A few comments: Never use the brake fluid hose to support the weight of a brake caliper, the brake hose could be damaged; ABS sensor or its wire should be removed, to avoid the sensor wire being damaged by tools like wrenches; Wear safety glass!
Thank you for your feedback! You are absolutely right. Brake caliper should be hanged with a special hook, to avoid the damage of the brake hose. We will consider your remarks in our next videos and will try not to make such mistakes. Best regards, Autodoc.
Also: Make sure your sockets are the extra-hardened and thicker variety specified for impact tools. Also : a list of torque-spec's would be very helpful in Nm or foot-lbs. Otherwise clear and easy to follow.
Despite my previous comment I've now successfully changed my rear wheel bearing - it wasn't quite as hard as I made out to remove the bolts! Its amazing what strength the potential of saving garage labour costs gives you :) Seriously though, this video was helpful, thanks
Thank you for the feedback! We are glad that our tutorial was helpful for you. Your opinion and remarks are very important for us. We will take them into consideration for our next tutorial. Best regards, Autodoc.
How long did it take you? I'm considering doing this myself because I don't have the money to send my truck to the shop. I have worked on plenty of my own cars previously but just have very limited time now with being in nursing school .

A pro tip from a non-pro: don't let the calipers hang on like that as it could weaken or damage the hose (I know - they're strong but why risk it?). Use a wire to hang them on or zip tie to get them out of your way. Nice and useful video otherwise (I use toque-wrench whenever possible to reduce the risk of over & under tightening).
True, never never hang the caliper on the brake hose. I saw a tech on my local Volvo dealer just use the brake hose to support the whole weight of the caliper he worked on 2012 Volvo S60 T6 AWD Polestar, I lost the trust on that dealership, and decided to do all brake replacement by myself.
Thank you for your feedback! You are absolutely right. To avoid brake hose damage, the brake caliper must be hanged on. New videos will show the wrench torque with the torque specifications. Best regards, Autodoc.

Great video; I’m just about to attempt this, however I don’t have the large red Jack to compress the torsion bar. Can I get by with a small Jack near to the ground?
We cannot recommend another tool in which this replacement will be within the scope of safety precautions, otherwise we recommend contacting a car service center.
great video just replaced my rear wheel bearing on a 2003 xc90 t6 your video helped me try this myself succeeded but your spanner sizes were wrong for my car. still managed to do the gob, many thanks.
Thank you for your comment! It’s nice that your car is slightly different from ours. Please stay tuned with us and follow our tutorials. Best Regards, Autodoc team
If those bolts are anything like the ones holding my front callipers you must have superhuman strength! I'd be tempted to have a go at this only for the fact i know I'd probably be adding 30 mins per bolt on!
Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately, some cars has specific wearing, and that's why there may be difficulties when dismantling the car part.Best regards, Autodoc.
Now... If I watch this enough times I reckon I could do it!! All I need is a big Hydraulic thingy and the other hikimadoo, tools and that orange outfit. Other than that it’s a fine video thankyou.
overall, good explanation, well done. Could I recommend a brass drift instead of beating on your socket extension. Also, hanging a caliper by the hose is not recommended. Unless it belongs to somebody you just don't care about.
Had seized bolt... Stripped it... had to remove the entire suspension part that the hub attaches too, and still couldn't remove it. Applied so much force that my 15mm socket broke. Anyway, consider buying a few bolts in-case, be prepared to spend a few hours if it comes down to it, and be prepared to take your suspension apart if necessary. By the way, how much torque should be used to tighten the 4 hub bolts?
Thank you for your feedback! We are grateful for such valuable recommendations, it will be useful for our viewers. To tighten the bolts, you will need a torque wrench. For more details, please, check the technical documentation Best regards, Autodoc.
You can easily destroy the regular sockets if you use them on an impact gun, use impact sockets, they are designed for that. Also don't EVER hang the caliber by the hose that can/will cause damage to the hose. If you can hang the caliber using a bungee cord or a strap.
Thank you for your feedback. In general, the replacement is similar to each other, well, there may be differences in design. For this you need more data on your car to say exactly how to make a replacement.
Thank you for your comment! We kindly ask you to clarify your question and we will be able to help you. Please contact our Customer Support team. Best Regards, Autodoc team.
No professional mechanic relies solely on an air gun to tighten things up, always check every nut/bolt with a spanner/torque wrench as applicable, very bad example...
Thank you for the feedback! Your opinion and remarks are very important for us. We will take them into consideration for our next tutorial. Best regards, Autodoc
I think the tech needs some professional training how to use tools properly. 6-point socket is highly recommended to loose those rusted bolts. The 12-point socket or wrench could easily damage the bolt head, and results in an expensive repair.
Deep cranked ring spanners not good , the bolts will be very tight , you will either slip off and damage your hand or round off the hexagonal bolt head ... so use a hexagonal socket not a 12 point socket . Hitting a hammer towards your face is very dangerous ! You should always use new suspension bolts ..Unsupported brake caliper ... How did you angle torque the driveshaft bolt? Volvo supply new caliper bolts with a new disc . I'm sure you will have learned in 5 years or so , by then the power gun will hardly be used at all due to learning from mistakes ......
Thank you for your feedback! We appreaciate your valuable clarification, we will definitely take this into account in the following videos. Best regards, Autodoc!
Share your experience! Has anyone managed to replace this car part on their own using just this video as a tutorial?
I'm doing mine now. Thank you for this clear tutorial! I wish the bearing carrier bolts on my car were as loose as yours...
Beim Schrauben lösen immer schön gegen den ABS Sensor hauen. Und den Bremssattel einfach baumeln lassen. Echte Experten am Werk...
For the average, little to no experience DYIer, this is a great video. But for the well seasoned tech, SUPER SKETCHY!!!😮

About 2 hours, most of which was spent undoing tight bolts. The two spanner trick helped ruclips.net/video/SDI4j1LgqV4/видео.html

Wonderful video!
What model year is this XC90?
How much has the procedure changed from model year to model year?
The procedure must be identical, only minor changes are possible.

Great video’s but small point- clean the mating surface before installing new part.🤙
Yes, you're right, it will be useful for us. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.
Recommend not hangig the break calipers by the brake line. Typically hang them with a wire attached to the chasis.
Anyone’s else’s handbrake came shoes with the disk?
Are wheel studs not a thing orrrr???
Beautiful job thanks :)

irritating music
Do not do it this way the wheel bearing was not properly torqued it will ware out prematurely 🤡
You are absolutely right, in practice it is absolutely necessary to use a torque wrench and keep to the appropriate tightening torques.
Hammering is not very professional
