She thought she was going to be getting $1000 a month from my husband but in FL child support also figures in time with each parent and there is an "assumption" that 50/50 is in best interest of the child unless proven otherwise. So she was pissed!!!! And her child support is less than half of what she thought it would be.
If she didn't bring the case fwrd the other party wouldn't have been allowed to access her child. The judge told her she has to let her see her child wich was a good outcome for both parties being present 😊

Laws for homosexual couples with children are still kind of questionable/iffy in a lot of states. I would imagine Texas is one of those states. Meaning, many states do not view the 2nd, non-biological wife, the same way they would a biological husband/boyfriend/ex/whatever. Im sure in some states its all intentional to work against same sex couples, but it is also a conflict with how custody of children is decided on in the first place.
She better hope that she doesn't deny the mother access because if she does that's grounds for having the child sent to the other mother. I'd also like to know which of them actually had the child. Or if it's adopted.

I think it's because the child is, currently, living primarily with one parent. If they had a 50/50 schedule for visitation, that's usually when a division of the health insurance happens from what I've seen.
It all depends on the agreement. My guniea had full custody of me and only asked my dad to pay $62 every two weeks and keep health insurance on me. But she also kept insurance on me. They would use her insurance first because her birthday was in October and my dad's was in December.
Plaintiff was out for the child support to live on, not the child being able to see the other parent. So sad for a child to have such a bum mother. She will get it all back when the child grows up and finds out the truth. You know the mother will lie to the child till the child is 18 years old.
I'm paying that plus the Custodial parent is getting reimbursements for the past medical receipts she never presented to me from 2011-2023 OVER 30K ! I just got a new baby who's in the NICU the state of Texas and the OAG doesn't care. The custodial parent told me that two OAG officer advised her to submit these medical receipts! Zero arrears on my case file I had 5 years to go and she pulled me down! How am I going to support both of my kids!

Why doesn't Texas take time with each parent into account when calculating support? I have watched several episodes but never saw time sharing taken into consideration. If parents are 50/50 and make close to the same amount there should be very little, if any, child support awarded.
in florida they do take time sharing into account. The more time you spend with the child the less money they pay. Normally they look at over nights and if you have more than a set number of overnights your child support payment is lowered because you are also taking care of the child. They also take into consideration if you get them clothes for school, school suplied, help with groceries. Any financial help you give thats not a gift is considerede when calculating the amount of child support owed.

No if there is a even split, each parent would be responsible for buy all the child needs when staying at the home, the child will have a room of their own in each parent, parents will have the basic needs. School time each parent is responsible for tuition if any, after school activities, etc all cost is split even. medical cost is split etc.

would the orginal judge have the ability to handle custody disputes? In FL family issues like custody and time sharing are handled by the family courts and issues with child support are handled by a child support division. If this case was held in a traditional famaily court then they should've been able to handle custody issues at that time. There are also guidlines that are to be followed when determining child support that werent really mentioned here. By any chance can you link the original case, im very curious.

THEY DON'T TELL YOU ... according to Title IV-D Federal Child Support Program that the Government matches 1 to 1 for every dollar collected in child support to the Courts, to Helps, and services of the courts . SO the money goes to the Courts but rarely is used to help in any way the people it is sent to the courts to assist. It is used by the courts to "cover expenses."They are already given more than enough money for any and all cost of the courts. Whoever can pay the best child support is the one that gets the shaft. in 94% of all cases it is the father of the child or children. Also support funding from the Government is continued until in most cases till 18 years of age , of the dependent child. The court system is using child support , in the most corrupt way , That is why they will prosecute all back child support cases.....Follow the money!
So mu question is this, my fiance went to child support court years ago, and the rep told him that they had to list him as having the child half the time, as a technicality in order for him to pay support, but he has never been allowed to visit or take the child for weekends at all, isn't that a violation on her part?

would the orginal judge have the ability to handle custody disputes? In FL family issues like custody and time sharing are handled by the family courts and issues with child support are handled by a child support division. If this case was held in a traditional famaily court then they should've been able to handle custody issues at that time. There are also guidlines that are to be followed when determining child support that werent really mentioned here. By any chance can you link the original case, im very curious.

THEY DON'T TELL YOU ... according to Title IV-D Federal Child Support Program that the Government matches 1 to 1 for every dollar collected in child support to the Courts, to Helps, and services of the courts .
SO the money goes to the Courts but rarely is used to help in any way the people it is sent to the courts to assist.
It is used by the courts to "cover expenses."They are already given more than enough money for any and all cost of the courts.
Whoever can pay the best child support is the one that gets the shaft. in 94% of all cases it is the father of the child or children. Also support funding from the Government is continued until in most cases till 18 years of age , of the dependent child.
The court system is using child support , in the most corrupt way , That is why they will prosecute all back child support cases.....Follow the money!
