" blade, but thanks for watching and leaving a comment ❤
