How did you get the lower control arm back on after you reinstalled the wheel hub and bearing? Having a pain in the ass time putting the control arm back on the car and lining up all the bolts that hold it in place. Did you put the bolts back in on the lca in a certain process?
Yeah I made it alone, and I remember it was a nightmare too...i used the floor jack to help me apply some pressure to lca while tightening bolts. The extra long bolt was first. Sascha B I don’t know, the thing is I read you can make a cheap guetto tool that would help you out (I was too busy and did not have time to do it): 1. Get a 27-mm Impact Socket, not the usual Chrome-Finish Socket because it is difficult to weld anything that is chrome-plated. 2. Go to local muffler shop (or do it yourself if you weld), they must weld the 27-mm Socket to a new 36-mm nut (the 12 point one). 3. Ground down the 12-point part with an Angle Grinder. That’s the BMW Home made tool You can slide it in place and while thightening you will able to reach the axle easily.
